Beach Bump Graduates!

Mel how are you feeling? Hopefully it's prob just general pregnancy bloatedness. You should be fine hun but yes I can see how now would be a BAD time!

Caz love a bit f girls aloud, sounds v fun!

Hann theyl grey carrycot is a good option too, I think it'll look great, plus I agree the b&w one was way too expensive. I remember we spent around £100 on tr carrycot for Leo's iCandy, and he absolutely hated being in it!! So not really worth spending loads for the amount of time they'll be in it.

Had a lovely day today, we went to Ealing to mooch round the shops, we let Leo run around in the park and went to nandos, he demolished a nandinos meal - takes after his mummy! I'm absolutely shattered now and feeling very sick but it was worth it! Tomorrow we've got the twins' 3rd birthday party at Gambado so I think I'll get an early night (although clearly I wont - ill be posting on here at midnight! Lol)

Thanks Georgie i like Sainsburys nappies for H too actually.

Hann/Caz/Simmy, thanks i know im probably sounding a bit paranoid but you know how it is, gonna have a nice warm bath shortly. Been cramping all day but probably just more prominant BH, discharge hasnt increased or anything.

Simmy, glad you had a nice day today , im also shattered, I let Alan have a well deserved lay in this morning, think that means i can have one tomorrow guilt free! Although there is a baby/childrens sale i would like to go to if we can get sorted early enough

Not a very productive day here, went to feed the ducks, H loves it so much bless him and best of all its free! Hes getting so much better at wanting to walk on his own now and doesnt want to be carried all the time so thats a relief, hes also finally brave enough to go DOWN the stairs, previously would only go up so thats another great thing especially when new baby arrives. Think Alan wants to watch skyfall tonight, which is fine but il probably fall asleep lol x

Glad you are okay Mel - it's only natural to worry when it's not the right time to give birth - would be typical if it did happen but stats are on yours side and hopefully it's just the baby have a good stretch and push down on your cervix and bladder and getting easy to get out, but not quite yet!

Simmy - Mmm nandos - funnily enough Greg just called from the stag do to say he is in the queue for nandos and its 1.5 hours! I know nandos is good but I wouldn't wait for it!! Hope tomorrow goes well too and not too tiring!

Greg is back from the stag, he hasn't looked this bad since his own stag. He's had to go straight upstairs to bed. He is destroyed! Why do men do it?!!

Lol @ Greg Hann, sounds like he had a good weekend! Hope you had a nice weekend too at your parents.

Hope everyone else has had nice weekends too. We have had a quiet one, went to a mother/baby toddler sale type thing this morning, it wasnt 2nd hand stuff, more like gift type things but i got some nice handmade dribble bibs and a nice new pram blanket for new baby.
In other news, i have really swollen up in my hands and face the last couple of days as well as BH and crampy and genrally feeling pretty crap (even more so than normal lol ) I went to my nsh walk in centre this morning which also happens to be my GP surgery but there was over a 2 hour wait so i went home and called the ante natal unit, well have left them 2 messages and they STILL havent got back to me so not impressed!
Anyway, i ended up going back to the walk in centre this evening where i saw a doctor, turns out im not imagining it, i have protein in my urine for 1st time ever and my blood pressure is rising considerably now. Have got to do another urine sample in the morning where they will check the protein again and they are also checking for water infections.
So we are now on pre eclampsia alert and ive got to "rest" ha ha what a joke.
Not good timing for my parents to be away, am not gonna tell them though as they will only worry and the last thing i want is to ruin their holiday.

Mel thats terrible about the hospital - funnily enough it sounds just like my hospital! Glad you saw a doctor though. I know you had high BP last time, hopefully you'll hang on for another 10 days. If it helps there is a girl on my May group that has been diagnosed with pre eclampsia already at 29 weeks, shes got seriously high BP and keeps blacking out, but the hospital just told her they would monitor her and if it continues then she'd have the baby a bit earlier - probably 38 weeks. Hopefully even if you officially get it you'll last until 38 weeks. If you need to vent etc then you know where we are. Hope Alan is helping out loads over the next 10 days xx

Thanks Hann, think i said before Alan has taken a few extra days off over next couple of weeks to help me out anyway, hes worried now, ive told him not too, need to wait for results of this next urine test and then seeing MW fri, and consultant next week so whatever happens im going to be monitored regularly until the birth now. I think the worst that will happen now is they will section me earlier than 39 weeks, but will see what happens.

