We do stockings in the morning as soon as we get up and have made the coffee, then we get dressed and ready, and start preparing the Christmas roast. It's after dinner for us that we open the presents under our tree - about 3 or 4pm. Spreads the suspense out over the day and means it is not all over right away! We also go round my nan's on boxing day for the pressies under her tree! (from extended family)![]()
That's exactly what we do...stocking pressies with our bacon rolls and tea in the morning - whenever we get up. Then we get dressed and get ready, have Christmas dinner and then open our presents under the tree in the afternoon when we've all eaten. Will be a bit different this year though as we're going to my mum's for dinner and all Sam's presents from grandparents etc are under the tree so we'll probably open them just before we go (12ish)
Can't wait!![]()
You could take them with you and put them under your mum's tree? Just a thought lol That's what I'd do as my mum has pressies under her tree for my younger brother and sister anyway (and me, my older brother and sister too!) - I love the whole present sharing bit of the pressies under the tree
When I was a kid we used to sit in a circle and one assigned person share out the pressies in to piles for each person
then we would go round the circle and open them taking it in turns; one present for one person one at a time hehehe
So exciting!!!!!

I like the circle idea rather than all just ripping them all open at once - makes the present opening last longer too! x
