Anyone shopped online at Baby time London?

Hmmm...well, day 3 and no sign of the money yet.

I've notified my credit card company just to let them know that there's something going on and to seek advice.

If the worst comes to the worst I should be able to claim the money back from the card company under the section 75 thing. But I don't want it to get to that stage if at all possible! (google Section 75 and go to the moneysavingexpert link about it. Very helpful!)

I ordered from BTL a month ago and haven't received anything. I emailed about 3 weeks ago and did get a response saying they had issues in the warehouse and they would try and fulfil all order by Tuesday (2 weeks ago). I emailed again last week and have heard nothing.
I have now emailed them asking to cancel my order as i've tried ringing them and it's constantly engaged. I can't believe i was so stupid as to not check them out before ordering - i knew the deal was too good to be true!!!!!!
Luckily I ordered on my credit card.

Has anybody received any satisfactory goods or actually had their money refunded?

I sympathise with all of you on here; this is just horrible!

I finally got someone to answer the phone today at BTL ... MIRACLE!!!!! The guy wasn't very nice and never even tried to apologise. But he said he would refund me if I put it in writing - I said i'd put it in writing already and that I wanted him to refund me immeidately whilst I was on the phone - I was in no mood for messing! I gave him my order number and he was able to quote my credit card details so that gave me some hope! I heard a machine whirring in the background so i'm hopeful that the refund has gone through. I then let loose with a torrent of abuse and told them what scamming b*st*rds I think they are and that I hope trading standards catch up with them. I would recommend people just keep calling until someone answers - I have rung at least every quarter of an hour today.

He did say that they had a sent an email out to all customers explaining the delays - but this is a pile of sh*te if you ask me.

I have rung my credit card company to see if the refund has gone through but they said it could be 10 working days before they can see anything. So fingers crossed. I will come back and let you all know if I hear anything. I see there are similar forums to this on other 'mum' websites too with the same story about BTL unfortunatley.

Sorry for the long post ... I wanted to try and give as much information as possible. I would say if you manage to get hold of someone at BTL then don't let them fob you off - demand your refund and get them to do it whilst you're on the phone. Don't give up!!!!!!! And then swear at them!

Has anyone reported them to 'Watchdog'? I figure this is worth doing, as they seem to be 'ripping off' so many people!!

Here is the link!

Eeek! I'm glad I saw this thread! I'll definitely steer clear of Baby Time London!

yes i have, few days ago, fingers crossed enough people do that they will do somethibg to get peoples money back!

I have just reported them to WatchDog after seeing all of your comments.

I ordered from the scammers over 2 weeks ago. They took payment straight away and e-mailed straight away to say my order was being processes (the email was so basic and had no information about my order apart form my reference).

I e-mailed them a few days later after seeing some reviews about them on here and had no response. So I tried ringing them last week and got through to their shop. The woman who answered was very rude and asked me random questions and she was just guessing what i may have ordered. I went to give her my order number and gave her the first 4 digits and she said thats all she needed. Then after 5 mins of her guesing what id ordered because she kept saying things were out of stock, then said that the office is closed and she'll write my order number down and mark it as urgent.

I still hadnt heard anything back so the other day I emailed again and basically said the below...
CAN SOMEONE GET BACK TO ME ASAP, THIS IS PATHETIC, I HAVE E-MAILED AND CALLED AND HAD NO RESPONSE.

IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU I WILL BE GOING TO TRADING STANDARDS.

I have still not heard from them so will definitely be cancelling the order through my credit card company.

I think it is so unfair on a lot of you because I was lucky and was buying this for my best friend for when the little angel arrives but a lot of women buying form them are pregnant and stressed through the pregnancy, they don't need the hassle from Baby Time London!

Sorry for the essay x I'll let you all know what happens (if anything) x

i have reported them to watchdog to, hope there is enough people to name and shame them

OH DEAR OH DEAR more people being ripped off by btl. I cant believe how they think they can get away with this. I have reported them to watchdog twice now and trading standards. They are going to get such a shock(what goes around comes around). I am still yet to hear anything regarding my order placed 1 month ago and have attempted to contact btl by phone and email with no luck.

i got my refund showing on my credit card today!
I actually can't work out if these guys are scammers or just really really bad at what they do!!!!
So don't give up - keep calling and demand they process the refund whilst you're on the phone.
I hope you all get your money back.