He's bound to worry bless him. Greg was a state when I was having the really low blood pressure but thankfully those 'episodes' are getting much less! If they do section you early hopefully they won't do it before 37 weeks and FX your parents are back then. Its scary when its stuff you can't control isn't it! I have to say I felt the same when they told me to be on bed rest - completely impractical with a toddler! At least low blood pressure isn't dangerous for the baby, was just horrible for me. I totally understand why you are so worried. Again, wish I lived closer :(

Awww thanks Hann, i wish we all lived closer! i think we would all be great friends (as in not just on here) if we did! Its so hard isnt it. My parents get back just before i turn 37 weeks so i will beg them to not do anything till then, even if i have to stay in hospital!

Mel - poor you, your hospital sounds so rubbish, that's awful. Glad they have helped though at the NHS clinic and they have found the problem - although saying rest doesn't really help I guess!

Han - blimey greg must be ruined! Neel would be the same though... I bet we'd never get that bad, but guys seem to be able to!

Simmy - mmmmmm Nando's. Jealous!

So we've had a busy weekend - went to friends today for a friend's son's 2nd birthday party,we ate loads and they had a bouncy castle so Ajay went crazy on there. He only napped for 30 minutes today so he was cranky from about 4 pm so we had to drag out his playing until bedtime. Plus we have made some progress on builders as we think we've found one subject to a final quote and seeing some of his previous projects. He was recommended from a close colleague of Neel's so we have a good recommendation which is good. x

That's great Caz, having someone recommended is great. We used an idiot to do our plastering but he had great reviews on check a trade - he was rubbish. Personal reviews are definitely the way to go!

Mel - how are you doing this morning? Hope you had an early night and a big sleep!

Sad to see Greg leave for work this morning, just barely seen him in the past week and now he's at work for te next 5 days. :(
Annabelle was up at 6.30 again this morning - perils of lighter mornings. Off to monkey music later but no plans for the afternoon yet.
Hope you all have a nice day!

Morning all

Hann, i can imagine you are sad at Greg leaving for work as you have hardly seen him, hope hes got his next few weekends free to spend time with you and Annabelle.

Caz, wow i dont know how you manage such busy weekends lol! The recomendation is great though, always very reassuring!

AFM, Im ok, think i slept ok, its difficult to tell this early in them morning as i always feel grot and takes me a while to get going. Alan is here for the majority of today as he has a docs appointment and my parents are popping in late moring on their way to the airport.
My 24 urine sample has gone in marked "urgent" so will be anxiously be awaiting the results of those.
Oh and just had a call from the hospital! Slightly delayed, the MW was very apologetic that no one got back to me and told me if it happens again to ring the delivery suite (which on the recorded message says to do in an emergency) so id feel a bit weird about that! But hey ho will see what happens this week. Im feeling realy anxious as i feel its all a bit up in the air now, im a planner and like to know what is happening and when! Think im gonna have to tell a couple of my friends on the off chance that i need last minute childcare help if i need monitoring or anything like that. We shall see!

Hope this afternoon goes okay Mel, thinking of you.

Just to second Han Mel, hope the results are ok. xxxx

Working from home today and feeling really productive which is wonderful! x

Only just seen you posts Mel, hope everything came back ok?

Hi Mel, any news on the results? Hope all goes ok xx

Caz, sounds like a busy weekend, that's great that you've managed to find a builder for the work. Sounds like your day is going far more productively than mine!

AFM still knackered from the party yesterday at Gambado. My sis had hired out the entire thing which was great. Leo went absolutely CRAZY with excitement, his little heart was racing the whole time. He wasn't remotely interested in playing in the toddler area, just wanted to go on the big kid stuff, and run around in all the sectioned off areas like staff area and kitchen. Paul and I couldn't keep up with him! He had fun though and the twins had a whale of a time (they were dressed up as Ben & Holly and looked adorable).

Mels text me from the hospital, blood pressure has gone up a bit and still got proteins in her samples. They haven't got the results back yet. She's waiting for blood work, might be a while. She's okay though. Will let you know if I hear any more :)

Just saw your post Mel - lol was just updating anyway - will continue to do so x
