Tips on hospital bags!! Hmmm well i will make sure i have lots of lipbalm as lips can get dry. Some slipper socks to keep my tootsies warm.A hand held fan to cool my face down. x

Hiii,

Hope everyones doing ok and those that are feeling a little under the weather start to feel better soon :)

I've had a really busy couple of days so not been on much but wanted to give a little update!

Finally seen the physio about my hip and I have bursitis (basically fluid on my hip due to muscles not working as usual because of everythign relaxing) :( nothing they can do unfortunately until babies born, she said it might just go away or I may need cortisone injections so hopefully it will just go! I have a spd belt but find it really uncomfortable and excercises to do!

On the plus side, our nursery furniture came last week so OH put that up at the weekend, but the wardrobe has scratches on it so they're bring a new one tomorrow so I will take some pictures of it all at the weekend!

Got my GTT on Monday which im soo not looking forward to but have a scan afterwards to that will be nice. Finally had a chat with work as I'd been given a sicknote to reduce my hours so only doing 4 days a week now :) They said they'd be happy with me going in later in the mornings too so hopefully that willl be easier!

Anyway, hope everyones doing ok and welcome to the new ladies joining the thread :) xxxx

Morning from Down Under all!
Ahh 3 hrs sleep, how am I supposed to get through the rest of the day. Still have to take Eamon out to my sister's b'day dinner tonight. Dreading it because I slept so little :(

GL to those with GTTs and growth scans coming up! I don't get my next appt till 30 weeks, they must do it on a different scale here.

Yeah its hard work with spd i didnt have it my other two some days its sore but not as bad some days its sore just moving. just hope dont have it after baby born.

I really wish i had another scan i worry cos my belly dont look like its grew in a few weeks and i havnt gained weight.

god that must be tough having gd hun i dont know how id cope being injected everyday. when is your 28week app? feels weird my 28week app was booked 4months ago and its almost here

My app is on monday so really looking forward to seeing baby again and hopefully know more about a date to be induced. Ah im sure your fine hun,you got a lovely bump and maybe you got enough room in there for baby to gain weight from now on.
Hope the spd goes away for you hun too,not nice especially with a newborn x

Hey sunshine 6.4 is normal hun,my consultant only gets concerned when mine go over 8 as this means baby has to produce more to cope with my sugar...Yes it is a pain having to do it at first and i was like a big baby  BUT everytime my hubby gave me the insulin id think about the baby suffering and now i am a big girl and do it myself xx

I have my 28 week app also on monday, not sure what will happen when i meet the consultant.

Yay 28 weeks now :D xx

wow OMG third trimester comes round fast :o) its an exciting time but hard to feel energetic with such a massive bump and tons more pressure now, it looks like I'll be waddling from now until bubs comes along

anyone else got their waddle on??? :D

Me! Just started it this week, as my left hip has loosened to the point of discomfort. Right hip is behaving well, so it's causing some one-sided back issues, but nothing more than uncomfortable so far thank goodness. The waddle is hilarious, though, especially since I can't do my coat up anymore and just do the top button so there's a swaying triangle of bump visible in the gap. :haha:

i have a waddle but i think its mostly to do with my spd lol makes me waddle lol.
i feel like my bump hasnt got bigger in past few weeks :s not sure if its just me.

I don't think I've got a waddle yet but I have been told that I stand like a pregnant lady now! Must try not to push my pelvis forward and my stomach out!! As I get bigger I'm in danger of looking like a Robin!

Omg...first post of today...i am now a squash!!! Woohooo xx

I'm feeling a bit crappy today, havn't been sick in 2 weeks and what happens this morning?...i throw up lol. felt really faint and lightheaded doing the school run and need pee constant. been told spd will not go away before i give birth but you know what cheered me up and make me smile?...i was lying down today and could feel my little man doing some real big moves lol i can feel him 2 places at once and at each side of my belly now at same time he's supposed to be 15 inches long now. he does some really big movements and i love it :D xx

Im waddling. I now walk like a constipated duck. Took a bump pic yesterday but cant find my lead to upload it so will do it later on tonight once I have a rummage.

Bought my buggy and monitor and cot being delivered Saturday so Im slowly but surely starting to get into shopping mode.

Heres a stupid question (I was in supermarket today thinking how dumb I am about babies....) what kind of creams and stuff do we need. Im using cotton wool and water to begin with (just topping and tailing) but once I start bathing the bubs do we need baby bath stuff or just use plain old water? What do we wash it with? Also, do we use baby shampoo and baby lotion bubbas body afterwards?? I dont like the idea of using loads of crap on my newborns skin so advice would be appreciated. (Im so stupid I actually asked a total stranger today if I need to buy baby mits even though its summer :dohh: - she very kindly explained they are scratchy mits) I thought I knew about babies as Ive looked after loads of them over the last 25 years at least but Im now thinking I know NOTHING!!! :dohh:

Hi everyone just thought i would check im :) I am feeling great however my dd has got a sickness bug so im hoping i dont get it. X

Stacey - I am beyond jealous about your squash!! :)

Sunshine - As far as I'm aware you're better off waiting until the baby is here and you work out what baby's skin is like before going OTT on the shopping. To begin with they advise just water, but you can include gentle baby wash. As I have eczema and OH's nephew's have also had skin complaints I'm planning on using something similar to Junior / Baby Oilatum to the bath with a natural baby sponge and / or soft flannel, rather than bubbles or soap as I think we stand a chance of Pip having prickly skin like me. This list was pretty helpful: https://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/dailycare/bathingyourbaby/

Sunshine-I always use a gentle baby wash and this of course is after baby has lost its belly cord. And I always lotion after a bath or use aquaphor. Its very good for babys skin but I don't like to bathe baby everyday ...in the first few weeks I bathe baby about 2 times a week. They don't need more unless they have pooped all over themselves really. I would just get the basics to start with and don't forget to get alcohol pads for the babys belly cord because you need to dry it up so it can fall of and baby can have a belly button:) They really just need a soft cloth and gentle wash, alcohol pads and baby lotion. I love the smell of babies !! LOL Anyway if there is any way I could help please let me know. Thats pretty much it that I use.

Stacey-I agree with NotNic I am so jealous about your squash and ready to be there. This means one more week and your on that 10 week finish! Wow I can't believe how fast this is moving now!!
