anyone got pregnant after ovarian drilling?

hi everyone! I haven't been on the site in a few days. Its good to see we have some new friends!

Feeling positive today that we will get a BFP on this thread this month.

I had a doctor's appt this morning. It was an ultrasound and bloodwork after taking clomid. Nurse said that my lh levels have started to surge. Could possibly ovulate this weekend or on Monday. I have another appointment on Monday. If I have not ovulated, we may be doing IUI on Tuesday.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! FX'd for everyone!

Loop! Snflwgrl - great news abou your scan and imminent ovulation

I agree, august needs to bring at least 1 BFP on this thread!

hey ladies - maria i am pretty sure i have ovulated based on the signs i usually get with a succesful cycle (o cycle) and that is sore breasts (caused by rising progesterone) and i had that EWCM after my OD. however i took a OPK yesterday just to see what my body is doing out of curiosity and it was fairly the same as the control line!?! weird huh, so my LH levels are up. i have heard that when you conceive the hormone LH is nearly identical to hcg and you can get postive OPKS before you get BFP....or maybe im just talking myself into false hopes. ahhh geez i dunno!

AFM > Ok so it eventually OV'd on CD25 according to FF :cloud9: :happydance: I'm delighted to see that I OV'd and now I just want to see if my LP is long enough. If AF arrives this month I'm going onto Clomid or Soy to try and shorted my cycles, 39 Days is very long. By the time I OV I should almost start my next cycle so effectively it is decreasing my chances of natural conception if doc wants to start alternatives in January. As I will only have 3 OV's before the end of Dec if I OV on CD25. But if I can bring my cycle down to 30days then I will have about 5 OV's if all goes well and fx'd one is successful.

Maria > Have you OV'd? Glad you had a blast at the wine tasting, we went on one in April but shoe, I got very drunk, they are far too generous with the wine when you have 5+ glasses after each other.

Keisha > OV on CD14 is great! Lots of :dust: for this cycle.

Jennie > :( sorry about the cysts! Atleast you know the LAP will help as they can remove them and do the OD to also assist you in OVing more often.

Amy > I haven't heard of anyone falling in the same cycle as OD but I have read of about people the next cycle. Is the CD21 test for progesterone levels?

Arza > Lots of :dust: for this cycle for you too!!!!

Lozdog > tender breasts are a great sign! I think for all of us the first milestone after OD is OV and then regular cycles from there on, so it seems like yours is also starting to work. I hope your OV not only brings the positive OPK but also a HPT!!!!

snflwrgrl > OMW yay, IUI on Tuesday, holding thumbs that the OV held off until your appointment today!!!!!!!!!!! LOADS OF :dust:

Heres to having a :bfp: this month on our thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don’t care if its :pink: or :blue: as long as the :witch: looses her away and the dear Lord sends us a :baby: from above to :hugs: and hold

Hey Tella! Great to read from you! And great news about ovulation :happydance: Although I agree that having a 39 day cycle is very long and only gives you 1 chance to conceive in nearly 6 weeks! When it should be every 4 weeks....
See, for me Clomid delays ovulation actually. Because I know I only ovulate naturally out of left ovary - that happens on or before CD15. So for my right ovary I take Clomid and for example this cycle Im currently CD17 and just started getting EWCM yesterday so I think Ill ovulate tomorrow or wednesday - i.e. CD18 or 19. It's still a week earlier than you though. I expect to have a 32-33 day cycle.
My lower tummy feels bloated and uncomfortable today so Im pretty certain I will ov tomorrow...may be in the evening.
Which means af will get bang in the middle of the holidays :growlmad: Just like last time :dohh:

How is everyone else doing?

Hi ladies.........so sorry havent been in contact and not been on here much...........Nothing has changed with me..........had OD 16 mar no AF since and no Ov...........infact havent BD'd for 2 n half months.........and have completely given up hope now.........i dont think the OD has helped me even though its known to regulate AF's but mine have always been non existant so nothing changed.........i knw sounds awful but i dont think were suppose to be parents.......sad but i guess someone is blessed to have kids.....god bless u all and hope u all achieve ur BFP's soon xxxxxxxxx

Ren - I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. I was just thinking about you today.
Were you trying to lose weight? How is that going? They say OD is successful on 80% of women who are at or close to the ideal weight and extra weight can prevent the OD from working.
Have you thought of going away for a few days? Change of scenery? I'm really sorry you haven't BDed for so long. Is there a reason for that? Have you thought of any ways to try and unwind? May be try acupuncture or reflexology? Or start a new hobby?

My heart goes out to you! No one should have to go through infertility, especially if you've tried all options. Please don't leave here - we are all here to help and support! :hugs:

Hi Everyone,

Well, a change in plans. Went to my FS today and they saw that I would have to have the IUI this afternoon and it just wasn't possible since DH was at work already and wouldn't get to the fs office in time for the lab to do their job. SO, we will try "naturally" again this month and we will schedule the IUI for the next cycle. They also informed me that my insurance doesn't cover the IUI, so, I get one chance at it - hope that is all it takes.

DH just helped me with my HCG shot. Should ov tonight or tomorrow. I will keep in mind that any testing this month may not be accurate because of the HCG shot. So, I won't be tempted to test early.

