~~~August Apples 2019~~~
Wow @RebeccaR19, that 3D pic came out great!
I feel this baby wriggling around pretty regularly which is nice. DD has decided that my larger belly means it's for sitting and that' she kind of uncomfortable! She's also getting possessive of me, she doesn't want my husband to touch me and even gets upset when a cat hops into my lap. Any ideas? She loves babies but I'm worried about how jealous she might be.
Anyone considering cloth diapering? or have experience with it? I'm leaning towards it. I'll use a service that picks up dirties and drops clean ones to my front door because I have no desire for the extra laundry.
Thank you, Weebles! My son was very jealous towards the end of my pregnancy with my daughter, and he was even worse after she was born. It's just a matter of the older one feeling important still. It helped for both of us to step in and continously remind him how loved and special he still was. We also found things that were unique to him like learning to ride a bike, going to school, etc. The more new exciting things for him that we celebrated, the better it went. It won't be so bad forever. I hope she can work through her uncertainties for you. I know it isn't easy as a parent.
Dream143r- I had a dream last night that I decided to do cloth diapers. I have been on the fence about it in the past. However, I am doubtful I will do it. I already feel like I am up to my eyeballs in laundry as it is. But I like the idea. I think if I had more help with the laundry, I would do it.
I can't believe I am 24 weeks tomorrow! I am so excited about vday! I am slightly frustrated as I originally had my 24 week appointment scheduled tomorrow as my last weekday off from work before summer. Then they called me and said my provider had an emergency, so they had to cancel all of her appointments. So now I have to hope they can schedule me with someone else by tomorrow. I really hope they can because otherwise I will have to take off work for an appointment. And I am already going to have to take off for my gestational diabetes testing day and for my 28 week appointment.
We had our anatomy scan yesterday and we're having a BOY! DH and DS are thrilled lol \\:D/:dance::headspin: I can't wait for August!!!
So how is everyone doing? It feels like my pregnancy is just chugging along. Nothing crazy here except for maybe the amount of weight I've gained. So far this is the most uneventful pregnancy I've every had (and I hope it stays that way) so no updates here. We are closing on a new home which is exciting and stressful and so far has taken up a bit of my free time. The timing is working out really well which I'm pleased with. We should be all moved in well before the baby arrives which is what I wanted. Hope all is well with everyone.
Great to hear about the smooth pregnancy and new house, Weebles :)
I sometimes feel days are going by so fast but at other times feel that they are just not moving! Had intense lower abdomen pains 2 weeks ago, went to the doctor, they said everything was ok and to hydrate more, so chugging atleast a gallon of water each day since then and i am so much better now.
Trying to find a maxi baby shower dress, any suggestions anyone?
Doing good here! Celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary this weekend :friends: My brother and sister drove several hours to come watch our kiddos overnight. Feeling blessed!
Weebles, that's great that your move is moving along smoothly! Moving is quite stressful, so I'm glad that the timing is working out so well.
Happyway, glad you're feeling better! Staying hydrated has been a bit of a struggle for me too.
Happy Easter, everyone! <3
Weebles - I'm up 18lbs so far....hoping to keep total gain at 35 or less. FX
Happy - I'm also looking for a shower dress. My invitations are actually going out today and the shower is June 2nd. Then I also have a wedding to go to on June 22nd (I'll be 33 weeks) no idea what I'll wear to that.
I'm also desperately trying to drink more water. I used to be so good but have really not developed good habits during pregnancy.
I am doing pretty good! I can't believe I am at the end of the 2nd trimester. But I can feel it for sure. I am starting to have to go to the bathroom every few hours again. My bladder is already starting to give up! lol
At the same time, I feel the baby move so regularly now. She stops moving whenever I put my hand on my belly (or when someone else does). All of my kids have been that way though. Almost nobody gets to feel them from the outside because they just stop moving! I can also feel when she has the hiccups now. That part is fun!
I am somewhat prepared, but I also feel there is still lots to be done before she gets here! I plan to get a lot of things ready in June!
Awww I haven't felt hiccups yet, I don't think. Sounds so precious.
I feel like its time to get in go mode as well and start getting things done. May & June will be dedicated to this. I hoping to have most things done by the end of June. I have the last week of June off as vacation days (staycation) that should help me to wrap things up and achieve this goal. Made a Mommy-do and Daddy-do list yesterday so hubby knows what he's gotta get done too.
I'm in amazement to be 25 weeks! only 15 to go and 12 more left at work. Amen!
I'm counting down the time left at work too! 7 weeks left at work for me! I feel fortunate to be having a summer baby and school being out of session!
I'm 24 weeks today! Since so far I have always gone into preterm labor this is a milestone that helps ease my mind a little bit.
I get scanned every other week and yesterday the tech didn't warn me when she was getting some measurements.. I closed my eyes quick but I swear I saw boy. I haven't told anyone else and maybe it was just the cord anyway. Oh well, I can't be sure.
Hope you had a wonderful anniversary @PitaKat
I'm also quite jealous of you ladies counting down your work weeks!
Hi ladies Im glad to hear everyone is doing well. Im 25 weeks today. I had a prenatal appointment yesterday. Also sis my glucose test. So far I have only gained 7lbs Im very happy about that. Also about 2 weeks ago I started to get migraines similar to the ones I got my last pregnancy that I ended up with preeclampsia. Im a little nervous about that. Baby is super active I feel her move all the time
Wow! I have gained like 16 lbs. I just can't help it. I am so hungry! How did your glucose test go? Mine is this Tuesday. Fingers crossed you don't have preeclampsia!
JJB2, I gained only 6 pounds and sometimes i worry about it, but my fundal height is measuring on point and my doctor said it's fine, i think i will be one of those women who put on weight after delivery! :lol:
Did they test your urine for protein at the appointment? I hope it is not preeclampsia.
So my glucose test was normal the result was 100 so that was good. My fundal height is also measuring right on. Im overweight so not gaining to much weight is what we want.
They have been checking my urine for protein and everything looks good. My bd is a little higher that normal but still in the good range. With my last pregnancy I started with headaches and bp going up little by little around 19ish weeks I was getting preeclampsia tests done every week and everything was stable (normal) until 31 weeks then everything went down hill quick in matter of 2-3 days bp super high a lot of protein in my urine and my kidney and liver levels were horrible blood count was low I stared to develop HELLP syndrome, it was bad. I am hoping and praying none of that happens this time.
Glad to hear your sugar levels were normal. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything else stays normal!
