Yeah we are looking at the same picture!! I think I've grown massively in the past couple of weeks... Just look at this picture (30 weeks) and then at the one I sent earlier, which is 33 weeks... (or look at the bump pic thread, I posted my 31 and 33week picture on there) I reckon there's quite a difference!! Was quite shocked to see that picture earlier... especially since I'm wearing black and black slims you down haha
Anyway, you should make a bump pic and post it, cause I wonder what you look like....or your bump at least If you think mine is cute Wonder how big you are haha

Glad you're not too worried!! I would be I think, but at the same time I'd be happy to know that she would probably be fine if she'd come early.

Oh I realised the other day that even if I go 2 weeks overdue I'm in the single digits now (week-wise) so anytime between 4 and 9 weeks now for me
And less than 50 days!! yay!!

I was putting all our presents in a box tonight (so it's easier to take tomorrow) and I reckon Jay got me the new sophie kinsella book - mini shopaholic Cause I asked for it and I noticed one present in the shape of a book - felt like a book aswell Unless he got me the cheryl cole book (cause I said I wouldn't mind having that once... ) but I reckon he'll be too stubborn to get that, as he can't stand her!! haha I'm gonna be sooo spoiled this christmas!! He's spent way too much money on me...

Any ideas what you're getting???

I hope you got all your presents in a box. Mine are all wrapped and at his mum's- she is a road or two down. I dont know what else I got but I got 4 Yoga Bolsters early- they are really good for you posture and make sitting down comfy- they will also be really good when I BF once she is here! I asked for them early. Dont know what else as it is all at his Mum's. He is a lazy ole sod and makes his sister wrap it all for him!

Sounds like you have your pressies sussed! LMAO I hope you get them all! Why not spoil you- you are busy working at making a lovely babba!

Can you believe i still have some to wrap- Found some nice Bra's and knicker sets in M & S for my sis. My nephew has a Dinosaur t-shirt, DH has another book, iPhone Headphones, and his year subscription to BBC Focus Magazine and a gardening book for my nice SIL! I keep picking up little things here and there! LOL. I should really stop. I need to go to Woolwich again today as I realised we have no Christmas Crackers at all- crap table if we dont have those in huh?

I am not feeling Christmassy at all this year- I think the lack of parties and drinking and of course NO CHRISTMAS tree is making me feel like it isn't here yet! Plus my darling niece and nephew are in Australia and not back until next week so we have to celebrate a mini one then!!!

I've attached the bumpage pics I've taken onto this message- not sure they will be big enough- I organised them the other day into one file to see if you can see the progression!

Heya!!

How was your xmas?? We got home around 2 today... and now I'm actually quite knackered... have only been sitting down for about half an hour since we got home... Had lots of tidying and cleaning to do. And had to get some bits from the shop.

Got lots of good presents!! I did get the 2 books I was talking about, and also a nintendo DS Told ya!! haha
Jay loved all his presents I got him.... And we got a videocamera from his parents, so we can video all sorts when Lucas is here (I'm starting to get used to calling him Lucas now, since everyone kept calling him that when we were over at Jay's parents' house)
Made me cry for a bit though when we got the camera, cause I really didn't expect it and it was so sweet

Did you have a good xmas?? And got any good presents??

We got people coming over tonight, they're staying with us for a couple of days (it's a colleague of my mum's and her husband and daughter, but I don't know them) so that's gonna be a bit weird But at least they'll just be doing their own thing and we don't have to entertain them

Are you entertaining your guests or will they go off and wander themselves?
Like you I am kanckered- My mum and sister were over Christmas day. We went to Bluewater yesterday and today we went to Morrisons, Wilkinsons etc. Not too much today but still shattered!
I got Yoga books, a full back massager, necklace and earrings, perfume and some home slippers!! It was a nice day- albeit strange as I wasnt drinking.
Heading to my mums tomorrow to see my niece and nephew- they will be opening their presents tomorrow so that should be fun!

my next appointment I shifted to Friday as I am at my mums on Wednesday. I am seeing them at 1.30. Babba seems to be fine- I am drinking tons and feel rather huge! All the time in the toilet too! Lol.

