DH and I are TTC#2 as well . We have been trying since Aug 2011 (on cycle 6). I am 31 and DH is 37. My son is almost 15 mos old and we really want to give him a little brother or sister soon! We conceived him on our 3rd cycle trying so kinda thought it would have happened by now for this one, but we are keeping our hopes up that it will happen soon! Been using pre-seed and OPKs as our TTC methods.

GL and lotsa lotsa Baby Dust !!

Oh leinzlove so we are very much in the same place! i don't really count my first cycle anyway because it was 2 months long and we rarely BD, how long did it take you to conceive #1? we had two cycles of BD every second day and the both resulted in the BFN then the first cycle we BD everyday resulted in our BFP!

as for this cycle i think i ov'd CD14 and i'm currently on CD15, although i'm incredibly crampy this evening so maybe Ov is today... Where are you in your cycle?

TTC #1 was so easy, cycle 1. Romantic actually... I came home from work one evening to find roses with a card saying. "Don't you think its time to start our family?" You'd be a wonderful mother! I'm ready when you are."

And I was ready... I told him so. And it was nonstop romantic BD for 10 days. I went to work one morning and was so nauseated! All day, it just wouldn't go away. I started suspecting I was pregnant. But, in the back of my head, was like no way, not already.

I took a pregnancy test anyways. Only to go online and find myself in the 2ww, it lined up with my cycle as the day of conception... But the symptoms kept telling me I was... And sure enough 9 days later I got a FRER :bfp: so faint, Dh said it was negative. I told him just watch it get darker every day. And it did.

As you see, we'd been using the pull out method for 7 years, and no pleasant surprises. We knew it wasn't reliable BC. But, knew we'd be ok, and happy if it happened. So we thought it was going to take a long time... Our miracle, easy pregnancy, natural birth 39w 2d, sent me into labor on Easter Day to be born the next morning. And she's a very easy baby, makes me so happy. I wonder why we waited! :) (Well thats another story, lets just say I'm the oldest of 10 children.)

Awwee...What a great story you have for your daughter. I loved this, thanks for sharing :)

I'm in the same boat as you and Betheny - cycle 6 TTC#2, currently on CD9 so have a lot of BDing ahead of us this next week. Not near as romantic as your TTC story :winkwink:

Hi Leinzlove, lovely to meet another cleft mummy :D xx

Hey ladies! I am 25 & DH is 26 about to be 27. We are ntnp but are talking about ttc#2 starting in March. I am not sure I can wait that long though! We already have an 8 month old. I am currently a stay at home mom & also a full time student. I will graduate next May. I know it sounds crazy to want another baby so soon or even while I am in school ( I say this because people I have shared this with think give me the are you serious face!). I hope that it is as easy for us the second time around but for some reason I have a feeling it won't be.

:dust: to everyone

Hi ladies! We are ttc #2 and yes my son is five months old as my ticker says..we may be a little  I am 25 and my husband is 22 we have been married four years. It took almost 2 years to ttc our son. Lots of fertility tests and turned out we were both fine it just wasnt happening. Our lovely Dominic is a clomid baby :) .

I am a stay at home mom (weird saying that since Ive always worked till now!) My husband is in the US Army has been for four years, 2 year long deployments :( in which the last one he left when I was 7 weeks pregnant and came back when our son was three months old. So waiting may not be an option for us since he is not home every day of every cycle. Plus we are living overseas in Germany and having my son here was a great experience and I would LOVE to have another one before we head back to America. Since hubby got back a little over a month ago this is our first month ttc :)

Im charting temps, ovulation tests and hpt stocked up we are ready to do this! Hope it doesnt take as long as last time :(

:dust: to us all!!

~Chipper- Thank you! Its definitley not as romantic this time around. But, I have hopes that this month is the one for us all! :hugs:

~toots4- Yes another cleft Mommy here! When do you go for repair? Chloe's is March 7, I hope its the last surgery. She had jaw distraction this last June, was so hard. And she had distractor removal and ear tube placement in September.

~ daddiesgift- I hope #2 happens alot faster than #1 did. I hope this is your month!

Seems to be lots of toddler and infant mothers up in here! :)

-Leinzlove- Cody had is lip repair in August when he was 15 weeks old and his palate was repaired 2 weeks ago. His jaw, ears etc have been fine so far. Fingers crossed he wont need any more surgery for a couple of years. He has been so brave. Sounds like your LO has been through a lot too. Does cleft run in your family? We have no family history and Cody has no chromosome problems so we are hoping it was a one off xx

Hello, good evening,

My name is Nikki in 24, my husband is 25. We are trying to conceive baby #2. My first son, karma, is 2 years old. I was on the Mirena after giving birth, i kept it for a little over a year but then got a bad infection. come to find out it was imbedding into my uterus. after having it removed i started using the ring. Right after my sons 2nd birthday my husband and i decided we would try for our 2nd child. We have only been trying since November, but we are hoping this month is our month. Fingers crossed to any one trying!! :hugs:

I hope you don't! Chloe has a 25% she'll need another surgery after this palate repair. But, she is completely healthy otherwise. A dream really. We've also had no evidence that supports its genetic, hereditary or just freak of nature. It is very rare (1-300,000). She was born with pierre robin sequence. We are at 3-5% increased risk...I love those odds. And to have another just like her. Would be ok, we don't want to. But, for the miracle we'd do it again.

It was rough at first. We didn't find out until the day she was born. And I delivered at a hospital, that didn't have a nicu. So, she was transported out 2 hours after birth, that night I cried & cried. I'm just so glad it all turned out well. I'm very blessed!

How was your labor? When did you find out? I'm glad they can't find any evidence with your case, also. :) Good Luck ttc #2! :)

We found out about Cody's cleft at our 20 week scan although at that stage they though it was unilateral and it turned out to be bilateral. My labour was pretty normal. He was born at 38+1 after an 8 hour labour with gas and air. The paediatrician was present at delivery and checked him over straight away. He was a little grey so was put in an incubator for an hour. All was fine until 6 hours after birth and he turned blue during a nappy change. So he was sent to NICU where he remained for 13 days :-( He also had a heart murmur which has since corrected and kidney reflux which he is being treated for still. Hoping for a smoother experience this time.

I hope your little girls surgery goes well in March. I hate putting them through it. We were told there is a 30% chance of a 2nd surgery required for the palate :S

Sending lots of baby dust to all you lovely mummies xx

Thought I would come join, too! I am 30 and today is my husband's 31st birthday. We have a 16 month old daughter. She was conceived relatively easily (on the 3rd cycle). We are currently on our 3rd cycle ttc #2 and I am hoping that #3 is our lucky cycle!!! This month we BD just about everyday (maybe missed a night here and there) during what I thought to be the 2 weeks around my fertile window.

With my daughter I never charted or checked cm/cp.... but this time around I am being a bit crazy..... hope it doesn't stress me out so much that it hurts my chances.

Baby dust to you all!!

Hi everyone, I was pleased to see this thread. I am trying to concieve number 2 through donor insemination. Concieved my first child first cycle, although that was almost 10 yrs ago now and I was 19 then.

Now married and planned a baby- can I get pregnant?!! No!! We concieved first try with a donor but ended in miscarriage. Tried a few more times, then had a break as I was so down about it all. Altogether I'm on cycle 5 which I know isnt a long time, just feels like it. I was so chilled this month and didnt even think about it, then when af is on its way I get so frustrated! :sad2:

Good luck everyone, I hope you get lucky soon x

We got lucky. Chloe's NICU stay was only 5 days. But, we had follow up with the craniofacial clinic... and they told us she had to have emergency jaw distraction. She was failing to thrive and had recessive breathing. Her tongue was causing her airway to be blocked. It was devastating... I cried and cried.

We stayed in the PICU for 7 days. She was intubated, and kept out of it. So, scary to see her that way. But, after the surgery I was just happy she remained alive.

We stayed over night after the 2nd surgery, which is normally outpatient. Chloe was in to much pain to go home, and needed monitored while on morphine.

What little fighters... we have! I know right, my sister cringes when her children get shots. That doesn't faze me one bit.

I hope its a smoother experience for us both! :)

Hey Joralynn,

You sound a lot like me. I have a 9 year old daughter from my first (very young marriage). I am now 28, remarried, and trying for number two. This will be my husbands first child. He adopted my daughter, but doesn't have any children through blood. I have been trying a bit over a year. I was diagnosed with stinking PCOS late October. My husband had a SA and it was all good. Dr. just said it was going to take a bit longer b/c of my condition.

Good luck!
