Beach Bump Graduates!

Mel I think the ergo is probably worth keeping over the R&R but that's just me maybe.
I hope you get the photos sorted, I bet you have tons now!! I can't wait to get snapping. Forgot to say but if I ask Annabelle where the baby is now she comes over and pulls my top up and says 'there', then if I ask if she wants to kiss/cuddle it she does! It's soooo cute!! I think she's starting to get it a bit more.

Thanks for your name vote too Mel - did make me laugh as you spelt Caitlin differently which goes to show its one if those names!! That's not going to put me off it though, just a factor to consider. I put a poll on baby bump and on the names thread here and Alyssa Rose is winning so far....

Julie that's so exciting!! If it helps I had 3 internals with Annabelle and only one produced blood and I was in labour within 24 hours so hopefully you'll be the same! Funnily enough I was also 2/3cm at that point too! I'm so so excited for you! Keep us posted!
And thank you for the name vote - it does help! I know you had misgivings about names too for a while so I know you know where I'm at!

oh sorry for spelling it wrong! lol! My friend has a little girl called "Kaitlyn" yes lots of ways to spell it!
Well ive ordered the R and R lol! However i may keep the Ergo for now anyhow, ive also got another carrier to sell and also a girl on another BNB thread had a 10% off code so i justifed it to myself a bit more! :)
Hann its your fault I use Zulily you introduced me! i bought two trunkies for the boys off of there the other day!

Oh and yes tonnes of photos, plus i like to keep hard copies so storage an issue! Alan just shakes his head and sighs....

Hi all, sorry i haven't posted for a couple of days, have had a pretty busy one, but have been reading along. Think i've overdone it as i am now coming down with the worst cold ever, I feel terrible :(

Hann i really like both Caitlin and Alyssa as names, I prefer those over Carrie but carrie is still nice. And glad your 34 week appt went well, that's great about the BP!

Mel sounds like a good weekend, you must be knackered, I forget how tiring those night time wake ups are. It was freezing today wasn't it!

Caz, sorry you and neel are arguing about money. What is it about the end of a bank holiday weekend, paul and i have been at it this evening as well! Think we've spent too much time together lol!

Georgie did you find a nice playmat for M?

AFM as i mentioned, busy weekend, went to my sister's yesterday evening for dinner and didn't get back til late, we put Leo down to sleep there and moved him about midnight, bless him he was so good. Today we went to an NCT friend's for a meal which was nice, but I felt really rough and felt like I was coming down with something and we spent about an hour in the garden chasing after the kids. I feel awful now, threw up when I got home, had an argument with paul about something silly, and now i feel really cold and shivery as well as still feeling sick. Bring on july, i can't wait for this pregnancy to be finished.

Lol Mel - zulily is evil!! I bought clothes for Annabelle the other day - there goes another £35! I'm sure the R&R will be fab anyway.

Simmy - feel so bad that you are so sick still. Will post more in the morning though as Annabelle is having a sad half hour and I can't get her back to sleep!

Hann -- I like Caitlin and Carrie as first names more than Alyssa. :winkwink: Not that my opinion matters at all. :haha: Woohoo for a baby next month!! I'm having one this month even if I go horribly, horribly overdue. :haha:

I had my 39 week appointment today and was at 2cm & 75% effaced, baby engaged (didn't say how much, but used the term "right there"). My OB did say that dilation and effacement can absolutely be different (and go backwards) based on baby's position. So I think Vi had popped up a bit last week (I was more comfortable last week than the week before or now, that's for sure!) and that caused me to seem less effaced & be less dilated. No big since it doesn't matter anyway.

I have had some bloody show this afternoon which I assume is from the check but it's the first time I've had it and it's the 4th time I've been checked. I'll have an ultrasound next Monday to check placenta & baby size & fluid if I don't have her by then (which I don't really expect to happen). I walked around for 3-4 hours this afternoon shopping at thrift stores. I can't decide if I'm ready for her to come now or not. I think I am. :haha:

Ooh so exciting! Bet she comes early!

