Beach Bump Graduates!

Aaaahhhhhh.... Both my boys are asleep and I have some peace and quiet! This is the first time i've been able to sit down and catch up on everyone's news! And what a luxury to type with both hands! LOL

Hann - big hugs for the lack of sleep, Im not quite sure how you're managing it and still being able to come on here and sound vaguely sane! Big hugs, i hope you manage to get some sleep soon and that the colief does the job...

Mel - enjoy the dinner out tonight, hope the babies behave! My HV was really nice too, very friendly and down to earth.

[Which is more than can be said for the community midwives who all seem to be idiots. One of them last week launched into a speech about how alternating between BM and formula was "the worst possible scenario because all the goodness of the BM was being undone by the formula". Can you believe that?! Paul actually had a proper go at her because what she was saying made no sense whatsoever, and she couldn't back it up with any fact or research!]

Linds - thanks for posting the pic of Kinley. She is just beautiful... I am really thinking of her and Britt.

Emee - thanks for your birth story. I'm sorry it was so eventful - give it a few more days to settle and hopefully you'll start to feel more human again. You're lucky the induction worked for you and it seemed to work quite quickly. Lovely pics, Jaycob is a cutie.

Curlew - great for Logan's weight gain! Isn't it funny how we congratulate each other on our LO's weight gain and on our own weight loss?!

Claire - glad to hear N is projectiling less now, i'm so pleased you found something that works for you as it must have been so upsetting...

BV - good job on getting out of the house. I keep saying i'm going to, but i've hardly been out much at all. It's raining today too which doesn't help..

Caz - your MIL sounds like a star! you are very lucky. Hope Ajay is sleeping a bit better.

AFM, Paul and i went for our 3 year anniversary dinner last night to a lovely local fusion asian restaurant, while my mum and dad watched Leo. Apparently he was very well behaved - took his bottle of EBM and then slept the entire time. So my mum and dad have unwittingly offered to look after him again as it was so easy! Paul and I love going out for dinner and weren't able to much during the pregnancy as I was sick for most of it, so we'll def take them up on that!

Hi all,

sorry I haven't been on- I'll try and catch up soon.

Naomi's urine test had to be re-done yesterday, her bloods were fine so that's good- I'm hoping she'll be ok- the stupid doctor scarred the crap out of me on the phone and made out like I should rush her down! Ugh... They think it may be some sort of infection but surely if her bloods came back ok then I have nothing to worry about?

Anyway- I promise not to be self-centred and will catch up but I'll probably be lurking instead for a few days when I can- My Dad was taken into hospital yesterday too with an angina attack so I'm trying to take care of things for my mum as she's at the hospital with him all day today.

Hope all Mummies and babies are well :)
xxx

:hugs: Doods, when it rains it pours, sorry to hear about your dad, hope he's recovering well. Sounds like N is fine and they are just covering themselves. Silly them for scaring you like that! If her bloods are fine then i'm sure whatever it is, it's nothing major.

It's been a while since I managed to post, but I've been reading along! Can't remember too much at the moment but the picture of Kinley is beautiful. I hope she's doing ok! doods, hope the tests come back good on Naomi.

Afm, Katie is 11lbs, 3oz as of last Monday and she's starting to sleep for 3-4 hour chunks at night (though she's giving me more trouble going to sleep!) yesterday she napped for three solid hours so I managed to get the house cleaned up and make chicken corn noodle soup and chocolate cupcakes all from scratch - havent been able to do that since before I was pregnant! Seems like our thrush has gone away too now!

doodles - sorry to hear about your dad, hope he gets better soon. hope naomi's urine results come back clear.

mummyss - glad u and paul had nice dinner out.

bv - looking vforward to seeing pictures of jillian in her halloween costume, bet she will be so cute.

mel - hope harrisons weigh in goes well and u have a nice time out with your friends.

Hann - totally sypathise with the wind and lack of sleep. hopefully you will get some rest today.

topaz - hope all goes well at the docs and you manage to get something to help josh.

well logan was obviously being really nice to me on Tuesday night as he knew what he had in store for me last night - A total of 2 hours sleep - aaaargh. he had cronic wind and just wouldn't settle poor soul. He finally did the most enormous farts at 8am and has been sleeping and feeding well since then but of course I can't sleep as I have josh to look after too. Im like a walking zombie lol. Logan has an appt at the hospital at 4pm for an ultrasound on his hips due to my history of hip dysplasia. DH has left work early to take us as \i don't feel safe enough to drive with the boys in the car.

Curlew - are annabelle and Logan conspiring together?! Seems like we are in sync!
Let's hope we have better nights on store for us!

Doods - sorry to hear about your dad, hope you are okay! Hopefuly naomi's results will be perfect :hugs:

Beth - sounds like you have had a great day!! So productive!

Doods - sorry about your Dad and the tests on Naomi. Hope things improve for you.

