anyone got pregnant after ovarian drilling?

maria- i know when u first listen mama from sophia's mouth u feel the best experience in ur life. Really children bring lots of happiness in our life. I asked doc that when should i do next scan. She told us if everything is fine then before birth i have to do one more scan later in pregnancy to know baby position.
amiya - my re told me that 18mm folli, 8mm endo should be there on cd 15 to inject hcg and iui. He told me that cycle would not successful. So save ur money for next cycle. We cant afford iui money next cycle.

Kyla - my hair started falling out BAD around 3 months too. It has always fallen out pretty bad thanks to PCOS, but during pregnancy it stayed put. But yes, I think I could have made at least 3 or 4 wigs by now with all the hair in my drain, trash can, brush, vacuum roller - it's crazy!! I'm completely surprised I don't have bald spots (as I did after my first pregnancy :dohh:) But, the good news is that it's slowing considerably! It's still coming out pretty bad, but definitely not in clumps like it was. I like my hair long too and I had it cut to my shoulders a couple months ago just because short hair isn't so heavy and doesn't seem to fall out as much. Or so I was told. I really miss my long hair though. Anyway, I feel your pain! Hopefully it stops soon!

Sunny - congrats on the boy & girl!! How lucky you are!!! :cloud9:

Cridge - :hugs: Thanks. Hair loss is so distressing. My hair line on my forehead is receding. My Dad was bald, so I'm so worried I am at risk of male pattern baldness with the PCOS thing. Argh! I hate PCOS so much. Glad your hair loss is slowing down :flower:

Amiya - Good luck with your scan.

Anupur - How are you feeling?

AFM - The hair loss continues, but I'm not onto the New Mum multivitamin for hair loss. I hate seeing my hair disappearing down the the plughole as I shower. But Jude is so worth it. He's had a couple of good night time sleeps, one 9 hour block and the other a 10 hour block. :happydance: I don't expect it to last though as he's drooling and his cheeks are turning red so it's teething time soon I'm sure. :hugs: to all.

Hi everyone, just popping in to see how everyone is x

Kyla, aw hugs re the hair loss, I'm sure it will settle itself down, its typical with our hormones isn't it! Lovely to hear little Jude is sleeping better, hopefully the teething wont be too bad :hugs:

Cridge, again sorry about the hair loss but fab that its slowing down hun

Anupur, how are you doing hun? How far along are you now? Are your legs feeling any better and are you managing to sleep well? I'm sure your blood sugar levels will settle :hugs:

Amiya, good luck hun with the cycle and the scan hun, have everything crossed for you xx

Maria, aw Sophia sounds like a darling hun x

Sunny, aw hun a boy and a girl, that's really lovely, how are you feeling?

Nikkia, were at the 32 week mark this week, hows things with you, are you managing to sleep well? Have you gotten loads of baby stuff all organised yet?

Everyone else ok?

Me, well will be 32 weeks tomorrow. Our ante-natal classes start on Thursday so that should be interesting, OH is thrilled lol. Midwife check up last week went well, all was ok with my BP and urine this week so hoping it was just a blip! Also got my Whooping Cough vaccine, arm was sore for a few days but the injection itself was fine, although I'm ok with needles anyhow.

Been trying to sort my cover at work, haven't been just as many applications from qualified people as I'd hoped but not much I can do about that. Will start interviewing in a couple of weeks, see what happens from there. I'm planning to work up until 5/7/2013 (I'm due 17/7/2013), I can then have my 3 weeks holiday leave before my maternity leave, well that's the plan anyhow!

Sleep wise its not great but not much I can do about that either, the heartburn hasn't been just as bad but my legs get very sore and I toss and turn all night! I guess its only going to get worse lol.