Oh Julie I missed your post for some reason - wow sounds like it could be the start - where are you at with the house move?? Did I miss something or did you already move? Xx

Simmy just read your post properly - sounds like you have caught a bug if you are shivery. I hope you wake up feeling a bit better this morning. I know July probably feels like its ages away but it will fly by. Quite frankly I'm at a loss as to how I'm almost 35 weeks! I know I've had a considerably smoother run this time so that has helped but it does go quickly with a toddler!

Mel - I now have my back up plan sorted in case I go into labour at 36/37 weeks, although fairly certain that won't happen lol! I have my sister and a friend lined up to jump in the car and get here (20-30 mins away) if I need them at night, and my two friends down the road if its day time. My MW seemed very confident that it won't happen before 9th though so I'm pretty happy with that! I think if I was in pain I'd be hoping it was early but I'm feeling fine so I'm not wishing it away. I see it as my last 5 weeks with just me and my girl so I want to make the most of it while I can. I've been so fortunate this pregnancy though so I am thankful. Really makes me think it must be a boy!

Anyway I really hope it's a boy as really no further with the name than last night! I think we are never going to decide lol!!

Maybe if it's a girl Han and once you see her it will all fall into place?

Simmy so sorry that you're not well. Are you working today? Hope you can rest up.

Things seem ok with me and Neel today (and our marriage twins Simmy and Paul hope you are ok too!). It's tense as we are so tight for cash and its inevitable that it might cause rows but its not nice all the same x

Hi! I have managed to get my laptop on!! (It's not been working) so I'm going to catch up now. Hope everyone's OK! x

I love all of those names Hann! Alyssa is very beautiful and I think it goes well with Annabelle really well I think.
3/5 engaged that's great!!! At least you won't go overdue (well, I doubt it anyway!) :D

Julie how exciting!!!!! I think it will be VERY soon for you!!! How are you feeling?

:hugs: Simmy I hope you feel better soon, are you having any time off work to rest?

How are things going with the house Caz? It must be stressful but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the long run- although no fun if things are tight in the meantime. I saw a lovely pic of the 3 of you on FB today- Ajay is fab!

How are you getting on Mel? Did you have a nice time at your parents? We had a sit me up cosy for Holly and Naomi- they were gifts from family- I liked it but don't know if it's something I'd have bought myself. I bet you have a ton of photos of the boys! Did Harrison have a nice Easter?

Did everyone have a nice Easter? We did- it was busy so I've been trying to sort stuff out at home today- my laptop keeps breaking and now my dryer isn't working!! Hopefully tomorrow will be better!- Great, Martyn has just walked in and told me the tax has run out on the car!! The letter was in my to-do pile so he's just off to buy that! Thank goodness we realised now and not any later!!

Oh no Maria - these things always come in 3's - hopefully you've had your share now. If its any help we actually drove around last year for 2 months with a run out tax disc because we had no idea it had run out!! Glad the lap top is up and running now too :)

The name issue I think has been resolved, people kept saying to me about this Stephen King Carrie film, which was in the 1970s, so I googled it as I wanted to see what it was all about and the date it was released, anyway thanks to good old wiki it tells me that there is a new Carrie film coming out this year in time for Halloween. Its a proper Hollywood blockbuster! I told Greg and he said that the name is officially off the table now - he compared it to calling a boy Hannibal the year that silence of the lambs was out lol! So he has now agreed that it will be Caitlin. It will probably be Caitlin Alyssa.
Of course after all this fuss its probably a boy anyway lol! :) at least the problem is solved anyway!

LOL about Carrie, Hann! I didn't know they were remaking it. It is a creepy film! Caitlin Alyssa is lovely.

Maria -- Woohoo for getting your laptop on! I recently had to buy a new one because my super old dinosaur of a laptop finally just flat out refused to come on anymore. :haha:

Caz -- Glad you and Neel are alright. Scott and I have been spending way too much time together and I'm finding myself getting way too annoyed with him really easily. :dohh:

Simmy -- I hope you're feeling better soon!

Mel -- I need more pictures of Lucas. Please?

I'm feeling really restless today. Very crampy in my abdomen and lower back and have had bloody show several times along with bits of plug.
Not getting too excited yet since I lost my plug at 38 weeks with Maisie, and we all know how that turned out. :haha: Really finding myself wanting to conserve energy, though. We're planning to go to the new place tomorrow to paint and although I REALLY want that done before Vi comes, I'm dreading it so much.

