~Yorkshire BnB'ers Chinwag~

Hello everyone how are we:flower:

Not been able to get on for a few days, Noah had his injections on tues and been a monkey since! Seriously last night was the 1st sleep i had, and that was only because i went to bed when he did at 7.15 so i had till he got me up at 1am. He's been so wimpery and clingy its been def pulling at the heart strings!

OH is being a star and said to go out tomorro nite to have some time out and he'll have him, so me and the girlies are off out to the working man's club lol. Can't wait i seriously need a break this week.

I've noticed Noah is all smiles for daddy though, and as soon as he sees me the bottom lip comes out and he wants picking up the little monkey:dohh:

I had a go at my yummy mummy workout dvd yesterday...lasted 10 mins:wacko:

What's everyone up to this weekend then? xx

morning! Lucky you getting out for a bit, sounds like you need it! Plans for the weekend hopefully involves getting some sleep as i've been up pretty much all night with charlie who at the moment wants feeding the second he wakes up! Am tired and sore and already looking forward to gav getting home from work and he's only just gone! Poor noah after his injections, it's awful thinking we have to do it to them all over again in 4 weeks time isn't it? Xx

Hey all, hope everyone's ok :flower:

Laura, you're a married lady now, huuuuuge congrats :happydance: That one slipped right by me :dohh:
Aimee, hope you're hubby is feeling ok and I'm so excited for you starting to ttc#3 :hugs:

We're waiting til Arf is about 4/5 before having a third, because I couldn't do pregnancy all over again with two little ones, I swear I'd crack up :headspin: Arf is everywhere right now and it's so hard keeping a hold of him. He crawls like he's on speed, pulls himself up on everything then makes an attempt to walk but because he has about as much balance as an unoccupied pogo stick were just having a lot of bashed noses and woeful cries at the moment. I swear, I don't know who's more frustrated; him or me :growlmad: I'm not enjoying pregnancy right now I gotta confess  I just want this baby to be here so we can get on with our lives and I feel like we're waiting in limbo right now. Sickness comes full throttle then disappears again and I can't keep track, it's doing my head in. I think I'm nesting a bit early this time though because I've been on a bit of a cleaning frenzy the last few days. Plus, I'm just getting my bathroom re-done and so I have an image of perfection in my head of how I want it to be and my poor hubby is expected to be able to make it happen, despite the fact he can't see what that image is and I don't seem to be able to project it very well

Lia - my mum and dad live in Ossett, in Wakefield and she used to live in Horbury, which is lovely. They're hoping to move Harrogate so my dad doesn't have such a hefty commute every day.

Katie - I feel your pain on the cold; it's been bloody awful lately and I actually think I could quite easily become a hermit this winter.

Work today :growlmad: booooo! It's crap but oh well, gotta do it (til my next mat leave anyway ) Have a great day everyone. xx

Just to let you all know we managed to get Noah a jumperoo yippee:happydance:. Plus it was only £40 so bonus! We saw advert in the admag so went and checked it out this evening and it was like brand new:thumbup:

Hope Noah likes it. I know he doesn't realise it's christmas, but I think i'm gonna have to wrap it up for him anyway:haha: I can get plenty of pics of him next to his pressies then lol

Ah hope Noah is feeling better after the jabs now. :flower: Great you got a jumparoo. Chloe was only a 2 months old last Christmas and I know she didn't really realise what was going on but she could kind of tell from everyone else being giddy that something was up, she was all smiles bless. I'm sure your LO will enjoy a good christmas even if he's too young to remember it :D

Weekend plans, im getting a hair cut finally yey lol its a christmas present for me so a bit of an early one but I am sick of it looking so crappy - the last time it was cut was July :dohh:

MrsB: Aww hope Arf doesn't have too many more bumps, he's obv. eager at wanting to get moving!

Ugh I really should be getting on with my assignment but I really really really can not be bothered. Deadline is tomorrow so I have until 11.59pm   OH has gone out, I was waiting until he went so I could focus but i;m a bit sick of him going out every single week that I'm in a bad mood! Need to chill! Plus I just scoffed far too many chocs and feel a tad

Chloe has 'Children in Need' day tomorrow. She can either go wearing spots or a monster. I have potentially a spotty outfit but I really want to send her in her witch constume . . . hope that is monstery enough :shurg: I figured she will grow out of that costume quicker than the spotty t-shirt so I'm prob going to pop her in that (its the one in my avetar).

:flower:

Thanks hun, yeah I def need it:haha: Really not looking forward to the next lot of injections if Noah's been this bad with the 1st:nope:

Aw I hope you manage to get some sleep this weekend. Is Charlie having a growth spurt? x

morning, yeah i think he must be. 3 hours broken sleep again last night, he just wants to feed all the time. My boobs are sore and i'm exhausted. Gav said something like 'well that's the joys of breastfeeding' to me last night, as though he was saying 'it's your own fault, you insisted on doing it' and i actually could have killed him. He's sleep deprived too bless him, he'd never say anything like that normally. It doesn't help that charlie has outgrown his moses basket but refuses to sleep in his cot! Good bargain hunting skills with the jumperoo by the way, i've got one for charlie for christmas which i'm picking up tonight x

:hugs::hugs: Sarah-Jane

I know, it's hard isn't it and sometimes OH's just don't know what to say and so inevitably end up saying the wrong thing :dohh: BF was so hard for me and I exclusively expressed for three months, and stopped completely at 6 months, which was even harder, I swear  Hoping it's a better experience this time. Sleep deprivation can do funny things to you, hope you're ok.

Has everyone had a good weekend? Arf is really ill with a bad cold and I've been up half the night with him. I feel so helpless; his nose is really blocked and so he can't take much milk or suck his dummy because the poor little lamb can't breathe properly  Think I'm a bit of an emotional mess; it's truly awful seeing your baby like that. I rubbed vicks onto his sleepsuit and his feet (absorbs it better apparently ) last night, put a hot towel on the radiator to steam the room a little and he seems a tad better this morning but we're all knackered.

Have a good day everyone :hi: xx

aw poor little man! I've been told that sitting in a steamed up bathroom with them helps, and a bowl of water with a drop of olbas oil in it under your radiator at night is supposed to help too, but no good if you've got a cat! I hope he feels better soon. Well, growth spurt over and i'm well and truly amazed. Last night he slept from 12 till 4 then 4.30 till 8, and it's the third night of good sleep! Not only that but he seems to have changed too? Can't quite put my finger on it, but instead of napping after every feed he's now awake and alert and smiling. He plays more, has figured out how to pretend to be shy, chatters more, and even giggled once on saturday although haven't been able to get him to do it again since. He's just sort of grown up if that makes sense? Xx

MrsB: I use Karvol on a hanky near the top of Chloe's cot if she is really snuffily. Do you have the saline drops to help clear his nose too? Hope he feels better soon :flower:

sjminimac: I know what you mean, I was speaking to my BIL a few weeks back and he was saying how Chloe must be so much fun now with her little personality now she is 1 and I remember telling him then that I remeber she became fun around 3months-ish. Not that she wasn't fun before, it's just when her little personality started to come though. :cloud9:

Good morning all.

Welcome Verity, what a small world it is, i'm living in Almondbury too. I am from Salendine Nook but have been living up here for almost 2 years :) Did you give birth at CRH? xx

I know, not even in the top 20! I was amazed that the winner got over 1000 votes, fix!

I am upset with the weather today. It is rubbish when it's like this and you have a child to entertain.

Hello! Sorry; I lost the link to this thread, and got terribly confused! Yep, Ted's a CRH baby. They were so lovely. We're now TTC #2, and though I'm desperate for a home birth this time, I'd go back, no worries!

1000 votes?! I pimped him EVERYWHERE! We didn't get anywhere near that many, I'm sure. Got to be some 'multiple email address work going on there surely!

Where in Almondbury are you? We're moving in a week and a half, but still with Almondbury!
xx

:hi: yorkshire puds  havent posted here for a while i keep 4getting bout it , hope ur all ok xxxxx

I have to admit I pimped Chloe all around my work and I work at Hudd Uni! Plus her nursery, family etc and no such luck. OH got all the shops he delivers to in Derby and Nottingham to have a go too. I did actually try the multiple email address thing but it didin't work. Makes me wonder if I disqualified her or something? :dohh:

Hi all, sorry I've not been in for a while. My daughter had a mini op last Friday to drain an infected absess in her neck that had burst. She's been so brave through it all bless her, although she has an open wound in her neck and a nurse has to come every 2 days to remove the packing and reinsert some more which she really hates, poor love. Just had the doc on the phone to say it looks like she has a-typical tb which is not nasty like the normal tb but it can stop wounds healing, so its likely that she'll need another op to remove a lymph gland in her neck. So things have been a bit rubbish really, I'm just hoping it gets sorted soon.

I've not had time to catch up but I hope everyone and their lo's are ok xx

Oh poor Evie :hugs: Glad to hear her absess is being sorted but sorry to hear she has a-typical tb. I hope they can sort everything out for her soon and it all goes well :flower: :hugs:

Hey everyone, how are we all fairing up in the snow? I hate it and so I'm staying in! :sulk: Gonna put my shopping order in online and hope it gets here . . . correctly! No work next week as I have some holiday to take woohooo!!
Yesterday was a completely awful day; Arf had an accident and so we had to take him to the childrens hospital. It was my fault and I can't tell you how bad I feel but the dr checked him out and said he's completely fine, he just has quite a bruise. He fell fowards off his changing unit, from about 2 and a half foot so I've learned a pretty hard lesson, but I'll be so much more careful now.

Feltzy, you're little girl sounds sooo brave after going through all that, poor little lamb :hugs:

We really should organize a Yorkshire meet some time soon, after xmas now would probably be better, but it'd be lovely to say a proper hello to you all :flower: Have a good weekend everyone. xx