So I have an update on the hair loss - as I said mine was VERY bad for 6 months now :nope: my hair was below my shoulders. On Saturday I had it cut into a bob that sits just above my shoulders and I hardly lost any hair when I washed it yesterday!!!!! It was so unusual and nice not to feel clumps of hair in my hands as I was running them through my hair!!!! The hairdresser also said I have lots of baby hairs coming through so hopefully in a year or so it wil be ok again.

Cullen - what do you do for work? It sounds a bit stressful finding the right maternity cover. With my replacement I also didn't think she was any food and again we only had 2 applicants and the other later withdrew!! But speaking to my boss now I think she's doing quite well actually!

Yes, indeed you will only be getting even more uncomfortable at nights :dohh: However it's stil the best night's sleep you'll get for months compared to when lo arrives

So I guess it's true that shorter hair doesn't fall out as bad. Would love to see a pic!

I guess you don't want your replacement to be *too* good, right? :winkwink:

Maria - yay!! I bet it looks fantastic!!

I have to start interviewing people for my maternity cover in the next week or so...it is bittersweet.

Any advice for me? I was on an antibiotic (Cefalexin) for one week for a UTI with streptococcus :growlmad: and on the 2nd to last day, started having diarhea. Im usually pretty sensitive to antibiotics so just assume it is that. Well 5 days later (3-4 days since finished all the tablets) I still have diarhea quite a few times per day :nope:. I am trying my best to stay well hydrated but I also have what i think are braxton hicks as well. Not super often and some days worse than others. Finally, I have a really bad back but I think this is due to the fact that I have now put on almost 2 stone - I was about 128lbs when I got prego and am now about 154. This is right on track for twins apparently but my back is sooooo sore (just pointing out that I dont think the back pain is pre labour related). Any suggestions, experiences, sympathy would be very welcome!

Thanks. xoxoxo

Morning all x

Aw Maria I bet its gorgeous, I too have quite long hair and would hate to cut it but if I did it would be bob length too I think x

Sunny, aw sorry hun you are suffering, I would say definitely try to stay as hydrated as you can, I too seem to be having a touch of diarrhoea too the last few days but nowhere near as bad as you! Try foods high in fibre? Also for your back pain maybe a warm compress, could be coming from the diarrhoea and if youre sensitive with antibiotics its probably a reaction to that and all the pregnancy hormones.

Well, we had our first ante-natal class yesterday, what is everyones opinion on them? I thought this one was particularly useless if I'm honest but think that was mainly down to the midwife taking it. She to me definitely had a big problem with men, kept stereotyping them as completely useless and just there because they were dragged there, that when labour arrived they wouldn't even be able to find the number for the hospital, I mean not so nice for the partners there??? The whole class was spent by her firstly asking us to write down in groups how we would be feeling the night before starting your dream job and then the rest passing around a suitcase full of items and asking us what they were, ok so we know what a sponge is, what its used for and likewise for the rest of the items, such as nightdress, socks, lip balm, water, you get my drift and we were all confused by the whole thing, roll on the next 3 lol.

Its very hard trying to find someone to take over your work isn't it, funny how were more fussy when its our own job, definitely don't want them to do a better job lol. I work as a legal secretary, not rocket science I know but my side of things is specialised on the conveyancing/probate market and a lot of what I do is quite technical (drafting Deeds, Wills etc, a lot of online forms etc) and unless someone is familiar with the terminology they wouldn't really know what they are doing so its very easy to make a mistake, I just thought there might have been one candidate who had some previous experience but none so far!

Hope everyone is keeping well x

Cullen - we did nct classes because I didn't hear very good things about the nhs ones. We had 10 classes and I would say 5-6 of them were really helpful. The rest were also a bit useless... How many more classes do you have?