Well I hope you manage to get tons of rest and recooperate. I can not believe it will be just 6 weeks! He could be here in a fortnight as you will be full term then!! eeeekkkk!!

Hehe yeah I got spoiled this year Got more presents.. but I couldn't be bothered to write the whole list

The guests arrived earlier... around 7ish.. I was just about to get in the shower... And Jay was gonna order our chinese, but we left it till later.... was about 10 by the time the chinese turned up Ah well, I didn't eat everything, wasn't very hungry and didn't wanna be uncomfortably full a little while before going to bed
Though we're not going to sleep yet, cause we wanna watch eastenders at 11.30 cause we missed it tonight.

Glad you had a good xmas It is weird isn't it, not drinking.... I was saying to Jay: last year was probably the last time I'd have been drinking at xmas, cause we'll have Lucas from now on, so at least 1 of us should be sober.... And obviously this year I wasn't allowed to drink.
Jay got sulky last night, cause he'd been drinking port and had some beers aswell and I told him not to drink anymore... then when I was in the toilet, he got up to get some more beer, but his parents said no (cause I told him not to drink anymore) and he got all sulky I hate it when he does that, when he's a bit tipsy... cause I am tempted to give in to him.... and give him what he wants anyway...

Ah well.. I'm gonna watch 1 born at christmas now (recorded) and then eastenders and gonna go to sleep after that!

Glad your little girl is staying put and she seems to be doing ok!!

I reckon Lucas has tucked his head further into my pelvis, it seems like he's not against my ribs as much as before... But we'll see next week I guess...

Sorry Jay was being Sulky! I hate being sober and around tipsy peeps. I have no patience! Like you I have thought that I will be the one sober from now on. TBH makes a change as DH drives most of the time if we are not on the train- which means I am drinking. He wont let me drive- as he doesnt trust me behind the wheel. I have my licenence but not driven much since I got it when I was 19!! over 10 years ago! LOL
So seeing as I cant drive he will so neither of us will be drinking next year if we are going out with the little one

Been having some cramps lower down that remind me of period cramps- did you get that around this time?

What are your plans today- I am leaving in a bit to go to my Mum's. DH pissed me off as the last minute- ie this morning says he isnt coming as he has blocked noes WTF? and doesnt want to give my niece and nephew germs. They have just flow from Asia in a plane packed with lurgies- and from a hot country to cold- they are all going to get ill!

Anyway- I didnt say anything- but he is expecting me to come back form Mum's as he has his godson and family over for NY Eve and I'm doing all the cooking- well the way I see it- is if he has a cold and doesnt want to pass onto my niece and nephew- he should not be passing it on to 1) me being pregnant and 2) his godsons! So he can think again if he thinks I am heading back home to cook all day for him and his friends! I have been thinking and planning what to make for them and their kids, got their Christmas presents in, wrapped them, toys/games for the kids to play whilst they are at ours- thought about booze for the NY and made suggestions about breakfast etc as they are staying over so not just one meal we have to consider. He just wont think about anything!!!!GRHHH

The other main thing of heading to mum's was to go through my niece and nephews old things so we could pick what stuff we want for our babba. There is no way I can bring back clothes, walker, highchair, mosesbasket, pram, toys, bottles, sterilisers, car seats........on the train!! He just doesnt think!!!

Unfortunately I do have a scan at 1.30 on Friday but I can go there on my way home- or cancel as I have another one next Wednesday anyway! Am I being unreasonable? He always does this when it comes to driving to my mum's. If it was an occasion with his mates he would be out of here like a bat out of hell. He doesnt have any close family and as you know the ones he does are ******s so it isnt the same.

