Just thinking, is there any point in all these tickers and date setting when it comes to ttc. I know I'm one to talk as obviously I have one BUT...

I just wanted to throw that out there...pros and cons to setting a date?

Yep there is a point in my date/ticker. I have been waiting for this for 1 and a half years, it reminds me that im one step closer everyday

I agree with PrincessKay. It helps people feel better for waiting in my opinion - i know it does me!

I've not got a ticker as not sure when exactly we will be planning on TTC. Mainly due to DH and his inability to plan anything... I'm the planner so think it will be up to me. Its more my internal ticker that is ticking than anything else. I feel like I'm on a countdown. The next step of our lives together as a married couple is soon going to be changing in the next couple of years. (besides we dont know till we try hehe)

Its a countdown to an exciting event in life... your childs birthday, your wedding, TTC... it just helps you keep track of how much longer you have to either get things in order, be it lose weight, save money, new home etc etc etc before the BIG day... whatever that big day is  Just a little reminder showing you each day it is getting closer and closer.

I will have a ticker when we have 100% agreed on a date :)

No point me putting a ticker up because after TTC for almost a year the strain is showing on our relationship and I'm not sure when, or if, we'll TTC again :(

I think they're cute! I don't have one as we don't have a definite date set for anything. All my OH will confirm is that he definitely wants at least one kid before he's 30, and he wants us to be married first. He's 26 on Saturday and we're not even engaged yet! I don't think he realises how long it takes to plan a wedding and how long it can take to make a baby!

Same as what everyone else has said really, it gives you something to look forward to, and also you can talk to people who are ttc at the same time as you which is useful x

I find my tickers useful.. lets me know where I am up to etc in my cycle and its interesting for other people to see where you are up in your cycle and other peoples too. :)

I am a countdown addict (I don't mean the TV show - ho ho ho!) - you can probably tell by the amount of tickers I have! :D I love counting down to things, because it gives you something to look forward to, and there is always something to look forward to... and therefore, always something to countdown to! For me, it represents the constant passage of time, and reminds me that things do come around eventually. :)

gives me a visuAL aid for whats to come i removed the TTC as that may change plus im not even considering having kids till im 26 so thatl be 2015

OMG WE Have the same anniverssary woo 30/05/2010???

For me is comes down to trying to plan the timing of delivery, I work in the school system so delivering in June/July would be good because I have the whole summer off. And I hate the heat and don't care to be pregnant in the summer. :happydance:

I got rid of my ticker after our date kept changing it was more painful than exciting but I do like to see other peoples, just not for me at the moment. But I am looking forward to having a pregnancy ticker.

I think they are silly! Just kidding, I like tickers but will never have a countdown to ttc since our date is so unsure.. Well, I'l get a ttc ticker later! One of those that sayhow many times you've bd - ok, maybe not THAT specific. But what I really wanted was a pregnancy ticker like, now!

I love my WTT ticker, gives me hope that it will soon be my turn. Also helps me plan, like when to start taking pre natals and stuff. I got so excited when I got under a year for WTT!! xx
