Beach Bump Graduates!

My mum has got bronchitis so not seen her in a week and she's still not better, man have I missed her help this week!!

Julie - sorry that you're unwell. Really hope Maisie doesn't get it. Hugs to you.

Han - such sad news about your BNB friend, poor her that is totally horrific. I know it's a small percentage chance but it is still worrying. Such sad news.

Mel - glad you're resting today. How about soft play for H as he could run around and exhaust himself?! Are your parents away now?

Simmy - bless your folks they are so sweet. Are you managing to get any work done? I bet in a good way you'll be glad to be full term and have your wonderful baby girl to get rid of this sickness and get back to being you :)

Maria - wow, she is so advanced! That's amazing, bless Holly.

As for us, all is well here. Had a tough day at work so feeling a bit rattled by that but off tomorrow so we will go to toddler group and generally relax and have cuddles. Neel's parents have asked to collect Ajay from nursery at about 3-4 pm every friday. I didn't want to bore you guys with it but Neel and I had a row on Thursday about it as they didn't ask me, just asked Neel despite me asking them to ask me as I collect him from nursery on a Friday. But it does mean that we don't have to spend time with them over the weekend so we're going to try it out. In-laws hey?!?!

Oh hann how heartbreakingly sad... Reminds me of our Kelz and baby Evan (although i know that situation was slightly different). At least i guess it keeps us on alert - i never relax and think everything's fine any more.

Caz - your inlaws?!!! blimey, why do they want to collect him early every week? If my parents had a day that they didn't have to do grandkid duties they'd be thrilled! Does it truly mean you wont have to see them at the weekend or will they creep that in too? Well i hope it works out ok. Def off of them to go to Neel about it though and not ask you directly.

Georgie, how's things - i see from FB that joshy is still unwell, poor thing. At least he's eating his macaroni cheese! I can understand how much you must be missing your mum this week...

Thanks Simmy. I just felt they were all making decisions without me which was like it was 18 months ago. I think we may well see them on weekends but there will be less pressure I hope. I'm trying to be reasonable but in my heart I do feel like I'm giving in all the time to whatever they or Neel wants. But who knows what the right thing to do is!

X

Thanks for the words about the loss - it is very sad, have to keep reminding myself its a very small number it happens to but at the same time I've been very thankful to feel my little kicks.

Caz - I'd have been annoyed too. It's not so much the end result but the fact that you were cut out of the decision, almost like they knew you wouldn't be happy so they decided not to even ask you! It's your day too. Why can't there be a compromise that they do it once every 2-3 weeks? It seems a bit much every week especially as you are paying for a full day. Next thing they'll be taking him out at lunch time!

Simmy - can't believe how much Paul is away, good thing your parents are close by! Hope he gets a break soon though!

Julie - hope you are feeling better - sounds awful!

Mel - how are you getting on? Any results yet?

Maria - yay for Holly! She's doing so well!

Georgie - hope that you have both of yours feeling better now!

Afm - Annabelle keeps waking up super early, we have blackout blind and curtains but the light is escaping at the top and she just assumes its get up time. It's so annoying! I think I'm going to get one of those gro blinds and see if that makes a difference. It's so annoying having to be up every day at 6/6.30!

Ballet this morning then meeting a friend to go to the park later. Think the lovely weather of yesterday has gone. Apparently it's going to rain fri- Monday here and then get cold again (4 degrees) tues and weds next week. Really wish the weather would stop going cold and just warm up a bit, it makes getting up and about so much nicer!!

6.20 am here too - yawn! And it's my day off :( never mind he is in a good mood so sure it will be fine. In laws said it would be occasionally to collect him but so far it's been both weeks since they said it. I've said to Neel that if its regular then Friday so be a half day..... We will see.

Mel hope you are ok with H today x

Morning all

Hann, so sad about your May buddy, it really makes me realise how lucky i am when i hear things like that no matter how much i moan about pregnancy! We had a 620am wakeup too, though didnt actually go in till 650am

Caz, thats so annoying about Neels parents, i agree with Hann, cant they do it every couple of weeks or so?

Simmy, Paul sure does go away an awful lot? Does he have a decent amount of time off when the baby comes?

Georgie, i feel for you with your mum being ill, it makes us realise how lucky we are to have them when they arent about!

AFM, Im ok, quite tired as didnt sleep well last night, me and H are going to soft play this moring, its quite a good one for me as i can pretty much sit down and see him whereever he goes, some of them i have to chase him about!
Alan at work but is looking at taking a few more extra days off over next couple of weeks to help out. Its not ideal but probably for the best
Hope everyone has a nice day.
Oh Hann, no results but im back at hospital tomorrow so see what they say then!

Oh Hann I'm so sorry about your friend, how awful :(
I hope you and Annabelle have a good time at ballet and the park.

Sorry to hear about your Mum Georgie! How are you and the children getting on?

Argh how annoying about your inlaws Caz! I hope you can work something out, I guess it's sweet that they want to be so involved but it must be quite suffocating for you!

