1dpo (June 7) Looking for 2WW buddies

I went to my dr maybe two months ago? It was just a routine gyno appt but she asked what we were doing for bc and I said nothing and when she found out we'd been trying since August, she said we should do some tests. So I had my thyroid and progesterone checked (both fine), then had a post-coital (also fine). After hearing from so many women that you couldn't get help until you had been trying for a year and sometimes longer, I wasn't even going to bring up ttc to her, but I am so glad she is willing to help.
Hopefully since it's been even longer for you, your dr will keep moving forward with whatever is next for you.
Our son was soooo easy... we were ntnp and had only been :sex: for maybe four months. Then I went on bcp, and honestly, I think I wasn't even o'ing for the first few months when I came off of it. Never doing that again.

Yeah, the rule of thumb with most Dr's is that it can take a "normal" couple up to 12 months to conceive. So, if you've been trying for that long they can refer you out to a R.E. SOME ob/gyns will refer your out more quickly, moreso if you've been keeping charts, using OPKs, etc. Something that shows them that you're not O'ing, or some other fertility problem. My last ob/gyn was cool for like appts and what not, but when it came down for me asking for testing for PCOS to rule stuff out he was a jerk. It runs in my family and I wanted to know if this was a factor we were up against. I O'd on my own in January, POSSIBLY in May, then took Femara and O'd in June. My O this month was similar to my O in January. I felt it. And, I felt changes in my body with it. May, I think my body was gearing up but didn't quite do it. If I don't have PCOS it could be that coming off the birth control totally messed up my body. Nothing has been "normal" since then. I was on birth control for about 8 years! I'm not sure my body knows what to do anymore. The Femara taught it a lesson :haha: If in 5 months we still don't conceive my new Dr will refer us out to a R.E. I never though it'd be this hard, I thought I'd come off the pill and BAM! We'd be pregnant. :nope: My OH is really support, he doesn't want to do his S/A until AF comes though. LOL.

Weird. My cramps haven't really been "cramps" today. It's this weird feeling in my stomach with a little bit of pressure. Almost the way your stomach feels when you have stage fright. A nervous tummy.

Okay, silly question. What's an RE?
My ob/gyn specializes in fertility issues, so she's been doing all my tests so far. My insurance doesn't cover anything related to infertility, so I'm sure they wouldn't allow for me to see a fertility specialist. So far, I've only had to pay for one test, but I'm a little worried about how expensive this could get if it goes on much longer. :(

RE = Reproductive Endocrynologist (or however you spell that). I sought one out on my own after 3 miscarriages. They are fertility specialists. I defintiely get WAY better care from my RE than I did from my OBGYN. Only issue is they don't really accept my insurance, or rather I have no coverage for fertility treatment. if they bill me as "recurrent miscarriage diagnosis" it is covered, but anything more than that is not.

AHA. That makes sense; thank you.
My insurance seems to have covered the progesterone and thyroid bloodwork, but obviously they couldn't cover the post-coital. I mean, other than infertility, what else could a post-coital possibly be used for?
I know there are lots of reasons for an ultrasound, so hopefully that will be covered. I've heard they're expensive. And the lap... I don't even want to think of how much that would cost... but if they have to do it, if they'd see some blockage or endo or something, I would think that would be covered.

I'm back! Spotting again. Bleh. Almost all of my tests are back, everything seems to be in a "normal" range... but my progesterone doesn't have a range on it. It just says that my level is 8.2. I talked to my sister and she said it should be about 10. =( Oh well, not everyone is textbook, right? I have 1 or 2 tests that need to show up on the website, but so far so good. So, then we question... am I pregnant? Is it him? Is it me? Is it just a "normal" waiting period? Oh, the joys of being a woman! Please please please don't let this turn into AF.

Awww, well, hopefully it doesn't.
And if it does, unfortunately some of us will be left behind to go through the next cycle with you. Of course, best case scenario is we all go on to be bump buddies!! FX'd!!

Very true. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could just CHOOSE to be pregnant. LOL like, "Mom and Dad consent to this." And, BAM! you're with child.:haha:

Am I too late to join this party? I O'd on June 6th (or possibly the 7th). I got my first peak reading on my CBFM on the 6th and felt O like pains that evening. 6 DPO today and the waiting is killer.

A bit of background on me - DH and I have been TTC#2 for over a year now. We've been successful in getting pregnant 3 times over this year, but all 3 ended in MC. My last D&C threw my body for a loop and I think I'm FINALLY back on track now (6 months later) after having an HSG and operative hysteroscopy. Hoping we did everything "right" this cycle!

