Anyone TTC while breastfeeding?

Cycle day 36. I hate this stage of the TWW when you have been expecting AF to turn up for a few days and you know it could turn up any minute and you dare not convince yourself you could be pregnant. I have no symptoms of pregnancy.

oooh Charmed... the limbo.... I'll send lots of your way. Do you temp? or are you just estimating when you may have ovulated?

I'm not in limbo anymore. I got my BFP this morning. I've worked out I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I was using OPKs.

How you all feeling with the buns in the oven?

Iow-bird, how are doing? Which cycle day are you on? Im in cycle day 6 but not sure how long my cycles are. Even though we are taking a break I DID go get my levels checked.... My tsh and dheas are normal... Everything looks normal... So i dont know why I couldnt get pregnant. My dr doesnt recommend birth control for me right now and just wants to see what my body does naturally since we were having a hard time before. So were just goimg to follow her advice. Although my husband says he WANTS another baby and it would be nice, but he supports my decisions. I guess whatever happens naturally happens. Other than that, my dr said when we are ready to start actively trying shes sending us to a specialist.

I'm not 100% sure on cd! I think either 18 or 21. I ovulated sometime between Sunday and Wednesday (bded Saturday and Tuesday). Dr said to take cd 1 as the first day of proper bleeding, but hard to pinpoint when that was so going for bloodiest on Monday. Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! I had one of those blood pregnancy test done the other day too...hard to understand the results of all those tests....but I'm sure if I was pregnant she would have called me back. Anywho.....I hope you get your bfp on Monday!
Also...is your little one weaned from breast feeding yet! I'm having a horrible time trying to wean mine...I try and get her to sleep but she fights and cries until I give in to nurse her..,she wakes up several times in the night...any ideas anyone? Please?

Has your husband been checked out? We're almost certain that the reason we weren't getting pregnant was because my husband's count/motility was low. He started taking Zinc, and (TMI warning!) getting himself to the point of finishing, but wouldn't let himself finish for several days before my O day. He's almost positive that it helped him build up! *shrug* No way of knowing for us, but maybe when you see the specialist, see if he's going to be checked out as well.

Kaylrra- my husband actually has low testosterone....so his drive is not all the way there and with the treatment it DOES lower the sperm count....when i had the miscarriage in december i brought that up, but the dr said that at the moment my husband was able to get me pregnant so hes not the problem right now....im thinking its the timing....with his low sex drive he isnt in the mood all the time. But ever since i saw the dr again on tuesday, hes been wanting to get busy more lately....twice yesterday!!!! So i dont know if hes trying to see for himself if its the timing (so why not go for it more) or if its him....of course i font want to bd everyday though because that lowers his count even more, but every other day until i start my next cycle woyld be good...lol but im just always in the mood not even trying to conceive....lol so who knows ....

Had blood taken this morning, but won't get results for a couple of days.
Layla: I have no plans to wean, I'll keep feeding until he turns 2 as per the WHO guidelines.
Not too worried about hubbies fertility, we have 2 kids it's more likely to be me or just the luck of the draw. 8 cycles is still in the range of normal, and I breastfeed so not too worried about why. I just want to know if I'm ovulating, if I'm not that's ok, but would be nice not to think ooooh a, I pregnant every month if there's no chance because I'm not ovulating x

Blood tests came back normal
Hcg negative, but was 8dponat the most, possibly less so ain't over until the witch flys in on her broom stick!

How long are your cycles now since they've come back...last month I had a 28 day cycle and I think I ovulated earlier than I though for usually being about 34 day cycles...hopefully I'm regulating now and keep track of my body...it so hard not know what it's doing...anyway, I'm also arill breast feeding...I don't think that's a war I want to fight right now if I expect to win...she's definitely not ready...

no sign of witch, but I'm super grumpy! She's due anytime between now and Monday. Cycles seem to be anywhere between 27 and 32 days at the moment. Not bothering to test yet. Really don't want to see another bfn!
Did you try this month? Or are you still keeping everything relaxed? It's so hard to know what to do for the best at times! Xx

Iow-bird, we didnt try this month....mostly because im still breastfeeding and i really dont know if i can fall pregnant again....so we arent trying but at the moment, not preventing either. We have been bd ing a lot more, but i still think its gonna happen just yet. I do think my cycles are getting shorter... By that i mean i think i might be ovulating earlier now. I think O day might be closer to cd 14-16 rather than dc 21-25.... So that might be better now. I know what you mean about that bfn....i had a blood pregnany a couple weeks ago and even though i knew it was impossible to be pregnant, i was still hoping for that sweet surprise.... Damn....