I hope you have fun at the soft play Mel, that will be nice to have Alan home for a few days, have you got anything planned or just trying to get some rest? When are your parents back?

I'm staying in today to try and catch up on some things around the house as it's been a bit neglected where I've not been in much- so a fun day ahead for me lol! Holly has ballet after school so that will be nice and I'm picking up a gift certificate for my Mum for Mothers day, I thought she might like a massage as she's been so stressed lately.

Does anyone have anything planned for Mothers day? Martyn's working in the morning so I'll probably pop over to see my Mum then maybe head to Fishers farm for the afternoon as we've decided to go ahead and get membership as I think it's worth it, we'll still go to the other place too but this is much better.

I'll be honest...I'm struggling. Struggling with Josh's behaviour and how to deal with it. I don't want to put too much on here as it may be quite relevant to a few of us although I really hope not!
Going to try and get some advice from somewhere...

Georgie we might be able to help so please try us if we can x

Oh Georgie please share, you never know we may have some ideas and if nothing else you can prepare us for whats to come! x

Annabelles only managing smaller nap times at the moment which is (as you know) so annoying!! It means from the day when she's up at 6.30 she's ready to play for for 12 of those hours!! She's also waking up from nap times crying like she's been disturbed. Normally she'll wake and just play. I have a feeling it's to do with her tummy because she's been on loads of anti biotics it's taken effect in her :(
I miss my napping little girl though!! One hours rest in a day when I used to get later wake ups and longer naps is not enough!
Sorry rant over lol! I know you are all there with me on this! I will be crying when that nap disappears entirely, although hopefully it won't happen until she goes to preschool!

Hi ladies,

Oh Georgie please try us if you dont mind sharing, i'd far rather be prepared and hopefully we can be of some help!

Hann that's a shame as Annabelle's always been quite a good napper hasn't she? So how long does she sleep for? Some days Leo only has an hour the whole day, and some days if there are any interruptions to his routine he doesn't sleep at all! But i'm with you I completely am not looking forward to the day they drop the nap completely. The twins have recently dropped theirs and it's hard work - although i have to say by the age of 3 they are much better at being left to their own devices so we probably only have a year of difficulty. LOL that doesn't sound appealing does it?!

Maria hope you had a productive day getting stuff done - I sometimes enjoy days like that as it makes me feel more organised in my head, I hate falling behind on house stuff. Your plan for mothers day sounds nice too. Not sure what we're doing yet tbh!

Mel hope the softplay was good and not too tiring! It's nice if you find one where you dont have to chase them around too much.

AFM I think somebody asked but yes, Paul's travelling a lot now as he's trying to finish off some key projects in the early part of this year, so that he doesn't have to travel in the summer. July and August are very quiet months for him anyway so in a best case scenario he will be completely off for 2 months when the baby comes! So all the travel will be well worth it then.

Ah that's good Simmy - as long as he is around when your baby girl comes along, that's very sensible of him. He is forgiven!

Han - such a shame about Annabelle's naps. Ajay thankfully is still napping ok but his morning wake ups are getting more eratic. I can't really complain as it's not that bad but I too will be devastated when he drops the nap totally.... I can't imagine not having my hour or 90 minutes 'off''!

Had another lovely day with Ajay. Loads of fun, laughing, cuddles and saw a friend too which was good. Unfortunately my sister is in hospital again. You may remember that she lost feeling in her legs and went into hospital last January (actually you might not remember that!) and it has happened again so she is back in hospital and they are keeping her in overnight for an MRI tomorrow. Poor her, it's so worrying x

Oh no Caz how horrible for her, what was the diagnosis last time? I hope she's ok xxx

Thanks Simmy. They never found out what it was - she has a benign tumour in her brain which is always worrying but they have always said that it's nothing to do with that but we always fear the worst about that really. But this was over 13 months ago and since then she has been ok apart from a few blips so it's so sad that this is happening again. My other sister just called me and we think we're both going to leave work early tomorrow and drive up and see her. x

I hope she's okay Caz! That sounds scary - do they know what's causing it? So glad you had a lovely day with Ajay!

Simmy - that's good that Paul will be around so much when Sophia is born. Makes up for the away time now that's for sure!

Mel - how are you Hun? Thinking of you!

Maria - the farm sounds great as does your Mother's Day plans. Bet Holly gets you a cute card!

Georgie - thinking of you :hugs:

Ended up having a nice afternoon with Annabelle - just wish she slept more lol! My backs starting to play up though which is a tad annoying but not too painful yet which is the main thing.
Football tomorrow but no other plans. Apparently some bug is going around so I'm avoiding soft play for a while as Annabelle catches everything going at the moment!

Just saw your post Caz - really hope it's good news tomorrow x

Hann/Maria, is there any way you can copy the my post from GM onto here for the girls to see please? I can't do it on my phone and haven't got 5 mins to type again at the mo! Hope you don't mind me asking xx

Still reading along and will reply when I can. Much love girls xx
