anyone got pregnant after ovarian drilling?

OMG!! congratulations firefox :happydance:

i hope the spotting goes away maybe you had late implantation & the blood could be from that, i had loads of cramping too before i found out and for maybe 1 week after, :hugs:

im so happy for you!! :D

Thanks baby dust!! Still cant believe it! Did your cramps completely go after a week then? Soo hope mine & spotting goes soon! Do you think Im a bit of a psycho for trying to get a docs appointment tomorrow? I've got it in my head that low progesterone is going to effect things? All cos of the spotting, cramps and my previous low prog blood tests! xx

Congratulations Firefox!! :D :D

I bet you are over the moon! Definately ask your GP to run some bloods for progesterone, it's best to get it checked.

Good luck xx

i still get some cramps now at 7 weeks, they seem normal when i asked doctors just everything stretching & making room for baby, but i had cramp everyday for a week before bfp and a week after, then it was just like maybe twice a week i got it i wouldnt worry unless you have really bad bleeding with it hun, no dont be silly its normal to want to go to doctors and check everythings ok with progesterone, i had low progesterone too before falling pregnant, so far i've been ok ofc i was worried about it too & i aint had no checks to see if progesterone is ok :hugs:

Firefox - congrats once again :happydance:

I have my FS appointment on Thursday - it's come round so quickly. I hope he won't send me away saying I should wait a bit more and we can book the op for as soon as we are back from Spain

Im CD11 today and decided not to do opks this month. Ive been doing them for over a year now and they only stress me out...As long as I know I will have my OD in about 6 weeks Ill be happy and will have something to look forward to.

GL maria, dont let them put it off, it wont be long now :flower:

Hi,

I am so glad i found this site. I have been reading all the posts and it has gave me soooo much hope :)

I had ovarian drilling, lap & dye on 23rd December and caught an infection in my stomach from the dye so due to being in alot of pain i havent been able to start trying yet :-(

I was on Clomid before the OD and my doc hasnt told me to start taking it again, but i got pregnant when i last had clomid and now have a beautiful little boy, so do you think it would boost my chances to keep taking what i have?

My PCOS has got worse since the birth of my little boy and im still waiting for my period so any advice or encouragement would be a massive help :) as the docs have said my next option would be IVF which we cant afford.

Baby dust to you all and thanks for listening to me ramble on lol :) xxx

hi hun and welcome :flower:

i had OD done in july and my dr wouldnt prescribe me any more clomid but everyone else has had it and that seems the norm really, iv managed to get one more month out of them which i will be starting tommorow.

my dr kept saying though that no one should take more than 6 months worth as it increases chances of ovarian cancer.

if you have some and your within that i would say just go for it as it cant hurt and may well boost your ov.

I think im going to give it a go. How come your doc wont prescribe you anymore?

I was diagnosed with endo in 2006 and my fertility has gone downhill from there. I was trying like a year and half before my doc gave me clomid and it worked first time and i now have my little boy.

My doc then gave it me again last year but it hasnt worked at all so thats why i went for the OD. Its so frustrating at times but i hope it will be worth it lol

It doesnt help that loads of celebs are getting pregnant as well as my two best friends (although i am over the moon for them) it makes me feel 10 times more broody lol xxx

Hi Hun & Welcome.

if youve got some clomid left i'd give it a shot because Clomid has more chances of working after you've had OD

i had OD in august 2010 i wasnt allowed clomid unless i had this operation because my Fertility Specialist basically said there was no point in having it if i wasnt having the operation as its more succesful after youve had OD i had that & managed to fall pregnant on my 3rd round of Clomid im now 7 weeks pregnant. i was trying 4 years before they even gave me clomid or basically any help, all i had was tests and tests, then they give me OD & Clomid Luckily it worked

i wish you the best of luck :)

CONGRATULATIONS!! :)

I bet you are soooo excited :) My 2 best friends are expecting and i was the first one out of our group to have a baby so i have been like the Mother Hen lol but its making me really really broody lol.

I am going to try the clomid and see how i go on what i have left.

I see your from Nottingham .... me too :) although I live more towards Derby now :)

Thanks for making me feel so welcome xxx

Just an update from me ladies.

Hope everyone else is OK!! :flower:

oh wow maria im happy for you :yipee: thats 1 thing out of the way i hope soon youll have your bfp :) ooo enjoy spain

have a lovely relaxing time in spain, atleast you can forget about ttc while your there which will be nice, really pleased you are having it done so soon thats great news :happydance:

count down to your BFP now :winkwink: GL xx

Thanks ladeis, except I could feel more devastated now

Basically Im not sure DH wants a baby at all. It's yet another month when he's suddenly "not in the mood" to BD when Im ovulating. Ive been in a lot of pain last night and this morning yet he just couldn't do it....Worst thing is - he doesn't see what the problem is. He doesn't get that tonight will be too late as the egg lives less than 12 hours and it takes sperm up to 7 hours to get to the tubes....

Ive torchered my body with hormones, injections, blood tests, operations for the last 18 months. And all for nothing. We tried it before and his sperm doesn't seem to live for 48 hours so our BD on Sat morning won't count for anything.
Im not even sure whether I want to go ahead with the OD....what will it change?! I may start ovulating on my own but if he refuses to have sex, then it's all for nothing....

Basically Im so hurt right now I wouldn't mind taking a break in our marriage. I think it would have been easier if he cheated or something....

Sorry for all the negativity ladies, but this is how I feel right now....

oh hun i really dont know what to say to make you feel any better, i completely understand how angry you must be feeling as i would be the same, its so important to dtd at the right time, all of this waiting around definatly takes its toll on you.

did he give you a reason or was it just a "performance" issue, if so, maybe he is feeling the pressure of it. i suppose men deal with this ttc stuff in a very different way, my DH thinks im way too obsessed and should just let nature take its course sometimes, if only we could!! :dohh:

i hope he comes round quickly and your still in with a chance, x

Hi everyone, welcome lola...i'd def try the clomid. Im convinced I could not have got a bfp without the clomid/OD combo! GLxx

Maria, Im soo sorry you are having a bad time of it. Its fantastic news that you've got your od appointment soo quickly wow! It def pays to go private! I hope you can sort things out with your dh, I do think sometime guys just dont get what we put ourselves through month after month and how it takes its toll. I had exactly the same problem but we managed to sort it out and we agreed that I'd let him know exactly the week that we had to dtd at least every other day & the days that we def had to do it. That way he was 'prepared' for it!! We did it like machines it but it had got to the point that sex was just ruined & still is we havent dtd since my last ov week!! I hope you can make it up xx

Once u asked about of how long was it til u actually had the op
I'm def gunna ask fs on the 28th about it and hope i get it bfore the summer xx

mine got booked in july & i had mine in august so mine was pretty quick really,

Mine's private so as soon as he had private clinic- which is ever frist saturda of the month.

On the NHS - never! we've been told No referrals indefinitely :growlmad:
