30-somethings TTC #1 Testing and Support Thread!

Thanks LuckyD! I'll be rooting for ya babe . When do you test?

Thanks love! I test on the 20th - next Sunday.

Well the witch got me this morning and i am sad!! I guess i have learnt this month the lesson of being patient - i should have know when by CBFM arrived to wait until day one of my period and start it then but as i was still on my period (and had been for 3 weeks) i figured i would just start it anway! So back to square one again!! I am going to get vvv drunk on Saturday watching the world cup game!! lol!!

-x-x-

Oh no, so sorry Shorty :hugs::hugs: hope you are ok xx drinking and world cup sound like a good plan!

LuckyD, thanks for the tip about the red wine :) I am at a wedding and the footie during the 2ww so I will tell myself I'm aiding implantation if I have a couple of glasses :) Where are you up to with Glee? We have only one episode left in the UK :sad2: I LOVE it! (Except the bit where they do the pregnant dance and I'm a little jealous!!)

We are a bit behind....just watched the Madonna episode tonight. I love Jane Lynch - she is gold. Yeah, I am normally a white wine drinker - but hey, if a small amount is helpful then I am happy to switch! Don't know how true it really is...but if you google it there are a few that think it might help....who knows?

I'll keep my fx'd for your test date on the 20th :dust: :dust: :dust:

LOVE the advice that red wine aids implantation - where did you come across that LuckyD? Guess that means it is time to share my sangria recipe!! This is the bomb:

Sangria Mexicana

Makes about 5 ½ cups, serving 6
Recipe from Season 6 of Mexico--One Plate at a Time

INGREDIENTS

2/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
2/3 cup sugar
3 cups dry, fruity red wine, like Beaujolai, Zinfandel or many red table wines
1 cups sparkling water
4 to 6 wheels of lime, with a cut made on one side, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

The lime-sugar syrup: Mix together the lime juice, sugar and ¼ cup water, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
The sangria: Just before serving pour the wine into a pitcher and stir in the sparkling water and lime syrup. Serve over ice in tall glasses, each garnished with a wheel of lime wended onto the rim.

I add raspberries and wedges of clementines too :happydance:

Hi everyone, thought I would drop by as I have not been around for a while, all is explained in my journal. I have missed you guys! :hugs:
Anyway, I'm back now and will be testing this month in about a week, but I dont have an exact day yet as this will be my first ever test and I want to wait as long as possible just to make sure.

Oh yum! I love sangria - thanks Jaimie! I actually came across the red wine thing on BnB (of course!) but if you google it others say the same....probably just an old wives tale, but I am happy to believe it....

oooooh, i looooooooooooooooooooooooooove Sangria!

:wine:

Perfect opportunity for the wine smiley Squirrel!

Hello ladies :flower:

Sorry I haven't been about much recently, stupid work is making work hard!! On the plus point I asked for a pay raise and got a good one. So I'm happy! Every little bit helps with our baby making fund :haha:

Sorry to all those who got got by the witch!! :hugs: She's terrible, the way she keeps turning up!!

Well I have once month exactly until I start my meds for ICSI, I'll be out for July, but will be testing and hoping so much that it's worked early August.

Love to you all
:hugs:

Hoooooray for pay raises, Springflower! Good job!!!

Let's hope the witch gets tired or lost and leaves us alone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Rompy :hugs:
Squirrel and Lucky - are you excited to test this week?! Are you guys symptom-spotting at all?
Anyone get the post-O blues? Kind of like you get excited to hit your peak and then you do and then it's all over till next month? Or maybe I'm PMS'ing!

I've done pretty well with not obsessing TOO much. I did have a weird spotting incident on 5DPO which made me pretty sad for a few days. Now I'm just kinda chillin' again. I have zero symptoms at all, which in and of itself is really strange! :haha:

But I definitely understand the post-O blues, and post-AF too! It's a hurry up and wait kind of feeling. Right now I'm just kinda feeling like it's already decided for this month, so why bother worrying about it right now. I'll find out in a few days if AF shows her ugly face.

I figure we could use one of these right about now!!

:hi: Hi ladies, have been on for almost a week. Work has been mental, and I had my sex in the city weekend with my sister in Scotland. Had a great time but missed you girls!

I figure we could use one of these right about now!!
Yay! Just back in time for the group hug! x

Praying for everyone on this board and sending loads of baby dust. I got my BFP on a digi today and Im just totally over the moon. I was expecting it to say not pregnant as usual. Thanks for all your support.:hugs::hugs::hugs:
:happydance: :happydance: :happydance: congratulations!!! Very pleased for you MrsKC. And after 15 months. Just told my DH and its given us hope. Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy :hugs:

In an unrelated note... I am quite amused by how this is the third month in a row my boobies have gotten sore after O. Never ever before has this happened, which is what led to my crazy-psycho month where I was absolutely positive I was PG only to be super crushed... I'd really like to know why! I have been TTCing for a while so I think I would have noticed it in previous cycles! Stupid sore boobies! :dohh: Kinda hoping it means my progesterone levels are up.... off to google this. :haha:

 So how are the boobies today? Mine lie to me all the time. I think its a conspiracy... Last month when I really thought I was going to get my BFP they were doing all kinds of new things. Hmm.

Well the witch got me this morning and i am sad!!
:hugs: Sorry shorty

Lucky - also meant to say thanks for you post a while ago. Had a really bad time with the BFNs and AF arriving, just thought it was my time last month but it wasnt to be. Put it all in perspective now but you really helped.

CD9 today, wont start testing with OPK until CD14. Trying to not get too obsessed with TTC this month although still sticking with SMEP for one more month. Have conceive+ to try out and considering purchasing soft cups but better get a move on....

Hi all please can i be added i am not feeling hopeful this month but will be testing on 29th june if witch has not shown up by then