Well anyways- instead of screwing at him- I am going to leave and he can stay here- sort food out if his Godson & Family come! I am off to see my lil munchkins and get pampered at home!
Sorry for the rant- I seem to go off on one all the time but he really does make me mad! Sorry again

I didn't get any period cramps... Are they not braxton hicks?? If not you might wanna keep an eye on them, as they say contractions are like period pains....
But well I've never had it so I don't know....
I was watching that one born at christmas yesterday though and I was saying to Jay: I don't wanna do it anymore!!! can we not just turn it back??
All he said was: see that's why you shouldn't watch these programs, cause you only get freaked out!
hahaha.... I'm hoping I won't be screaming as much as most of those women... but he reckons I will.....
I just hope the little boy is small and comes out easy

happy New Year! Hope you had a great evening. Did you see the fireworks? I was forcing myself to stay up but wanted to go to bed

How are you? Hope you are enjoying the holidays? I read a thread you posted about pains and aches. Are you still getting them? I have started having cramps like what I used to get when I was on my period. They come and go but quite weird. Also more pain in my lower back. I mentioned this yesterday and they didnt say anything about them. I have a MW appointment on Tuesday morning so I will mention it all again then.

I had my scan yesterday and the fluid levels are still low- around the same as last week. They are going to refer me to a consultant Dr Burch who I have seen for BP before. Dont really know what she is going to recommend other than MORE monitoring. I have a growth scan on Wed to see if babba's abdominal circumference is bigger. I hope she is stil growing even though fluid is low. Otherwise I think they will want her out earlier I want her to stay put for at least 4 more weeks!
I am drinking so much water atm- I spend every hour going to the toilet! LMAO!

Been catching up on One Born every Christmas! Just got two episodes out of the way. the show was much better when they had the first series in Jan/Feb!
I am sure you will be fine hun- can they start 'predicting' the weight from scans for you? I thought they could but not sure they do that for everyone. Oh they also told me at yesterday's scan that she has moved and is in breech atm. I know I got something like 10 weeks for her to turn! But was surprised to learn she had done a full 180 in a week! Well she is active sometimes! LOL]

Well enough chatting, DH is making french bread Pizza and I am banished out of the kitchen. I love how a 10 minute meal takes about 40-mins for him- But I am so pleased he is making something. Did I mention I got him James Martins cook book as part of his Christmas present and he even looked through it today! Shock!!

Happy new year to you too!!

I had a really boring night last night... Jay was on guard, so he wasn't home, so I was all on my own being very bored. Had a nice (probably too hot according to pregnancy regulations ) bath for an hour, while reading my book (the one Jay got me, mini-shopaholic).
Then when I finally tried to go to sleep around half 1 I couldn't get to sleep, cause I've been having a tickly throat, which is really annoying!!! :doh: It took me till about 4 to finally fall asleep...Woke up once to go to the toilet, then Jay got home at 9-ish so I woke up again.. went to the toilet again and got back into bed. We both went to sleep and I didn't wake up till 11.30 and I woke Jay up around 12 so he wouldn't sleep all day and not get any sleep tonight.
So I am knackered today!!

So you had another scan did you?? I've also got my MW appointment on tuesday, but not till 2 pm. Hope your little girl is doing alright and she'll stay put... I have to say I won't be very happy if you'd have her before I have our boy Cause I'm getting a bit impatient/fed up now to be honest... Just can't wait anymore!! eventhough I know it's only 5 weeks.....

Ok, so I wasn't done writing yet but somehow I managed to post it Not sure what happened... Was just about to start typing again and then the page went... Thought I'd have to write the whole thing again (which always pisses me off if I accidentally get rid of everything).

I hope you and hubby are coping alright with the stress of worrying about your girl. I'm sure she'll be ok in the end though!! Even if she'd be born now. But I can understand that you'd like her to stay in for a couple more weeks!

I've started packing my hospital bag, but I need to start washing some baby clothes now so I can pack them aswell.
And we also need to get some more bits before he arrives, like towels and nursing bras and before labour starts I need to get some disposable pants and some more pj bottoms I think and some other stuff...

I did post a thread about pains/cramps. I've been having more of those cramps/pressure and some backpain. Not sure what it is, people suggested it might be BH but I haven't felt my bump tighten or anything, not even when I have my hand on it. I reckon it might just be that he's starting to engage or something but I might ask about it at my MW appointment on tuesday.

