April mummies baby club :-)

lol, he's hit and miss tbh, sometimes he wolfs it down, others, like today, hes not been that interested..Im not gonna introduce anything else until hes 4 months if I can help it, although yeah would be nice. I dont seem to be able to make this bloody rice up right, it goes all lumpy:dohh: then hes spitting out the lumps:rofl: poor lil guy. wow Oscar is one hell of a hungry bubbs hey. I told you mash up steak n chip for him!
I think I would try some sort of cereal, maybe rusks? You need to fill that boy!

Yeah he has a dummy mama2b, he sucks the hell out of it then spits it out and has an epi when nothing comes out of it! then he will try and eat his fists :dohh: thats how i know he's hungry, for the next hour and a half after a feed he's settled then it all starts again, except today he's been feeding (sometimes upto 13 oz's) then doing it after about 10 mins, surely there must be an end bracket to how much milk is too much! xx

Thanks Jen, I just did a quick google and it says from 6 months, i'l check it out next time i'm in boots It should be ok if it doesnt have gluten in as i'm sure thats what you have to watch out for in early weaning :)

Cant believe you 2 havent met up, surely its a bonus having someone so close by with babies the same age, Ive been going to Baby Massage, Baby Bounce & Rhyme and a mother and Baby group to mingle with other mums, there isnt any where I live and most of my friends finished ages ago x

it is indeedy ... but i cant get the pram down the
stairs by myself so i cant get to most things :hissy:
unless jasons not working to give me a hand ...

x

Ive found with the rice that he spits more out that i put in in the first place :dohh: i also considered trying another brand of baby rice to see if its the one i'm using thats shite, ive got heinz atm, mine goes all lumpy too, it looks like cottage cheese and tastes like glue! x

Sarah, Leo spits his dummy and chews his fists but hes not hungry, hes usually got a belly ache or wind when he does this, although if I offered him bottle he would take an ounce or two..........are you sure Oscar is hungry? Have you tried giving him water/juice when he does this between feeds?

I would invest in a lie-flat buggy then, if you had an umbrella fold you could carry that on one shoulder and Emily in the other :D x

mines the boots organic one, so yep its all rices! Plus I make it with warm milk and within like 2 secs its cold which prolly doesnt help! Leo spits his out at first then laughs at me then swallows it then laughs at me:dohh:

i should but i cant afford things like
that at the moment ... once she
cant sit i'll get a lightweight fold up
thing and then theres no stopping me

yeah i do give him water, Ive given it him every day since I started with the rice, I dont mean he playfully nibbles his fist (which he does do sometimes) He kinda crys while trying to eat it if that makes sense! I even resorted to gripe water tonight as I was thinking maybe wind, why cant babies just bloody talk to tell you whats up! I should add though (not tyhat i'm rubbing it in!) he sleeps for 12 hours at night and has done since about a week old so I guess a lot of his feeding is catching up from the night x

Aww bless you 2 are shy  you been chatting on here for ages you will be fine! x

Lucas just started chewing his fists to and like you im positive he isn't hungry I think its because they have just started to explore their hands ? Is that right ?

Mind you he only ever crys when he is hungry so im quite fortunate that I know exactly when he wants feeding. If ive ever mistaken it for whinging then he soon puts me straight !

emilys like that during the day
she's sleeping 10-12 hours a night
and during the day she'll eat for
britian!! and she shoves her fist and
fingers in her mouth when shes hungry
and makes herself gag by doing it!

Oh bless him, what a champ sleeping 12 hours :) Im lucky if I get 4 ! Could he be teething already ?

We've only just got down to 1 night feed but he still wakes up around 2am and 5am for his dummy or to come in our bed.

I just want him to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep !!!!