hello everyone,
cullen - i am feeling better now. I started 30min walk in the morning and evening. I also follow a proper diet without any sweet. My dr told me if this way i can low my blood suger then ok. If not then he will start insulin. My leg cramps dont disappear. I feel it now throughout the day. For walking i feel tired so can sleep now properly. Here in india no antenatal class so cant help u. I dont know about this actually. U r so close to ur goal. Did u feel any problem to sleep at night for baby movement? My friend told methat i willnot sleep after 32week for active baby at night.
maria - i think u should post a pic of ur new hair cut. U r beautiful and with bob cut i am sure u looking gorgeous.
kyla - how r u? Did u decide anything about ur hairfall?
lepear - did u do ur anomaly scan? Did u find baby gender?
sunny - my weight is now 69kg. I started with 56kg. Dont know if it is healthy weight. But dr say ok. I feel hungry all the time. So try to avoid fatty and sweet food.
tella - how r u?
I am going to complete 25th week. I target to low my blood suger. My dr dont want to up glyciphage dosge. I only taking now glyciphage 500 at dinner time. I listen that bitter groud/melon can reduce blood suger but pregnant women should not eat bitter groud. Did u friends know about it? If i take it small amount, can it harm?

Cullen - I thought the class I attended with my first was pretty useless. I think for some that know *nothing* about being pregnant and birthing a baby, it may have been good, but for those of us ltttc people that know everything there is to know :)rofl:), it wasn't very helpful. Even dh didn't think it was great. But it might be worth suffering through for that one little tidbit of information that you might get.

Anupur - you won't sleep after 32 weeks not because of baby movement, but because your body will ache all over! :haha: Just think of it as preparing you to be up all night once the baby comes.

Not eating bitter gourd sounds familiar, but I can't remember why. I would stay away from it just to be safe.

Gosh - I can't believe this thread has 500 pages already  I still remember it was around 100 pages when I joined :dohh:

Anupur - I have no idea what groud is! And never heard of bitter melon - but then fruit/vegetable choice is very poor in the Uk!
I used to take 1500mg of metformin a day. And really limited sweets/white bread/fried foods and other fats.

I do need to post a picture of my new hair - I really love it!

How is everyone else?

Hi everyone! Quick update from me, had my 20 week scan today and all looks good. Although we already found out the gender on the 16th in a private scan, they confirmed we are having a little girl! I was so convinced baby was a boy! We are over the moon!

She has been very wriggly the last week or so! What an amazing feeling! I started feeling movement three weeks ago!

Had a GTT after stopping metformin for two days, glucose normal. I made them test insulin and it can back pretty high but no one knows how to interpret the results at the hospital! Not really sure where to go from here. Just think I'll keep taking the metformin and eat low carbs. I just feel so guilty if I think I've eaten too many carbs, it's horrible.

When did everyone start buying things for the baby, is it too early at 21 weeks?

Anupur - sorry to hear your glucose came back high. Hopefully the metformin will keep it in check.

Hi to all the lovely ladies. Xx

LPEAR 21weeks blimey! I started buying few small bits then, i think you should buy them when you feel happy too. So they have no plan for the raised insulin levels? I was ment to have a gtt but there has been no mention of it yet.I never took metformin as i couldn't tollerate it at all. My diet has been shocking the last few weeks and i feel guilty.

Cullen where is our time going?

I have been doing ok I finish work in 3 weeks and feel totaly ready, I have reduced my hours to 4 days and my last week a have another half day. We have just finished our nhs antenatal classes and i have found then really good, we had a lovely group bit of a mix bag of people but def will meet a couple again. Can't belive I'm nearly 33 weeks now I just can't wait! My back has been bad at times but I'm swimming which helps. I feel huge and I don't mean my bump just fat! my skin is slightly spotty and even with pcos i never gets spots.I'm def not feeling Blooming just blooming ugly. Hope everyone is ok?
Thinking of Tella xxx

Lpear - I was the same! I was 100% I was having a boy :dohh: I nearly fell off that couch when she said its a girl! Congratulations on a baby girl!!!