I'm also not sure about how I'd feel about an April 3 birthday. My brother died really unexpectedly on April 3, 2011, so while it would be good to have a happy event on that day, I know I'm always going to think about that. After tomorrow, though, I'm in "get this baby out of me!" mode full force! :)

Hi all

Maria, urrgghh hope all your bad luck is over for a little while, not good! Have you got any nice things planned for the Easter hols?

Simmy, hope you are feeling a little better today, Is Paul back at work?Hope the nanny is no longer sick.

Hann, glad you have come to an agreement on the name!

Georgie, hope you are ok hun

AFM, A busy day of getting household chores done, its been very productive, ive scrubbed my kitchen like mad, made some carrot and corriandier soup as i had a tonne of carrots, and Alan is now doing ironing. Seems like we are actually getting on top of things for 1st time in 9 months lol!
Lucas had a mahoosive expolosive poo earlier and has had 2 futher changes of clothes since due to sick and a leaky nappy. Hes also had two bottles in 3 hours and been awake the whole time so hoping he is gonna have a long sleep now. Bless him hes so weeny.
We took the tandem out for the 1st time today and we were impressed with it, H looked really comfy in it too, his seat is nice and wide, it will just take a bit of getting used to due to the size but we are taking it to town tomorrow as we have an appointment to register Lucas's birth in the afternoon. We are actually gonna try taking the bus as its easier than driving getting in and out the car etc and parking.
Just ordered a load of photo albums and my thankyou cards for Lucas gifts x

Julie, how are you today? Have you moved yet?

Hann that's so funny you should say that because the name Carrie always makes me think of the stephen king film which scared me to death when i watched it as a teenager, it was about this weird spooky girl called carrie. But for some reason i didn't think to mention it to you, as I guess there are other carries (Bradshaw of course! And Mattheson, if you watch homeland, but i'm not sure she was someone to name your child after either lol). Anyway i'm glad you've decided either way, and yes it is SO going to be a boy now after all that! Caitlin Alyssa is lovely.

Maria, oh no to everything going wrong today, i'm glad your laptop held up enough to post here! Glad you had a nice easter, what did you get up to? Did I see some pics of peppa pig world??

Caz glad things are better with neel today, Paul and I are fine too - well we had to be as he flew off to Serbia this morning and i would never let him leave the country on an argument!

AFM i'm feeling ok today, still sore throat but I have taken it VERY easy, I slept most of the morning as Paul dealt with Leo and dropped him off to nursery before he got his flight (bless him). I also told work I wasn't working which took the pressure off somewhat. Tomorrow is my big long day in the office and commuting on the tube so I really needed to rest up today otherwise I wont manage tomorrow. The nanny is arriving at 8.30am and is going to drop me to the tube station, and I've asked her to stay til 6.30pm so she can help me with Leo's dinnertime etc just in case i'm too knackered. So all in all I think it will be ok. My parents were supposed to arrive back from Dubai today but their flight was overbooked so they're not back til tomorrow night. Paul isn't back til Thursday afternoon so i have no backup tomorrow. Bloody hope the nanny shows up as i'm really relying on her!

For those of you who went naturally before, did your BH contractions die down before real labor started? Or did BH contractions just kind of suddenly turn into real labor contractions?

Of course I'm asking because it seems I'm having fewer BH contractions the last couple of days and I'm grasping at straws. :haha:

Oops we crossed posts again mel and julie.

Mel, sounds like a busy day - goodness you do forget how messy newborns are, it's just puke and poo, puke and poo isn't it?! Aww bless little lucas i hope he has a good sleep tonight. By tandem do you mean bicycle?????

Julie, good luck with the painting day tomorrow, you never know it may just bring on labour... You will feel much better once it's done though. Don't worry too much about April 3rd, I was worrying about the same thing (baby being born on my grandpa's death anniversary) and my mum told me hindu's consider it good luck, i know you're not hindu (and i'm hardly religious) but it made me feel a bit better anyway! Something to do with the relative looking down and protecting the bubba.
