8 weeks or less and here we come baby!:)

Welcome to our thread pinklightbulb! bumpycat-its nice to see you and that all is well for you. Stacey I promise I didn't forget you sweetie. I am just not feeling the best! AHHH I just love all my bnb buddies and ladies:)

Lol, ah dont worry about it hun. Sorry to hear ur still not feeling 100%. New advancement for me today...decided to use some of my annual leave to cut myself down to 3 days a week in april...woohoo. The thought of working 5 day weeks right up until 11th may was irritating me lol...so now i've only got this full week, a 3 day week next, then a 6 day week (thatll be a killer!!) followed by six 3 day weeks...makes it seem more manageable now haha xx

We go from eggplants to pumpkins!!! Ahhhh! Where has all the time gone...

Hehe i know, its fab!! Only 2 more days for me (i think) xx

How long does this sodding eggplant take to change!! It seems like its been 3 weeks already! Is it at 29 that it changes to a squash? x

p.s Are any of you buying a changing table. Ive seen one from John Lewis I like but going by the thread I started about changing nappies Im not sure if I should wait and see if I need it as sounds like some people have had one in the past and never used it. x

We are buying a chest of drawer unit that has a built in / removeable changing frame topper and then having lots of those travelling changing mats - one for the nappy bag, one downstairs, one in the bathroom, one for the car and one at my Mum's, so we don't have to keep going up and downstairs every time baby needs changing. Once they start moving around it's safer to do it on the floor anyway imo. The over the cot changers look good if space is an issue. I don't know how much use a changing unit is once they've got bigger so we prefer to spend money on something they can use once they've been potty trained.

I've got a basic plastic changing mat thing for upstairs at night, and will just use a towel on my lap/floor/bed otherwise.

I feel like CRAP today. Really bad night Sunday and spent a lot of the day crying and being horribly low. I slept heavily last night as a result and wish I were still in bed now. My left hip and lower back are starting to give up on me, and I'm utterly unmotivated at work. I do have things to do, but can't be arsed.

I'm so tired...I know we're nearing the end but it feels like I'll never sleep well again. We had a time change here in the US this weekend and I am not used to going to sleep earlier. I'm going to work an hour earlier too so I'm just completely worn out. I had a horrible nightmare last night too. :(

OMG!!!!!!! I am feeling the stupid time change as well :growlmad: and my poor body is worn out....it feels like I have been robbed and I'm finding it hard to make it through my day, I hope it catches up with you and your body gets adjusted to losing an hour .

Sunshine - yep, 29 weeks we change fruit...so i think its 4 weeks as an eggplant lol. Longggg time!! I'm not buying a changing station cos our wee bassinet thing for downstairs has a changing bit on it, and the drawers in the nursery have a bit for a changing mat on top. While she's in our room i'll just take her changing mat into our room xx

Hiya. Had my mw appointment today. All was good and I'm measuring 26cm today. I'm not concerned though as the mw seemed happy enough and I was more surprised that the last one put me ahead last time. She told me 25 but put 24 in my notes.

My blood results should be back by Monday at the latest, so I'll keep you posted.

How's everyone else? Xx

Mine told me I was measuring 27 but I reckon it was 25 or 26. Nothing to worry about if within 3cm anyway so thats good that yours was 26. Glad your app went well. I got a phonecall today to say my bloods came back and Im still anaemic so need to go back on the iron tablets. Glucose came back high too but they said its likely because I ate an hour before. Might need to get more bloods done later on. Ive put on 2 and a half stone already!

Bought my buggy today (Mothercare My choice 3) and bought a new washing machine as ours, despite being only 3 years old, is crap so I bit the bullet and bought a new one as I reckon Ill need a good one for doing all those washings that people keep telling me Ill have to do!!

x

So I had my glucose today, I apparently "failed" with a score of 135, have to go back in a week and be a human pincushion!

Why is it that some places 135 is considered failing and in other places it's considered passing??

Also the midwife office didn't bother telling me that I should eat 150-200 g of carbs 2-3 days before the appointment. I keep reading it everywhere. I'm seriously going to call them tomorrow and demand if there is any other information that they aren't bothering to tell me.

I would hate the glucose test lol...luckily im not getting one or so i havnt been told!
my 28 week app is not till monday @ 28weeks 4days so nearer 29weeks which will be at hospital hopefully the consultant wont be too busy to see me again this time as i didnt get to meet him like i was supposed to at 12weeks.

feeling really sore with the spd today x

I don't get a glucose test either. Apparently I would have been told after ther booking in bloods if I needed one. Sorry to hear that the SPD is causing you so many problems. Would a bit of light swimming ease the pressure for you? Yesterday was the first time I experienced any back pain. I really feel for all of you struggling on a daily basis.

Still have a stinky cold so wrking from home again. I did manage to get to the supermarket yesterday and made a few hospital bag purchases. Any idea just how many maternity pads we need to buy? They are so huge that my going home outfit will have to be a dress. There's no way I could still manage to do a pair of jeans up with one of them in my knickers!!

Woop woop on your buggy purchase too Sunshine! :)

I got a pack of a couple dozen - figure OH can buy me more if I need them, and I'm packing two pairs of pyjama bottoms for the hospital and coming home. Our relatives are not going to see us till after we're home, and honestly I don't give a crap if anyone sees me in pjs! :happydance:

Notnic, sorry your have the cold and hope it clears up soon.
Mrs.C hope your SPD clears soon. When are you getting your belly tubigrip?
The glucose test is fairly standard in US I think but not here (thankfully)
Notnic, there was a thread about maternity pads the other day and most ladies said to buy a minimum of 3 boxes as you go through them at a mega rate (something else for us to look forward to eh!!) I reckon Ill come home in baggy p.j bottoms or joggers. Im sure I wont give a toss what I look like and will just be going straight from hospital home (we have no neighbours so noone will see me apart from OH and he is used to me looking like shit these days! lol) x

Thanks hun:hugs: well not sure about swimming as opening your legs makes it much worse lol for example walking, climbling stairs, getting in/out bed.
plus i couldn't go swimming i get so self concience with the stretch marks and cellulight lol. but i have a bath to try ease it it helps whilst im in the bath but once im out the bath its sore again.

i find it scary doing hospital bag lol just cos its not long away lol but exiting, i'll prob start buying that stuff about 34weeks. (which is only 6weeks away :o) we are talking of moving house in the next couple of weeks which im dreading at 30-31weeks pregnant.

28 weeks for us tomorrow :happydance:
