+ WTT baby number 1 +

ohhh... I soo wanna go buy baby clothes right now! or knit some! I think it might look crazy if I started knitting stuff now.. but I could always say it's for my niece or nephew who's going to be born in August.

My main worry is the health of the baby - which is why I'm trying to eat healthy, do regular workouts, take prenatals, etc. Otherwise, I'm actually excited for labour. I plan to do it with no drugs, and although I'm not looking forward to the pain, I'm not scared either. We'll see if that changes when I'm 9 months pregnant!

I know what you mean, I'm almost a little excited for the experience of labour.
Right now I think morning sickness would also be an intriguing adventure.

Though, I think I'll opt for the drugs when it comes to labour.

i already have started knitting and making stuff  not many people know really my family mainly, once they are done i put them away in a box where i leave them and not look at them again until they will be needed :haha: x

I wish I could knit! LOL I do not have the skill for it...

Anyone can knit with one of these! Even my MIL, who has awful arthritis in her fingers.

im looking forward to birth, i partly think thats my midwife side though, haha.
but if you think about it, the pain is a good thing. it tells you you are in labour and that this baby is coming. it helps you to move around and find the right position to give birth in and you can also feel whats right.
thats my opinion anyways =)

Who can knit?!

I am going to be practicing crochet... hopefully knitting will come easily after I master that.

I must be the uncrafty one of the bunch because I can't knit, crochet, sew, or anything like that :(

I've not started making baby stuff yet, but about to start on some of the fab booties etc that Odd_Socks gave me patterns for...I knit and sew (and do a whole heap of other crafty stuff when I've time). I don't even have a TTC date, so people will definitely think I'm crazy...ah well!

Bartlettpear...my sister has started crocheting- she's an amazing knitter and thought she'd give it a go- think she actually finds what she's been doing a bit harder than the knitting...but prob because it's new. She made me the most amazing crochet bag for my birthday!

Heres the patch work quilt i did

Anniepie--PLEASE don't think you're crazy for making things even though you're not waiting for ttc! I think it's splendid & am very jealous that I'm not as crafty as you ladies! I don't have the patience or skill to do such a thing. These things take time & mean so much when they are given/worn because the person know's you took the time out to do it for them:hugs:

Odd_socks--Those are adorable! Love it:thumbup:

I really need to get myself a sewing machine! Would you be willing to share the directions for the booties?

Forget for a baby... I would love to make those booties for my little maltese :haha: Seriously. LOL.

I am envious of your sewing skills! Handmade blankets and clothings are the best! I cant wait to see other things you make

Cant wait to see how your booties turn out as well, I need to find some patterns so I can maybe practice. But now i am super motivated to start crocheting... I want to make an afghan to put on the back of my couch. It seems like something my grandma would do, but I just feel like an afghan is what my living room needs? :)

I think this is what it means to hijack a journal, sorry!