Hmmm. Still waiting for our refund which they said they were processing on 30th November (before you asked for yours, Jolley). They did say 4 to 7 working days so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt until Wed.

Well babytime stillhave the cheek to continue to sellon the high street. They dont answer the phone so i have just called the shop next door and asked them to check. Nearly a month now since i placed my order and still nothing and that is after they did answer the phone once out of hundreds of attempts and told me i would recieve my item over a week ago now. These *******s really should be closed down and locked up. Im sure justice will come tho. Just continue to report them to watchdog and trading standards.WOULDNT MIND BUT I DONT EVEN WANT THE ITEM OFF THEM ANYMORE WOULD RATHER PAY MORE FOR GOOD SERVICE BUT THEY ARE ALSO IGNORING MY NUMEROUS CANCELLATION EMAILS.

I saw this thread on google and registered to post.

Unfortunately we have a similar experience with this company, we ordered a maxi cosi car base in early November, a month later and nothing received despite being 'in stock' on the website and taking the money straight.

My girlfriend has done most of the chasing and most of the time it has been engaged or ringing out, she got through a couple of times and were told that it would be coming in stock and would be sent out however still nothing.

We bought on credit card so will kick off a dispute however feel sorry for those who have used a debit card and aren't covered, especially who have spent a few hundred on them.

I suspect companies like this do this kind of thing as they know that some people won't have time to chase for refunds and lose the money, so in effect they make money for nothing despite only honouring a small number of orders, so to all the people out there who have been stung by this company, please raise a dispute or chase for a refund from the company!

Has any body actually recieved any of there items from babytime london? it has nearly been a month since i ordered mine now and not a thing.

it will be a month tomorrow that they took the money out of my account, no items, no emails and cant get through on phone i try about 5 to 10 times a day but engaged or no answer, will get bank involved tomorrow to request a charge back and trading standards

I eventually got my goods, after ALOT of phone calls. There is a woman who works there, answers the phone, she kept telling me she was only taking messages and would call back but just be very persistant! I know what you are all going through but thankfully after about 6 weeks I did get my goods.. Keep trying! x

my bank is requesting a charge back from babytime now, sick of waiting, if no joy with that its trading standards time

Hi, My name is Daniel McCarron - I too ordered a high chair and have emailed with no response... please can the exec at babytime reply as per the earlier thread. Thank in advance

This is awful :(
I can't believe it's allowed to happen in all honesty!

I will point out now I am not some competitor posting untrue reviews about Babytime London, like the Babytime representative on this thread thinks there are out there. I am a customer and I have found babytimelondon to be Utter rubbish. I can't imagine a competitor would need to write bad reviews about Babytime, enough genuine customers are doing that.

Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering. Ordered a car seat for my baby, stated as IN STOCK. Two weeks later still no seat. Owner guaranteed del for following Monday but never happened. I cancelled order and paid another shop to deliver the seat. We are now 3 weeks on and no refund in my account from babytime, so currently i have paid double. DISHONEST TRADER.

Your should note the following:

THEY NEVER PICK THE PHONE UP. EVER.

THEIR FAX MACHINE NEVER ACCEPTS FAXES.

THEY NEVER RESPOND TO EMAILS.

The only way I have been able to contact them is to get staff from the shop opposite (Found using Google Street view!) to walk across and tell them to call me.

I cannot say enough to NOT use this shop. Their website will say something is in stock but if you do ever get to speak to someone they will say its a technical gliche. I fell for that the first time I got through to them. The owner will say its a technical gliche. Then of course you can't get hold of them when your delivery still fails to turns up. If they didn't actually have a shop i would be thinking this was a scam because the customer service is so poor.

Save yourself the hassle, I really wish I had. If you think you're going to save a few pounds like I did, the reality is you wont as it wont turn up and you'll end up buying your product elsewhere and waiting months for the money you paid them to come back. You'll stress about where your product is and spend hours trying to get in touch with them, all a waste of time as they never respond.

This is the last thing any parent needs just before Xmas. Disgusted.

I see someone from Babytime is dealing with customer complaints on this thread so i will update the thread if my refund has been dealt with. Babytime - i have emailed you my details today on both your email addresses so you will have my details there.