Nikkia - sorry you don't feel beautiful :hugs: Personally I think every single woman with a bump looks just gorgeous! Regardless of her size, complexion, etc. she's carrying a baby and that's just so special :cloud9:

Finally - my long overdue bump pix!! The first is from around19 weeks and the second was taken yesterday (24 weeks 4 days).

hope you are all doing well! x

Lpear - congrats on the baby girl!! I wish I felt guilty when I eat too many carbs! :haha: I agree with Nikkia - just start buying things whenever it makes you happy to. I do have to say though, in my experience, I wished I had had *every*thing done by 30 weeks. I got too miserable to do anything after that point.

Sunny - you look fabulous!! Not like you're having twins at *all*!

Sunny - you look fabulous! You are carrying really high too! Those babies have certainly grown in the past 5 weeks!!

On buying things - I agree with Cridge! We started when I was about 10-12 weeks (I had a scan at 9.5 weeks and all seemed well). I was really excited and motivated when I was about 20-28 weeks and then suddenly all motivation left me by about 32 weeks. The nesting instinct hadn't kicked in until about 37 weeks and I was so huge it was hard to do anything! Also I was working full time till I was 38 weeks so DH and I I ly had weekends to go look at stuff and choose.
The firniture we ordered had an 8 week delivery timeframe although they said its usually 4-7 weeks! So I'm glad we ordered it ern I was about 26 weeks because it arrived just in time to dress it!
I also found that one thing is buying stuff and the other - setting it all up and organising everything. Our nursery looked like a junk room until I was about 30 weeks because we dumped everything we bought for Sophia there. Then we had to sort it all out, unpack things, wash and iron everything, put it away and generally prepare everything for the baby! That also took ages!

So although I understand why some women leave it till they are really pregnant (like being afraid something will go wrong) I honestly can't imagine how they then cope when they are 36-38 weeks pregnant  Where I come from in Russia it's still very common for the mum to be to choose everything that she wants and make a list, then go to hospital, have the baby and the new dad and grandparents have 3 days to buy everything and set it all up..... As you can imagine they get everything wrong!!! Can you imagine how stressful that would be for the new mum?!

:hi: all

Oh wow, 500 pages and 5000 posts. Love this thread.

Cullen - I agree with you on the antenatal classes, some of the people presenting them have a real downer on men and it makes me so mad. Yes, some men are rubbish, but I think in general they're pretty supportive and want to be involved where they can be. Telling them they're useless before they try is just giving them an excuse. Far better to appeal to their egos by telling them how great they can be! I found them useful before DS1 as they demonstrated bathing a baby, but that's about the best I got out of it. :haha: We didn't bother going with Jude. Hope you're feeling well. :hugs:

Anupur - Bitter gourd is a no-no I think in early pregnancy, not sure about 2nd or 3rd trimesters so perhaps best to avoid. I wouldn't worry if you've had a small amount though. How are you feeling?

Maria - Yay for new hairdo! I went to see my hairdresser, who confirmed I am not going bald  I was so convinced. I am still shedding enough hair to be scary but I am less bothered about it now and I also think it's slowing down a little since I started on the New Mum Pregnacare.

Lpear - Congratulations on team pink :pink: So exciting! I'm jealous that you get to buy all those cute girl outfits! I started buying for baby after the 20 week scan. My MIL is crazy superstitious (stupidstitious I say!) and wouldn't buy a thing for baby if she had her way until baby arrived but I think that's really unlucky as it's much better to be prepared and have everything ready. One thing I did was to do a spreadsheet with what I needed and how much things were. On Amazon I created a wishlist of essential items (even if I didn't intend to buy from them) and then watched the prices go up and down. For example the Maxi Cosi car seats are often on a good offer with Boots, never pay full price for one. :hugs:

Nikkia - :happydance: I'm getting excited for you! I never bloomed either, I felt bloated, spotty and achey - but everyone else always sees pregnancy differently. Pregnant women always look lovely to me, its just how you feel inside which makes you think differently.

Sunny - Wow you look incredible! I'm jealous! How are you doing with the baby names list?

Tella - Bless your heart. Thinking of you. :hugs:
