Beach Bump Graduates!

Morning all,

SB good to hear from you and glad you're starting to feel a bit more positive. I love the hats! And congrats to Katie for walking, it's so cute to see them toddling around isn't it!

Hann that's a shame that gregs work needs him to be out so much in the evenings. I always find this forum a real comfort when paul's away (and other times too of course), I feel like I have company in the evenings!

Maria, we're going to have to head to peppa pig world sometime soon, Leo's obsessed with it! He calls it "peeka pig", so cute.

Mel enjoy softplay. You shouldn't feel bad as you're still taking H to all his groups etc. I just figure we're never going to be able to give our kids the undivided attention that we're used to giving them once the babies come along, so I figure they'll be fine and they'll learn to accept that as a new norm.

Aww bless H with his second pair of shoes. No joke but Leo is already in a size 6, he has massive feet!

AFM managed the nursery drop off ok this morning. Leo was up at about 4am chatting away for about an hour (he does this quite often - it's annoying as it wakes us up, but it's so cute as he repeats all his words that he knows). But it meant that he ended up sleeping til 8.30 which I appreciated!

Good sleep from Leo!
I know what you mean about evenings in and having you all around, makes it easier. I know Greg has to do what he has to do too though as we need to keep the money coming in!

Maria - think we'll have to check out peppa pig world too at some point!

Just been to playgroup, it's nice as she gets out and mixes but it always irritates me the way that some if the children and mums behave. They snatch toys off each other, push other LOs over and the mum just stands by and watches and says nothing. It's even children younger than Annabelle so it's not an age thing. Some mums just let them run riot too busy reading/on their phones/chatting to care what they are doing. It makes me so proud of my little girl because she's not like that, though it does mean that she tends to get her toys taken away from her or pushed over!

J is obsessed with Peppa too, and Thomas. Will definitely head to paul tons park at some point this year. Are there things for ones of our age to do Maria?

Mel, yep finally got my butt in gear and finished my bag! Bound to have forgotten something but never mind!

Just done Asda, am shattered now but want to try and take J to feed the ducks while the sun is actually out!

Simmy just seen you're at 18 weeks! What dates your scan? I'm excited about the big gender reveal!

Georgie there's a few rides they can go on- have a look on their website, it's quite good. I think it's really good there :)

Scan is exactly this time next week! (they have me on 19 weeks so it's a week earlier than it should be, i'm not complaining though!). Cant wait to find out... But more than anything I just want to see that everything's ok.

Maria, Have heard good things about peppa pig world too, its a bit far for us though. We have annual passes for the zoo, which is a godsend when the weather is ok as its a cheap day out and H loves it.

He had a lovely time at soft play, there was a person dressed up as a lion dancing and singing songs and it was like all his christmas's had come at once, he kept kissing and high fiving this lion! So cute!

Simmy, wow size 6 that is big! lol! Glad Leo slept till 830, that must feel nice! lol:shrug:

Hann, Ahh, Greg needs to do what he needs to do re bringing cash in, i hope you didnt feel like i was critisizing, i didnt mean it to come accross like that, and as you said, its what allows you to not have to work which is great.

Georgie, hope you got out to feed the ducks!

After a bit of protest have finally got H down for a nap, so just done an online shop and now chillaxing, Alan will be home in an hour too woo hoo!

No not at all Mel, I know gregs job is hard to understand because of the social aspect, it sounds like he's choosing to do it but he kind of has to so it to make money. It's hard, on him too as he gets less time with his babies :(
Your morning sounds fun!

Simmy I am soooo excited! Especially as its only a week away! I think I'm so excited because we didn't find out I'm living my gender excitement through you! I wonder what it will be?!!! I'm sure everything will be fine :)

My little monkey spends all the time kicking my cervix so it must have changed position again, bloody uncomfortable! I forgot how annoying cervix kicks were!

Simmy, im really excited too! woo hoo!!
Hann, i have no idea what way this baby is now, i seem to get kicked all over the place most noticably last night under my left hip which wasnt pleasant at all! Im not a huge fan of all this movement, reassuring yes but feels weird!!

All I get at the moment is cervix and bladder kicks! I actually had a dream that I was in labour and forgot my tens machine, and every contract was actually the baby kicking my cervix (I realised as I was waking up!) not pleasant!

SB that's great about Katie - she sounds adorable! I love the hats too - you are so good with all the crafty/arty things, I think it's a lovely thing to be able to do. I'm so glad you are doing okay, I know it's a long road to be on but if you ever need us we are here.
Have you knitted Katie a hat? Would love to see a photo of her in one! :)

Thank you! Funny enough, Katie actually hates hats and won't wear any even though I made her so many. Early last year I got her to wear a few of them for some blurry pictures, but ever since she won't even give me that. Silly girl, I learned how to crochet JUST for her, so I could make her pretty hats and scarves and blankets. She doesn't like any of them! :haha:

I have a few pictures from back then though, I think she's just adorable in hats even if she doesn't!

Morning all

SB, Great to see you back and so glad you are feeling better, the little hats look so cute and its lovely that you are doing them for charity. I can only imagine what you have gone through, im glad you are getting stronger though and hope things continue to look up for you!:hugs:

:hugs: Thank you!

Nice to hear from you SB, glad you're doing a bit better. It must be incredibly hard- I think it's amazing that you're helping the charity by making those lovely hats. I saw your pics of Katie's hair on FB- it's amazing! It reminds me of Holly's hair at that age :)

Isn't it crazy hair? LOL! It finally stopped sticking completely straight up off her head (her waking up was always very funny from the state of her hair) and now it seems to be changing a lot. It's getting even curlier, and a lighter blonde or copper. Can't wait to see how it looks in the summer when we spend our days at the park and in the pool!

Morning all,

SB good to hear from you and glad you're starting to feel a bit more positive. I love the hats! And congrats to Katie for walking, it's so cute to see them toddling around isn't it!

Yes it is! Can't wait until she's more stable, but it's awfully cute to see her do her slow walk. She gets SO proud of herself!

Gorgeous photos SB! She looks really cute in them - and she's bound to start liking hats again soon :)

Wow there's been a lot of posts since I last logged in!

Ooh Simmy am also excited to find out what you're having? Do you have a feeling what it might be?

SB - love the hats! Sorry to hear your news, I didn't know :nope: Hope you're ok :hugs:

Hann I know what you mean about other kids being mean and the parents not doing anything! I take Elliot to messy play and if he goes over to play with some others they've often pushed him away before! So heartbreaking. I told one boy it's not nice to push which I wouldn't normally do but his mum didn't even notice as she was on her phone!

Elliot is also in shoe size 6! Do you all get their shoes from Clarks? I still do but I think next time i'll try the supermarket ones and see if they're any good.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I don't have much work at the moment which is frustrating as obviously don't earn anything if I don't work. I miss having a regular income but I am grateful to be able to work from home!

Lovely pics SB! Katie is such a cutie!

Hann, other children really annoy me, Harrison is really placid he interacts lovely with other children and doesnt bat an eye lid if one takes a toy off him or anything like that. At soft play the other week there were some older children in the young kids area who shouldnt have been there and this one horrible kid went right up to his face and stuck his tongue out in a really horrible way, H was fine but i was straight in there and moaned at the dad who was meant to be supervising that this kid shouldnt be in there, maybe im too over protective but my little lad isnt like that to others so dont like him to have to take it.

Becs, yes still in Clarks here, think we will stay with them too, im a little anal about incorrect fitting shoes, so i think Harrisons main shoes will be from clarkes for a few years yet. Would still buy others like maybe sandels from other places and his wellies are next. Plus he lives in slippers at home from Asda but they are only soft.

Had cous cous for tea, H absolutly loves it! And its a good way to get veg into him as he just eats whatever i put in it!

That's good Mel, wish I could get Annabelle to eat cous cous or veg! She had waffles lol!

I feel the same about the poor parenting at these things. In fairness it's not the child fault if they act that way, they haven't probably been taught differently. It's just annoys me how they are essentially ignored. It makes me feel sad for Annabelle when they push her or take things from her because she is little and she doesn't understand. Just went to this friends this afternoon and her 2 year old kept hitting Annabelle. The mum was straight in there pulling her off and saying no but I still felt sad for her. I also feel sad when she for example goes on the bouncy castle to play with the other kids and they all get off when she goes on. They aren't getting off because of her obviously but she looks all sad as she loves being with the other children! I'm so soft I know!!!

it is really heartbreaking watching them sometimes isnt it coz as you say they dont really understand, i think we feel it a lot more than them though!

We did go and feed the ducks, but it was a bit of a disaster! We got near the water and just got mobbed by everything other than ducks....and I am petrified of birds especially when they flap. I was surrounded by geese at one point! I literally threw the bread on the floor and walked away as quick as possible, Josh thought it was hilarious!!!

Hi girls

I've not been on for the last few days sorry. Trying to catch up!

Georgie that's hilarious about the ducks! Well done you for trying I hate geese too evil things! It's your birthday this weekend isn't it? And let us know if bubba makes a move!

Han - I agree with the others about Greg he needs to pull his weight more. I know it's work but regardless of the fact that you are pregnant (which means he should do more!) he should be helping more. Weirdly I was with the NCT girls last night and we were talking about the same thing!

Mel - how is it being off work? Hope little Harrison is good.

Bec - Ajay is in clarks shoes. His slippers are from next but I think I will stick wit clarks. I j ow they are pricey but they seem good quality.

SB lovely to hear from you and those hats are sooooo cute!

Simmy - hope Paul is home now and helping out. Can't wait to know the sex of the baby :)

Have I forgotten anyone? I hope not :)

All good here - work college etc etc. both Ajay and I have a horrible cold and I feel like poo. Am hoping to rest up this weekend as its hit me quite hard :( let's hope we both get better soon. Ajay seems to cope with it remarkably well bless him!

Hope you feel better soon - rubbish being sick at the weekend!

Well morning was manic and gregs now gone. Before he went he managed to 'fit in' a 30 min Skype to his mum who rambled on about nothing for all that time! Seriously annoyed me so I had a real go at him including swear words which I never do! It annoyed me so much that we had no time together this morning and yet he still wasted 30 mins on her when 10 would have been sufficient grrr. I think he knows exactly how I feel now! He looked like a naughty school boy and me the teacher telling him off though! So not the best start to the weekend! Stupid mil - thing is it makes me resent her even more!!

Oh no Han. Why does she need to skype so often? I speak to my parents usually every day but I just put the phone to Ajay's ear. They probably don't even know what skype is but it's not like your MIL has to see her...... So glad you told Greg. One of NCT girls said that one night she was so upset that she wrote a letter to her husband about how she was feeling and since he has really pulled his socks up and is helping lots more.

Neel has been great so far today. He took Ajay to the supermarket where they got the weekly shop and I stayed at home and just chilled out. He offered not to go to football but I'm hardly dying so I said he should go as Ajay is asleep now and then we will probably just pop down to the park or something. So glad he is being supportive! x
