Apparently ds4 doesn't like Noah or Elliott. I mean, it's not his decision, but he is the only one actually making suggestions that he's serious about I'm hoping something will grow on him, ds2 didn't like his name until after he was born and that didn't effect our decision.

It was ds3s turn to feel the baby tonight haha but when ds2 tried to feel he stopped and I had to called him back a few minutes later when he started again. He did manage to feel him this time though. Just ds1 to feel him now, if he ever actually leaves his room for something other than school hahaha

Shame DS doesn’t like Noah or Elliot. Maybe if you choose Reuben then you get away without Lennon as you can say it’s too many ‘n’s to DH. Reuben Jamie Scott is super cute!

On my side my OH has come round to my name a bit and said its really grown on him and he asked some friends who thought it was really cute! Butttt in this time period I put it to the back of my mind and started to like others! Although I guess it’s good we have a few. We won’t choose a name until birth even if we both know what the name will be- both our families have this superstition about not naming babies before they are born! So even though we had our DDs name as we both discussed it was our favourite- we never chose it until 2 minutes after she was born! I feel this time we might have a couple of choices and then see what she “feels” like! Right now I’m leaning to Eleanora as my favourite.

Ds4 said he likes Reuben but doesn't want to use it. I told DH that he liked Reuben and he didn't comment so maybe he doesn't. I think we'll just have to keep working on ds4 to get him to come round to Noah as I'm going through lists of 1000s of names and just not finding anything. I remembered this morning that his friends little brother is called Noah and usually that would put me off, but instead I thought "Oh yay, maybe that'll convince him" so I think in my mind I'm set on it even if I'm still looking.

I would go with Reuben if I could get everyone to agree as well. Either will do I just want to pick one without upsetting anyone

DH and I have agreed on Reuben. I don't know what the boys will say but ds4 did like it even though he didn't want to use it, and after weeks of looking through lists of thousands of names I still can't find anything else I love. If he's not happy then I might be able to negotiate on middle names, as long as it fits, but I need to love the first name.
Also as Reuben was MIL grandfather it counts as our family name and gives free reign on the middle names. DH likes Isaac and I love it but my best friend has a son called Isaac and I also think it's too close to Zac so I've said we can have that as a middle name.

Midwife appointment today which is a handy 5 second walk across the road from work so I’ll nip out at 12
Pretty sure I’ve got thrush
Not bad but bad enough to be annoying, when I had it last pregnancy pharmacy said to see nurse which is a pain making an appointment, she just said to use canestan but the 1% cream which is used for athletes foot so i just bought some to save time but It’s not exactly getting rid of it

Tuesday I was at maternity for my first episode of reduced movement, all was ok but she barley moved all day, I did say to them I have only felt stronger movements for the last couple of weeks so could be why but they said they to go in anyway
I was seen by the midwife who delivered ds so she looked at pictures on our phone and loved seeing him now, I hope I get her for this birth as shes so lovely
With dd and ds I was checked for reduced movement 2-3 times each but I Put it down to the placenta, they still say to go in whough which I will as I’m such a worrier!

I've been obsessing. Every day googling names trying to find something else. DH was making all sorts of suggestions to ds3 yesterday and I got fed up and said "I've been through lists that have 1000 names on and those names I have suggested are the only ones that I like!" It's only been 2 weeks since I found out, but I've been looking at names for ideas for most of the pregnancy and still nothing else has come up. I needed to know who he was basically

Oh no, I'm glad everything was ok with baby. Urgh thrush is horrible, I hope she can advise something.

Glad you’be chosen a name Mother- so he will be Reuben Isaac? I think that’s a beautiful name! I also think it’s nice it’s special to MIL.

Star- glad everything turned out to be ok. And great they took you in to be sure! I can’t believe the difference in feeling with the placenta so youare probably right m- I basically feel every tiny flutter this time. Feels like popcorn constantly is brewing in my belly and then the strong kicks when she’s awake. With DD and the anterior placenta it was only the strong kicks I could feel.

My pelvic pain has increased quite a bit. It’s ok in the morning but by bed I feel like an old lady hobbling around! Names we are still discussing- OH suggested Agnes yesterday which I personally don’t like. But I think this is where coming from different countries makes names difficult as they 1)have a different feel/vibe in one language and 2) are pronounced differently. I like Poppy and so does OH but he also thinks it doesn’t mean anything in Swedish so just sounds like a dogs name to most swedes!

Isaac will be in there, but the others all have 2 middle names so he'll either be Reuben Isaac *name* or Reuben *name* Isaac depending on what the name is and whether his initials would spell something he'd get teased for for example, if we chose a name beginning with P he'd be RIP! I think it'll probably be Noah though to be honest as I love it so much.
It must be really difficult choosing names when they can have different connections in different countries as some names just automatically make you think of certain tv shows or whatever don't they?

Oh good thinking about the initials- I hadn’t considered that! I think if it’s Noah for the second middle name that it works both ways around!

I only think of it because I grew up with the story of before my mum was born and they obviously didn't know the gender they told my Great uncle the name they had for a boy and he said "you can't call him that, his initials will be LEGS!"

Dh felt lots of kicks this morning for the first time!

Aw that's lovely Star. Ds1 still hasn't felt anything, but he's a teenager, much of his time is spent in his room. Hopefully he'll feel something over Christmas.

I love Isaac too but I wouldn't have used it due to it being my friends son, but DH has mentioned it so many times I can't see the harm in it being a middle name.
I'm getting so excited now, I have to keep stopping myself from buying Christmas clothes for him for next year and reminding myself that I've had children in clothes older than their age and children in clothes bigger than their age so I should wait and see what he's like before buying anything other than newborn/0-3.

I’m so excited too mother, I just hope time doesn’t go slow after Xmas! Next gtt on the 9th jan, I’m not so worried if I’ve got it again, just don’t want to be induced for the third time! Want to know what it says like to have that excitement of is it’s labour, waters breaking etc


Dd and Ds haven’t felt kicks yet but ds isn’t too young really

Im also getting really excited! We are moving DD this weekend into the bigger room (Santa is getting her her big girl bed) and then I’ll start on this little ones nursery! So getting excited as it’s getting real!

But I’m also worried it will go slow after Xmas! I’ve been thinking once new year is here it will go incredibly fast as it’s only a few months away- but I bet it will go really slowly now!!

I'm not too worried about it going slow afterwards as I've got ds1 and ds3 birthdays and 2 hospital appointments for ds3 and there will be all kinds of Easter services at school. I think the last few weeks will go slowly whatever though I don't want him to come on a certain date so will be willing him out or to stay put hahaha