Baby dust to you all. When does everyone plan on testing? I'm hoping to hold out until Friday which will be 10DPO. I usually have a pretty short LP, so 10DPO is good enough for me, if I make it that far! :)

Welcome to the party! I got a pos. OPK on June 6th too! I started getting cramping immediately after that and it has let up a bit, but I still feel pinches here and there. how long are your cycles?

Me and DH have been trying for number one for 15months now.

hi armywife 1984 i ovu on the same day as you ive got no symptoms at all today sometimes i dont know whether thats a good thing or a bad thing! lol when are you going to test. I am also an army wife ive been married into the army for nearly 8 years and i was born in 1984! hope every one is well today xxx

Hi Madis mammy! I actually already broke down and tested yesterday ! I knew it was wayyy too early but I have so many Sticks I couldnt resist. lol
BFN obviously. I have a doctor appt tomorrow to start the infertility process since I have been trying for 15 months now. I am really excited! How long have you guys been trying? Hooah! :)

we have been trying since our daughter was born 6 years in november, but this is the 2nd month of trying using clear blue digi ovu sticks, ive got no symptoms what so ever, im going to start testing from tomorrow i think lol

Madis Mommy - 6 years of trying...you are my inspiration to keep at it and not lose hope! We have been actively trying for 14 months...got pregnant and lost 3 in that time unfortunately. I'm seeing an RE but so far not doing anything medicated. We will see what this cycle shows and then consider our options from here. Wish my insurance covered any of it. All out of pocket and it is super expensive!

Almost to the weekend! Anyone else getting anxious?? Has everyone symptoms started to drop off?

I am on my fourth day of having brown/pink in my cm. it's super light.. Was never enough to even get to my panties or come out on its own really. I am exhausted but I have had a bunch of stuff going on. Bbs are looking fuller. Thats about it. Af is expected by saturday (thurs-sat is the window)

Are you testing on Friday? or are you gonna wait til af is late? Your brown cm sounds like a good sign.
My back is killing me all day today. The cramps have stopped after lunch and it seems my body is getting ready for af.

lol I have been in the 2ww so many times and never realized how many "symptoms" I have had. I think I am going to test this weekend if no af in the meantime. My cramps are gone for the most part... I get a twinge or pinch rarely now. Like I said the spotting, if you can call it that, is brown pink or sometimes red in my cm. right before I get af I get cramps super low, feelslike my cervix almost. None yet. Oh is loving the fuller bbs, not that I was lacking to begin.with but because since he mentioned it I keep asking if he is sure and to look. I guess 7dpo you progesterone shoild be above 10 but mine is only 8.2. I dont know whst to think about any of it anymore. Sick and tired of all the :bfn: in the meantime I will.be cranky :D

Hello Ladies! I had my first doctor appt today for infertility!!! :) It went really well! She had a wall of pictures of all the women she has helped. Made me feel so good.
Well this is how it went for people wanting to know about 1st time appts. ( I always wondered myself)
First thing she wants to check is my thyroid and prolactin. So I had my blood drawn.
Then she did a feel inside and said everything feels like it should.
So next step is my hubby getting a SA. Then she said even before that if I wanted she wants to do a dye test to make sure my tubes arent blocked! I was happy she suggested that cuz Ive read of women getting pregnant after having that done.
Then after that we can start looking at meds like clomid.
I am so happy that I am getting help now. I feel a weight lifted off of me.

As for symptoms today (9dpo) Nipples are a tad sensitive. Cramping somewhat gone. I have a feeling af will show up.. But i hope I am wrong.

Army wife, that is great that your fertility specialist appointment went very well. I agree, it is a comfort to know you are taking the right steps in the right direction in terms of infertility. Nobody wishes for it to happen to them or ever thinks it will, but all you can do is accept it and seek help - and know you are not alone! Hopefully this cycle things will work out, but if not you can get to the root of the issue and move forward from there.

For me...8DPO today and zero symptoms. Usually I feel I have every symptom in the book by now. So this is a bit strange. Plan to test Friday or Saturday morning. We will see how I'm feeling. I'm feeling sort of negative about it this cycle. I mean we did all we could have to time things properly, but I just am not feeling it for some reason.

i took a test this morning and it was a BFN :( i feel slightly down that i have no symptoms at all no cramping or anything the only thing different is my temps have stayed high since ovu on the 6th and 7th june i think im out this cycle the dr has promised me if i have another failed cycle he will give me and my DH tests and help us, i feel so low today i keep wishing for my BFP xxx

It's still early (I'm also 9 DPO today), so I wouldn't get too upset about a BFN just yet. Hang in there. How long is you LP usually? I'm planning on testing tomorrow, but not expecting anything good. I also have NO symptoms....no cramping, no anything.

If this cycle doesn't work out for you and DH, then good that your doctor will help you figure things out with further testing. Sometimes there is a really simple solution that makes a world of difference! Baby dust!!!
