~Yorkshire BnB'ers Chinwag~

Hello all, Ive just spotted this section and thought id join you :D Im Kirsty, 21 and I live in Scarborough, though I was born and bred in Bradford. I have a beautiful daughter Holly who is 3 in a fortnight, and me and the OH are TTC baby number 2! Im also a student nurse at York uni :D xx

:hi: Welcome Kirsty, I'm another ex-Bradfordian :flower: Good luck with ttc no 2 :D

Ey up ladies :haha:

Sorry I'm not about much - Dylan is not shifting this bronchiolitis really just as I think its going it comes back with a vengeance. Roll on April when I can get a new phone and get online on that of an evening :haha:

Hope you're all doing good. Ladies - any of you doing / done baby led weaning? Experiences / thoughts? HVs seem to be pretty hit and miss about it here - some openly encourage it, others have no idea what it is  we have slowed right down with Dylan being unwell as getting milk into him is effort enough but before that he seemed to be doing well

Hope you're all good!

Hi pinkandfluffy, I do know that sjminimac has started with BLW, she may have some advice for you? Hope your little man is feeling better soon xx

Thank you! He just seems to have been permanently off colour, hate winter!!!

My ey up obviously extended to the new ladies too, hello :hi: I just flick on while the boy naps on my knee so one handed typing keeps my posts short :winkwink:

BLW went well with my first, he started grabbing food from plates and even though I made things he could et with a spoon the majority of food was just popped in front of him and he ate what he wanted from the selection. I'll do the same with the youngest when he's old enough. Be prepared for a messy floor!

Hello Ladies, how are we all? Just realised it's gone a tad quiet in here! Hope your all okay :flower:

hi ladies hope you're all well! It's very quiet in here. Just thought i'd share some pics of charlie and little frankie westbrook taken when we met yesterday :)

Aimee: I saw on FB Happy Birthday to Nathan! :flower:

Pinkandfluffy - shame on you :haha: Kidding, glad you pop back now and then though :flower: Hope you get the move sorted.

Hello ladies!

Up for a night feed, trawling through bnb on my phone and I find this thread/group! What a fab idea!

I'm Jo, I'm from Sheffield and my baby boy is Harry. I'm married and he's our first. I return to work tomorrow (Monday) after a year off work and in dreading it.

Hope you and your families are all well.

xx

:hi: Hello Jo, hope tommorw goes nice and quick for you :flower:

We decided to go to the big car boot in Halifax, had heard rumors it was going to be developed on but nothing concrete, did a google and still nothing so we headed off - darn thing IS being developed on!! Does anyone have a clue if its still going on and where? Or at least any other ones in / near West Yorkshire? The one in our town is pretty darn poor, always about 4 cars, really don't know why people bother, they must make about 50p!

Thanks Kte - to be fair I'm not getting on either forum too much at the minute, Dylan has just started crawling so chasing him around like a nut haha!!!

No idea about any carboots though I'm afraid

Hi Jo :hi: :hi: nice to meet you! Good luck for your return to work argh it goes so quick doesn't it :nope:

:haha: I know what you mean, Chloe has to be in bed or I am at work before I can get any internet time!

Thank you ladiesl

Well Harry has a sickness bug so can't go to the child minder and I don't think taking the day off to look after him would go down well at work. It's rubbish cos all he's keeping down atm is milk and he doesn't drink lots at a time from a cup and won't take a bottle.

Daddy is taking the day off but it'll be so tough leaving him.

Aw I hope Harry starts to feel better soon, its not nice when they're sick, I'm sure he'll be fine with daddy and he'll have a big smile for you when you get home :hugs:

Hi Kte, there's a big one at Dewsbury Rams rugby ground that's always very busy, and one at Dewsbury open air market too. Can't tell you if they're good or not as I'm never up to go to them, but my husband goes every other week xx
