Beach Bump Graduates!

Annoying men! Greg woke up this morning saying he isn't sure on our girls name choice!
For ages we debated names - mainly between Elize and Carrie, but then I thought we had settled on Caitlin Evie, but now he's decided he prefers Carrie. So we are back to the beginning with it all! I'm not 100% on it but not sure why - not sure what middle name would be either - possibly Olivia. Annoying!

Morning all

Simmy, Oh H is far from perfect lol! Hes throwing some cracking tantrums lately a bd half the time we cant even work out what the problem is, def terrible twos territory!
Glad you had a nice day yesterday!

Caz, H is still in a cot but we thought we would get him used to duvet and pillow before we put him in a bed so its not all at once. Im not ready for him to be climbing out of bed at night yet lol!

Hann, Boo to Greg over names! lol its typically a man thing though, Alan was actually the same over Lucas, but i was adament, just couldnt be doing with discussing it any more. Anyhow I love Olivia it goes nice with Carrie too.

Maria, how is Naomi now? Better I hope

Georgie, hope you are ok hun, any plans for the weekend?

Julie, hope V is staying put for you a bit longer!

AFM all ok here, Midwife has just beenm, she has signed us off to the health visitor who is coming wednesday. Lucas has put weight on and is up to 5lb 15oz (was 5lb 14 at birth, so is all good.
We are going to my parents later to spend a couple of nights there so that will be nice. Other than that not a lot else to report!
Did anyone ever have ELC sit me up cosy for their LOs? We are thinking of getting one for Lucas, they look lovely.

Hi Mel,
So glad that Lucas got the sign off, he is doing so well bless him. How is he sleeping?

Han - how annoying that Greg has changed his mind! I al;ready know the boys and cgirls name that I want but Neel said he can't decide - it's Amaya for a girl (think I told you that before) and Kush for a boy. Neel isn't sure about Kush though...... I love the namer Dhillon but Neel's sister loves that too so I don't want to take that from her in case they have kids too!

So we've had a good relaxing morning although we had a little argument about money. We're trying to really really save hard for the extension and I think it's too much and is compromising our happiness whereas Neel just wants to scrimp on everything. So we had a little debate about that - I hate talking about money it's such a horrble topic!

We have friends over later with their son who just turned two and they are staying tonight so we're makng Thai food for them and hope to open a bottle of bubbles as well - no occassion, just because! x

I hate conversations about money, my heart sinks when Greg gets the credit card bill out! It's so depressing as we have barely anything now I'm not working. I feel for you!
I love your name choices by the way!

Mel - yay to being signed off! Hope you have fun at your parents. I did laugh when I read that Facebook update about you filling the car - and if I recall you have a big car! Hope you have fun!

I think after some debate the front running name is now Carrie Alyssa. We wanted a pretty middle name to go with Carrie as I feel like Carrie is pretty but not as girlie as Annabelle whereas Caitlin would be as pretty I think. Plus Alyssa is after the Alyssum flower which I like as I wanted a connection to my dad and he is very into flowers and gardening etc so think he'd appreciate that. I didn't want to use his name as its Anthony which obv for a girl would be Antonia which not sure about, although Carrie Antonia actually sounds quite nice on reflection lol!!

Just got the baby clothes out of the attic and half are in the wash now. Seriously they are small, especially the tiny baby stuff! Only washing 2 sleepsuits of tiny baby though!
In other news Annabelle hads had no nap again today arghhh!

Mel, I had a sit me up cosy for josh, it wasn't worth the full price IMO. He soon learnt to launch over the side and tip himself out of it! Then it's not that useful in supporting them sitting because they just slip down. Just my opinion!
I'm after a nice playmat. My sister has a fab one that's got 'sides' so its a bit enclosed in a way....just thought it might offer her some protection from her brother! Can't justify the £60 new though!

My parents have had josh today and he was meant to be staying there over night but mum just called to say he's not well so she's going to bring him back. No good him getting upset there for me reason, not like I was going anywhere anyway!
Off to a nearly new sale in the morning then hopefully to see a friend, nothing planned for Monday at the mo.

Hope your all having a lovely weekend xx

Maybe you'll find a good playmat at the nearly new sale? Hope so!

I'd never heard of the ELC sit me up cosy but just had a look and cans see what Georgie means about the potential to slip down unfortunately...

Hi girls,

Late night for me as we have friends over and we have had a lovey meal and a great chat. Their son gets on so well with Ajay it's lovely and it's so nice having them here.

Damn it though I forgot about the clocks going back :( sigh

Han - I love the name Carrie Antonia I think that's beautiful. But I do love the name Antonia as one of my best friends is called that!

Georgie is j ok? Hope he is poor chap. Hope you manage to have a nice relaxing rest of the weekend.

