AF due to arrive on Christmas Day!

So, Chantel, you'll prob see on the clomid thread, I'm out...14dpo, start white BFN...I had so many promising symptoms this month, just little things, I really thought this could be it! I even thought I had implantation cramps on 7dpo and some implantation spotting on 8dpo! Guess not! I am TOTALLY over symptom spotting from now on...hahah I say that but probably not! lol

Well, nothing I can now do but gear up to try again in Feb! It IS our 5th anniversary on the 20th, I'll probably be testing right around then; gotta get AF on the way here soon so I can get started!

I am anxiously awaiting your results from this cycle, Chantel!! fx'd that you DON'T join me on another cycle!

I'm so sorry!!! I'm starting to feel very crampy so I'm just kind of waiting. Trying not to test until next weekend. I'll keep you updated and I will keep you in my prayers. TTC is so unbelievably draining! I can't keep my emotions under control. I sat in church crying this morning. It was youth Sunday and I just cried and cried. They did a great job but I usually would not cry! I mean I even cried yesterday during the movie Grown Ups. I've seen that movie at least 20 times on starz and have never shed a tear. What is up with that?

I hope it's crazy pregnancy hormones!!!! Fx'd for you!

I started a journal, I'd love if you checked it out!

Thanks guys. AF arrived today and I'm feeling ok. I think I got my crying out of the way thursday/friday. DH and I see the dr on Wednesday and I'm so nervous about it - for anyone thats been through it, what should I make sure and tell them? What will happen?

Fingers crossed for you this month Chantel.

SaySib, I'm sorry AF got you!

Thanks ladies! I'm trying to just ride out the wait, although I did go get some tests today so I may end up caving before Friday!

I have not actually been to a fertility doctor but definitely tell the doctor how long your cycles are, if you opk or bbt. If you bbt you may want to take your chart. I would tell them your concerns. I think I have googled it before, something like what to ask your ob/gyn when trying to conceive. I think I found a checklist. I would also take any medication and vitamins that you both are taking with you to the appointment. Hope this helps!!!

Sorry about AF Sysib...I agree with Chantel on what to take, def print out your charts! I haven't been to an actual fertility dr, just been working with my regular dr.

SaySib, just wanted you to know that I'm praying for you and your husband today as you go to the doctors.

Thanks Chantel, I really appreciate it! I'm going to need any prayers I can get!

DH's appointment seems to have gone well, he has brought home a couple cups, some info and directions for where to go to deposit his sample  the clinic times are a bit crappy though so not sure when he'll get in to do it. They said the results would be through within 2 weeks and he has to make an appointment as they wont give results like that out over the phone. So we are moving forward with that at least.

My Drs experience was so disheartening. I took a notebook with all the info about my symptoms every month, my wonky cycles, the mcs and such and he wasnt interested in any of it. He basically told me that irregular cycles are normal, charting and temping dont work (unless you have a textbook 28 day cycle and even then its doubtful), that every woman regardless of her cycle length ovulates between CD10 and CD16 and that hes 90% sure it'll be a problem with my husband. How on earth am I supposed to have faith in this Dr when he says things like this? I mean, I get that he's not an OB so its not his area of speciality, but surely he should know more than this!! I feel so disheartened.

I'm booked in for CD20 bloodwork and then I need to go next month for bloodwork during AF. Not sure what happens then.

Any advice on what else, non medically to try would be greatly appreciated.

Oh I am so sorry! What a jerk your doctor sounds like! Is there any way you could get in to see an OB or even a GYN?

I have switched doctors a lot over the past five years because they didn't take me seriously. I really hate how they have a god complex to them and think the sun rises and sets in them! I finally found a good one a year and a half ago. I've only been trying since last September but my whole thought process was, I need to find someone to go to who I feel comfortable with. Luckily I did.

I really don't think this doctor has it right that everyone ovulates between CD 10 and 16. I've seen women on here who haven't gotten their LH surge using OPKs until like CD 30 because their cycles are so long.

My doctor told me that since I wasn't having a period every month that I wasn't ovulating.(I went from July 1st to Sept. 7th without a period and it ended up being medically induced) He wanted to start me on Clomid in September and I had to say no because hubby thought we should try on our own first. Now I wish we had taken the Clomid earlier. I guess if you were able to see an actual OB they might take you more seriously. I just kept telling my doctor how ready we are for a baby. FYI our original plan was to start trying in August and ended up waiting. So technically my doctor was ready to start Clomid for our first cycle EVER!!! I guess every doctor is different. The Clomid is supposed to give women an 80% chance of ovulating. The first two rounds, I had very low progesterone levels, meaning that I ovulated but the number wasn't high enough to be considered a good ovulation and this month I had a great progesterone level. I'm assuming this is why they are going to be doing your blood work.

Anyway, that was a long rant about me. I don't know how to reduce the length of cycle days (wish I could figure that one out for myself!) but I've heard using the Preseed lubericant helps with the little swimmers. I've heard of a lot of different vitamins that are supposed to help and of Red Raspberry Tea Leaf that you are supposed to drink before ovulation. I really wish I could be of more help.

Chantel, have you tested yet?? You were going to try to wait till this weekend, right?

saysib, WOW on the Dr. - that is so frustrating! I did not go see my GYN for Clomid or any of my issues, I actually went to a GP that I know who is known for prescribing meds and getting you in to see specialists right away. He's the one who ordered DH's SA so quickly - ordered for him in Dec when we had only tried 4 cycles. You need to find a Dr. who will take you more seriously, for sure, if you can!

But I am happy he's getting your DH to do a SA!!! I don't know if you've seen what happened to me and my DH this week, but his SA came back NO sperm. I don't want to worry you or anything, but I am so glad we've finally figured out why we haven't been able to conceive!

I tested this morning and it was a BFN  Based on my last cycle I still tested about 4 days early, so I'm hoping that I still have a chance! I'm excited for the weekend to get here. We are going to go to a Monster Truck show and then I get to eat at Olive Garden :happydance:

Awh, man! Sorry about the BFN, I hope it turns into a BFP for you! I've started eating better this week, so the Olive Garden sounds delish!

Sorry your both out :hugs: Thanks for the kind thoughts, they were much appreciated. DH did his SA today and they said results should be with his Dr in a week - he'll be in France from Tuesday so we wont know the outcome until at least Feb 20th. Never mind, at least its done though, right!

So sorry to hear about your husband rdleela, I'm heading to your journal now to read!

Chantel, Olive Garden sounds sooooo good to me! Love their salad, so much!

awh, Chantel, so sorry about AF...but I read what you wrote on the clomid thread and I'm hopeful for you for February!!

Saysib, hope you like reading my journal! :)