Curlew - sorry for your lack of sleep. You and Han have had terrible nights. How do you both cope? I feel like poo without sleep and just call my MIL to help while I sleep. I feel like a bad mum sometimes doing it as I should do it all myself but it helps me cope.

AFM - mum and dad over today which was lovely. Really enjoying spending time with them. Had good nap for hour and a half. Ajay has been sleepy all day so who knows what is in store tonight for us!!!

Hello ladies,

doods - hope your dad is feeling better soon - as a fellow heart problem sufferer I can completely sympathise with him....glad Naomi's bloods came back clear, hope the urine test is the same :)

My Dad dropped a chisel on his foot yesterday and almost lost his baby toe - 17 stitches...it is amazing how much you need that baby toe to keep you balance!

mummyss - glad you enjoyed your dinner out with hubby. glad leo was good for his granny and grandpa, it makes it so much easier to go out doesn't it...

Hann and Curlew - hope Annabelle and Logan have good nights tonight and that both of you get a good stretch of sleep...

SB - glad to hear that Katie is sleeping more during the night - it makes such a difference doesn't it...11lbs 3oz, that is great :)

topaz - hope things go well at docs

AFM - I almost hate to type this, but Hailey is sleeping through the night and has been for the past few weeks or so. She has been falling asleep around 10:30 and yesterday she slept till 7:30 (9hrs!) and today it was 6:30 (8hrs!) the key is for me to go to bed at 10:30 too, but I never seem to do it, it usually get to bed about 11:30. I am not complaining - it is great and she is doing so well.

I am almost exclusively breastfeeding now too! She still gets one formula bottle at night - last feed- but she doesn't always take it, or only takes an ounce or so....

We have booked our flights and will be in the UK in September, hope the chaos is sorted by then...

We are at the docs tomorrow - can't wait to see what weight and height she is...

Hope you all have good evenings and nights :)

gw you give me hope that sleep will happen! Hailey is 5 weeks older so hopefully by then Annabelle will sleep too! You sound like you are doing great!

GW - oh my goodness!!! Hailey is amazing - I want her to teach Ajay how to sleep. At 2 months that is great - I wish for those days! xx

Been to docs and he wants me to take josh to hospital cos he has a temp.

Oh Topaz - hope everything is ok. Thinking of you, big hugs xx

Curlew, hope Logan has a better night tonight, you deserve some sleep!

Beth, great that Katie is sleeping better and the thrush has gone, great that she is putting on weight too!

Doodles, hope Naomis urine comes back ok, great that her bloods have:thumbup:

Simmy, glad you had a lovely evening out, i love having parents who want to babysit, my mum told me this moring that shes quite gutted Alan has had so much time off as we are coping too well without asking for her help! lol i told her she can help anytime!

GW, Great that Hailey is sleeping through the night! i hope Harrison is in the same position in a few weeks, does she sleep much during the day?

Hann, i hope you also get some decent sleep tonight, i dont know how you are managing it!

AFM we managed to get Harrison off to sleep at 8 last night, he slep till 1130 then fed at 330 and again at 7 although he took a long time to settle after the 330 feed.
Hes been awake most of today though and i have had to deal with the most awful poo it got all over him, his clothes everywhere and i was almost in tears dealing with it! we had to put him in the bath!

Got weighed today hes now a whopping 9lb 6oz so put on 1lb 6oz since birth which is great, hes on 70th pecentile whatever that means.
Alan let me have a nap this afternoon which was lovely and we are going for a meal with friends shortly.

Tomorrow we are spending the day with my parents and staying the night, mum has offered to do the night feeds i might take her up on that!

Topaz - hope Josh is alright :)

As for Hailey's sleeping - she is the oldest of the babies so hopefully your littl'uns will follow in her footsteps! She is awake a lot during the day - almost always awake from 6pm till bedtime and she is usually awake after first morning feeding. Cameron was also a great sleeper - he slept through the night at 5 weeks!

I hope when you read my post about the 8 and 9 hour sleeps, it gave you hope and not anger! LOL :)

Hope you all have a good evening and good nights!

Wow, 9 hour sleeps?! That sounds wOnderful, though I think my breasts would explode! Lol

Has anyone had problems with their baby's belly buttons? Katies is leaking yellow goo today. I have gauze on it now and am taking her to the doctor when DH comes home. It's one thing after the other around here! First my possibly broken tailbone, then food poisoning and thrush, and now this!

GW - def gave me hope so don't worry at all! I took hope that Ajay might sleep longer soon!

Beth - we haven't had an issue with his belly button but the HV said that we should keep it dry and keep the nappy away from it so that it doesn't irriate it too much. So sorry that you've had a few problems, hope the doctor can help! Big hugs. x

Had nice suprise, Neel came home with two of his friends and we sat out in the garden with Ajay and had a drink. Was really nice and 'normal' - sometimes I feel like we don't do anything normal and it was nice to have some visitors and for them to meet Ajay.

thanks every one, we are home now, think the gp was really playing it safe.

they think he has a viral infection and we are joining the thrush brigade so have treatment for that.