Maria - it looks like we may be doing IUIs at the same time - if we don't get our BFP's this month!!

Ren- I am so sorry to hear the OD hasn't helped at all. Sending hugs and prayers to you.

I am confused! I have had a period since may! I have been on provera that didn't work and then the pill! I have had what is like period pain for 2 months now and nothing is happening! Seriously stressed and now getting emotional

Fee - I think your FS really needs to give you a scan to see what's happening inside the womb - as in how thick is the lining and why isn't it coming out?! Also, he should send you for a full blood test for all the hormones and check those out.
I have never heard of anyone not getting a period after the Pill or the Provera!!!

Snflrwrgrl - I think Im ovulating tonight/tomorrow so we can be cycle buddies in the 2WW  :happydance:

I got stung with a false hope after the Trigger shot -someone tried to convince me it's out within 10 days but I tested 12 days past trigger/10 days past IUI and got a faint positive on all tests so was getting my hopes up! Only to get a stark white BFN the next day and then af.
The I googled it and it does say that trigger can take up to 12-13 days to fully come out of your system and with tests being so sensitive now they really pick up very small amounts of HCG  So I agree with you - you shouldn't test until at least 13DPTrigger

I have a appt Thursday morning at 10 with him! It's really weird it worked the first month! I am getting the period pain and ovaries pain

hey sorry not been around on here had my smear results and said its boderline changes so there doing a colcosopy fingers crossed eveythings fine and il still get my op x

Hi Jennie, I heard several girls' stories saying the smear picked up borederline cells and then further tests showed everything was fine!!! I can imagine how worried you must be but try to stay positive!! I really hope everything will be fine and you can have the op on the 17th
When's the colcoscopy?

Fee - good luck on thursday. I also hate the unknown - when you wish at least something happened. I really hope the FS will have some answers for you.

Snflrwrgrl - how did the "natural trying" go? :haha:
I'm considering myself 1DPO today. At least from 8DPO ill be on holidays so hopefully less urge to test :dohh:

Hello Ladies,

Welcome Amy - Wish you all the best after the OD and keep us posted.

Tella - So happy to hear you OV'd, :happydance: although your cycle is long, its better than how it was before OD - FX'd for you big time!
BTW I love your last line - JUST LOVE IT - Made me smile!
'We don’t care if its:pink: or :blue: as long as the :witch: looses her away and the dear Lord sends us a :baby: from above to :hugs: and hold.'

Lozdog - All the very best this cycle - I hope you do get your BFP soon.

snflwgrl - sorry about your missed IUI, :hugs: I hope you do conceive naturally this cycle and dont hve to worry about the IUI

Maria - Another cycle ei! I always say this and I will say it again - I am rooting for you.
Hope you didn't get too drunk :drunk: at the wine tasting LoL...however I do hope you have a fabulous time on your holiday!

Fee83 - Gosh that must be stressful, I think your FS needs to get more serious and if not, find a new one! Really feel for you, I am sure that they can do more for you.

Ren78 - Really sorry - please do not lose hope. It is hope that ges us out of bed every morning.

AFM - Day 8 of new cycle, but just signing in to wish you ALL the very best!

Thank you ladies for keeping this thread going and being so supportive. Its nice to have someone to talk to in times like these, God bless you all! :friends:

it tommrow hun im sure its fine my mom had same thing did a colcopscy and was fine think its cos we:sex: day before  and i think that can affect the result x

No more BDing then, love :haha: I hope it's not painful  At least you don't have to wait long!

Arza - great to hear from you! Shame a new cycle started for you...but at least we seem to be getting cycles. It's more than lots of other ladies have so I guess we need to see it as a positive.

I also really glad Im part of this thread...although Im getting a bit discouraged because we haven't had a success in over 6 months now. There's plenty of us on here who had their OD months ago so I think it's time for most of us, no, ALL of us, to get a BFP

Im 1DPO today :happydance:

Hi ladies! I'm sorry I posted once and then went MIA. It's been a crazy busy month and I tend to obsess when I check forums regularly, so I've been trying to steer clear. I love how active this board is and I hope to post more often!

Maria - I feel like you and I think a lot in the same way so I'm always rooting for you while I'm doing catch-up reading. I hope this is your month!

I'm trying to keep everyone else straight and having a hard time with it, so for now I'll send out a general good luck to everyone this month!

A little recap on me... I had OD on June 27th and according to Dr. orders, was supposed to bring on af the following week. I decided to wait it out and see if my body would do anything on its own. No such luck. I waited until all our traveling was done and then started natural progesterone cream to bring on af. I'm currently on cd3 and started 2.5mg of letrozole (femara) today. From what I've heard of the drug, 2.5mg doesn't seem to do much good, but I'm hopeful that with the recent OD it will help me ovulate.

I'm encouraged by all those that are starting to see regulation in your cycles since OD. It's only been about 5 weeks since my op, but I'm having to hold back thoughts that I've gone past any hope of seeing benefits from the OD. Like my ovaries are all healed up and back to "normal". But someone on here just had a couple ovulatory cycles after almost a year since OD, right?! I just have yet to see any benefits from the op. I go in for blood work on Monday so that will be the real test to see if OD did anything for me.

:) Cridge
