Wishing, wanting, waiting.....TTC for a year PLUS!

Thanks girls for thinking of me.

Well everything looks good, both tubes open and clear, although it took them 3 attempts to get the contrast fluid in as the catheter thingy kept comming out.

No pain though which was good.

On the NHS in the UK they will make us wait another year and then send us straight for IVF. OH and I have already talked about this and we are going to get a private consultation to talk through the less invasive options. So far we seem to be in the unexplained infertility category, which doesn't help in some respects, but gives you hope that there is nothing physically wrong.

How is everone doing?

Well hello there gorgeous ladies. How are you? People I don't speak to on fb, Ive missed you loads! Xxxxxxx

Hi everyone!

Hey Ejay, great to hear that everything is looking good and that the procedure went well! Sounds like a great plan you and your hubby have come up with...waiting a year then straight to IVF is one option I guess but it is a good idea to look into other options too...
I hope you are doing ok...think of you often. How is Molly? Sending you much love xxx

Hi Honeybee!! How are you lovely? You have definitely been missed on BnB! Hope all is well, you are also in my thoughts all the time! xxx

YAY, congrats on the HSG results. Though I do agree it sucks to not have some sort of explanation. I have one blocked tube, but even with that, the doctors say I should have ovulated from the other side enough times to get pg by now. I wish there was some sort of test that said "THIS is exactly why you aren't pg, but we can fix it with X treatment"

Thanks everyone.

Hi Honey, huge congratulations sooo excited for you xx

Hiya Lucky thanks for thinking of me, sorry haven't kept up with things on here. Molly is doing fine, getting her back into work now and plenty of rides out in the countryside which is great. How's Lucy doing?

Squirrel, you hit the nail on the head, I so want someone to be able to diagnose exactly what is wrong and give me some kind of treatment to fix it. I am slowly comming to terms with the fact that we may never know what the reason is.

Thinking of you all xx

I'm glad everything was A-Ok!

I hope you girls just get pregnant already. By the grace of the big guy above, I hope my bnb friends get their wish.

:dust:

:hi: everyone

So my temp dropped today and :bfn:

Ejay glad that the appointment but I agree it would be easier to accept if something was proven to be the reason as there would be light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. Please let the rest of us get pregnant soon. The more months that goes on the harder my loss is hitting me, at least if I had another baby to look forward to I could move on but never forget. This will be the 21st cycle for me xx

Can't remember seeing an ultrasound with twins before...so cool.

Stopping in to throw some dust in the air hopinh some of you catch it!!!

Miss you all and hoping for you all the time!

Well got m,y results from the Gynaecological nurse today. The HSG confirmed no blockages but the ultrasound showed what they believe to be a haemorrhagic ovarian cyst on my left ovary and a comment about possible endometriosis. I have no idea what this all means, the nurse suggested we pay for a private consultation with a fertility specialist ad discuss treatment.

I have to go back in 3 months time for another ultrasound.

Don't really know what to think.

:hugs: Ejay :hugs: I'm really sorry the gynecologist didn't have more follow up information for you. That is similar to my experience though - once they diagnosed my DH with motility issues they said we had to move on to a fertility specialist to get more information. I think you said that you couldn't see one through NHS until you've been trying for two years? Is it expensive to see one privately? In my experience, the tests are the most expensive part. Fortunately it sounds like you got the HSG through NHS, right?

I've known a few gals with ovarian cysts and endo that went on to get pregnant. I hope it isn't too long till you can see someone about that, get a straight answer, and get treatment (if that is what you want to do).

Jaimie, thanks for your comments. The NHS make you wait for 3 years before referring you to a fertility specialist, that is only another 10 months or so away for us.

OH and I will be going for a private consultation just to discuss treatment options and what all the results actually mean.

In the UK it seems that IVF is what the NHS consider to be the most cost effective treatment.

If that is the best option for us then OH and I are ok with that, but we just want to go through all the options for us first before heading straight into IVF. I am hoping that a private consultation with the fertility specialist will give us the opportunity.

Glad you are able to go see a specialist privately Ejay - I'm sure you'll get better answers and more attention. I also hope they are able to give you more options. Although now that I've been through it, I have to say that IVF isn't really the ordeal I feared it would be. Maybe it was the just the medication I was on (there are several different protocols and some are more grueling than others). A month and a half and it was over, and I really didn't feel any worse for the wear. I think the worst part was the mental process it took to accept that my struggle had gotten to the point where IVF was something to consider - that part was difficult. I just couldn't understand why we had to get to that point. But now that I'm past it I find it hard to relate to the fuss I made over it.

Really hope you are able to find a good specialist and that they are able to see you soon!

well appointment booked with the fertility specialist at the private clinic on 3rd August.

hopefully we can get some answers

That is fantastic news Ejay! Less than a month away now. It must be a relief to have the appointment made.

That great Ejay. I am all for progress :) 1 month is going to fly by really quickly x

Just dropping by to say that is wonderful you have an appt booked Ejay...I hope that you find it helpful. I will be back to see how it went! I think of you often xxx all the best