One Born Every Minute should be starting soon again.... So I'm definitely gonna be watching that, even though it's gonna put me off/scare me a bit probably But at the same time I always think: not everyone is like that, maybe I'm lucky (like I have been with my pregnancy) and have an easy labour or higher pain threshold or something like that. And there's been soooo many women that have had kids in the world, if they can do it why wouldn't I be able to?! Right?!

I really can't wait anymore though, I've noticed now that I'm having those cramps/pressure/backpain every now and then I keep thinking - is this maybe the start??? Though I know it probably won't happen till 37 weeks, or later....
Jay still reckons he's gonna be early though - end of January. But I change my mind all the time, probably cause I'm hoping he'll be here around 37 weeks (or anytime soon!!) but sort of know that most first babies are late and it'll probably happen to me aswell

Ok so I'm gonna watch some tv and then probably go to sleep!!

haha yeah tiredness is normal during the whole pregnancy I'd say
I slept like a log from 12.30 last night till 11 this morning and I'm still tired hahaha....
So I'm getting plenty of sleep haha

Just put my first load of baby clothes in the washingmachine and sorted the other ones out in 2 piles, colour and white... And I gotta wash the blankets aswell.... But I think it's just gonna be the one load today, as that's about 30 bodysuits so I hope I can find the space to put them up to dry haha

So when that's all done I can start packing the rest of the hospital bag... and I've still gotta wait till Jay's on leave again, so we can start shopping for an outfit for Lucas when he's coming home from hospital, cause we wanna buy that ourselves, even though we've got lots of clothes already...but it's special
Yay!! Can't wait till the hospital bag is all sorted so I am all ready for him to come! I had this dream last night and I'd had the baby (dunno how and when but they told me I had my baby) and then Jay and I quickly popped to a shop to get him some clothes hahaha... cause I did have nappies but no clothes Don't want that to happen now do we?!

When are you packing your bag??? Have you made a list??
I am using a list that's in my book and looked up some lists on the internet and just made my own - I picked the things I reckon I will and won't need from those lists.

Glad you are getting lots of rest in. I have been advised to do that as much as possible as we will need our strength from Birth and onwards!
Slept ok- I had a student need help this morning so I had an early start. I think nap time!

I have a list my nice SIL gave me which I have tweaked with a few things I want to add- Also I will have a look online and see what other women on this forum have suggested and maybe add some more!

Wohoo to getting the washing done! My nice SIL is pulling down all baby stuff today so next weekend we are heading over to go through and bring things over. We have big things such as car seats, walkers, feeding chairs etc so I think a big trip into the loft for DH too. We have 0-6 and 6-12month clothes pretty much sorted. She will also be giving us some bottles, sterilisers, moses basket etc!!

Like you guys I have baby wipes and nappies!! Thats all!


Love your dream- I wonder if that is like a premonition of things to come soon!!!

We got clothes, babybath, cot, changing unit, moses basket, pram, car seat... nappy bin, steriliser and bottles... I can't think of anything we still need
Apart from some bits for me, like nursingbras.
I'm even getting the sudocrem in tonight with the shopping haha...

All set then hun! Have you picked up cotton wool, buds, baby oil, etc. I think though you just clean the baby with water and cotton wool at first. Also gripewater, infacol and nipple cream for you- just some things on my list

How are you doing?? How was your mw appointment today?? (you had yours today aswell right??)
Mine was fine... BP was a bit higher than normal (it was 110/80 before but now it was 120/90) but she said that might be cause I walked up the hill and walked quite fast.
He is still headdown (good!! cause I let Jay feel his head the other day, but we couldn't find it when I was laying down, so we thought maybe he'd turned around, but he he's still head down ) Not engaged yet though... was hoping he would've but no luck!
We'll see when all that's gonna happen then!!

And did you have your next growth scan yet??

I've got a really bad cold!! Hardly slept last night, cause I kept dribbling and my nose kept running and I was really hot (with Jay being like a little heater). Hope it'll get better soon!
I'm on my own again tonight, as Jay's on guard again... Luckily he only has to do friday and then he's got 2 weeks off.
We're also going to our first antenatal class next week on wednesday night.
Looking forward to it! As it will make everything seem more real and getting closer, and it gives us something to do once a week until Lucas gets here.
