Anyone else starting to think about Christmas?

I was annoyed because I'd finished DD2's birthday shopping and everything came in afterwards lol.

:hugs: Trying to get on a little more but free-time says otherwise!

I don't know why to be honest. I'm weird :haha: Money could be spent elsewhere before thinking about Christmas. I didn't start shopping until September or October last year which I found too late but somehow managed. Still ended up with too much stuff.

That is annoying when you've just finished then see things they'd like.

I've preordered the girls Christmas outfits and a Home Alone shirt for DS. I know I'm crazy for buying Christmas clothing in July!

DD1 is between that stage of wanting toys but wanting more grown up things too ! She hates make up but is really into reading etc. So I’ve got a few ideas for book sets.

Can never have enough books. I'm thinking of putting together a little book gift set with a book, some hot chocolate, some sweets, maybe a new cup.

This sounds right up my DD1s street ! Fab idea ! X

I saw that you could buy subscriptions/gifts like it through an ad on Facebook but it seemed a little over priced. I can't remember exactly how much it was but when I worked it out I figured I could put one together myself cheaper. I might put a cuddly toy themed to the book choice for the younger ones too.

Picked up a couple more bits today in The Works. A book for ds1, reduced to £3, and a little wooden race track with cars for ds5. With ds1 wanting a gaming PC he won't get much else, but I don't want that to be all he has so I'm trying to gather up little bits and pieces in sales through the year so it looks like he has more without spending too much money. So far he's got 2 books.

I ordered some stuff for my friend and mum from Pandora sale. A heart charm and squirrel one ( to nanny from ds) they were £37

I ordered clothes for OH twin niece and Nephew :) from next and my carer children. Also ordered some boot slippers for my best friend.

From assoserios I ordered stuff for ds friends

From debenhams I ordered a jacket for my other best friend's daughter and cute Dino dungeness.

Bought OH a shirt-its hiding at mums

All of this was in the sale :) it's the only way I can afford stuff. Ds will change his mind did buy him a toy comodo dragon from amazon. But my parents are so worried about covid they bought it off me incase they can't go out to get him. They love him so much xxxx

The Pandora stuff sounds lovely @topsy. You sound organised, well done :)

I haven't even thought about shopping yet :laugh2:

Thank for the great idea she still loves cuddly toys too ! Xx

Christmas in July is going on right now so I've been watching cheesy Christmas movies and loving it!

Oh I'd love a Christmas movie right now, what a great idea.

I swear every year I'm going to do a more restrained/low key Xmas but it never happens! Determined this year though as we have a big house move coming up in 6 weeks so no doubt we'll be doing home improvements and buying new furniture for a while after we move in. I want to book Lapland UK as part of their present as I think this is the last year of believing I'm going to get out of my 9.5 year old (she was asking questions last year but I think she still really wants to believe if that makes sense...) Really hoping covid will be more of a background thing by then too!