Right off to bed now ... Very late for me! x

Only got a minute but Josh was and is fine! He must have just been missing me! Xx

Just had my 34 week appointment, measuring 2 weeks behind, blood pressure good at 92/58 and baby is 3/5 engaged!! Wasn't expecting it to be that engaged at this stage but that's good I guess! She said that she detected a level of protein in my urine but she was sure it was fine so she didn't even write it on my notes, have another appointment in 2 weeks though so hopefully it will be gone then! Weird she wasn't bothered but maybe it's because the level was so small and my blood pressure so good?! Who knows! Either way its all looking good for now and on schedule! I've got my 40 week sweep booked in for 14th may so that might get things moving.
I'm having a baby next month!!!

Wow next month Han, that's awesome! So glad the appointment went well.

All good here - we've been with my family today which was lovely and now making tea for Ajay. Not looking forward to work tomorrow though, got so much to do! x

Ooooh Hann exciting!

Hann and Fi, advice please, the Rose and Rebellion carriers on offer on Zulily today, am very tempted, any opinions or experience? Looks not dissimilar to my Ergo although if i get one will probably sell the Ergo.

Will update properly later, its the mad rush before bedtime!

Not had either ergo or R&R but it looks like a good deal (was really tempted to get one but we have a manduca and I have 6 wraps so no need!) Only thing with the R&R is that it only lasts til about a year from what I've heard (being supported knee to knee), but they are pretty, and it's a good price!

I can't add any more than Fi - I know that they are meant to be good but aren't as long lasting as a Manduca/Ergo/Boba for example.

Still having debates about our girls name choice! I went through 1500 names from the 2011 baby names and came up with a shortlist which Greg has narrowed down to:

Caitlin Alyssa - like it but worry about the various ways of spelling Caitlin
Carrie Alyssa - like it but not sure if Carrie is as pretty as Annabelle? Also someone I asked said that it doesn't sound like a 'professional, adult name'
Alyssa Rose - like it but its same initial as Annabelle which could be confusing.
Alyssa with another middle name

What do you think??

It's so hard Han - Alyssa is lovely though. Caitlin is very popular but don't let that put you off..... How about Aoife which is a very Irish name but so pretty?

Urgh more arguments with Neel about money :( so depressing and it makes me feel like a child. It's awful but I so resent buying this house as we are draining our finances to do this work and we are literally going to the extremes financially to do this. It's horrible for both of us and I hate rowing about money :( another evening ruined and its not his fault or mine it's just horrible:(

I know how you feel Caz as we are really short too, it makes me feel panicky when I think about it. I hope you sort things out with Neel tonight, it's no fun feeling like that!

Thanks for your input on the names, can't believe how hard it is!!

Oh and I love Aoife, was my first choice for ages but Greg thinks its too Irish when we have an Irish surname :(

Hann, I really like Caitlyn Alyssa its so pretty.

Caz, sorry to hear you and Neel have been rowing, money is never a fun subject. Hope you can sort it tonight.

AFM We have been at my parents last couple of days, well today we went to a spring craft/garden show but it was freezing. We didnt get much sleep last night as Lucas was quite unsettled, appeared to be constipation bless him, he didnt go all night up till around 330pm today but he seems a lot better since.
Harrison is good but we are getting a real taste of the terrible twos at the moment. he is so willful! And since his teething issues a couple of weeks ago hes not been eating well at all. Need to get that sorted again real soon.

Am still thinking about this carrier, Ive managed to convince Alan we would get good money for the Ergo plus the other carrier I have.
Im also trying to upload about a zillion photos from the last 6 months onto the computer so i can order some for albums, im so behind on my pics and am desperate for some of Lucas around the house!

Hann -- I like Caitlin and Carrie as first names more than Alyssa. :winkwink: Not that my opinion matters at all. :haha: Woohoo for a baby next month!! I'm having one this month even if I go horribly, horribly overdue. :haha:

I had my 39 week appointment today and was at 2cm & 75% effaced, baby engaged (didn't say how much, but used the term "right there"). My OB did say that dilation and effacement can absolutely be different (and go backwards) based on baby's position. So I think Vi had popped up a bit last week (I was more comfortable last week than the week before or now, that's for sure!) and that caused me to seem less effaced & be less dilated. No big since it doesn't matter anyway.

I have had some bloody show this afternoon which I assume is from the check but it's the first time I've had it and it's the 4th time I've been checked. I'll have an ultrasound next Monday to check placenta & baby size & fluid if I don't have her by then (which I don't really expect to happen). I walked around for 3-4 hours this afternoon shopping at thrift stores. I can't decide if I'm ready for her to come now or not. I think I am. :haha:
