Beach Bump Graduates!

That's great that the stutter has reduced or hopefully gone! Also I can see that to use a potty outside of the house is a pretty big deal for some little ones, it requires complete trust and confidence in the carer and anyone else around him.

Simmy - I wouldn't worry too much about weight, you've lost it before and you'll do it again when you can

Caz - personal trainer will be great! I had one before our wedding and kept her until I was pregnant with annabelle. I think it's important to get one you click with but when you do it can be great as they know how much to push you. I had s free PT session once with a gym and the guy pushed me so hard that I literally could barely walk the next day, it was agony. A good one shouldn't do that! Plus he was also a creep as he kept saying he wamted to massage me, never went back! I did love my girl PT though, she was fab!
The guys at bmf are really good, I'd def recommend it, they are also nice to look at - well a couple of them are lol! I made myself go tonight and so glad I did as it was a good workout and now feel good. Apart from shin pain!
Now I can get drunk tomorrow night and know I've already burnt it off ha ha!!

How was your night out Han?

Pt was good - she knew her stuff and seemed nice so that was good. She is coming next Friday too so that keeps me motivated and she runs circuits classes every Monday at 8.15 pm so will try that tomorrow too.

Busy weekend here as we had our friends staying with their ten week old baby girl. She was glorious but they found Ajay a bit full on - dont think they'd been around a toddler that much!!!

So glad the PT went well Caz!

Yes had a great night out although one of gregs work friends was really drunk and knocked me over, falling on me, so pretty bruised from that!

oh boy Im so sorry Ive been MIA, things been so hectic lately.
Firstly ..
Simmy, what an ordeal with Leo bless him! Hope hes all back to normal now but how scarey for you all! Loved the clip of Leo spelling, what a little star!

Hann, sounds like a great night, except being knocked over owch!!! How has Annabelles sleeping been? Harrison has improved again luckily although we are keeping the gate on his door for the time being.

Caz, how has your weekend been with all the friends you have been seeing? Sounds like you had a lovely birthday.
Must have been awful to listen to the stuttering, glad its improved though and well done on the potty training, Hann is right though, its still very early so dont stress over it too much. Harrison is just point blank refusing to sit on a potty lol and ive got so much else going on with weaning, bottles etc that its easier to leave it at the mo.

So as for me things been pretty hectic, so hestantly starting my new business although im not pushing it till ive done my sports qualification, so its just testing the water, however its been good, ive done a few massages and all appears well. Ive also got a new part time ad hoc type merchandising job and also had an interview at waitrose on sat and got another at asda on tues. So its all happening, I need to supplement my therapist work with a regular one so thats why really. The interview on sat went really well, but the hours may be a sticking point, i hope that i get offered something though as i will do it if at all possible and john lewis is a good company to work for apparently.
So apart from all of that Ive got a an anatomy and physiology exam tomorrow then after that when i get home Ive got Harrisons pre school key worker coming over as he starts there on wed and they like to spend a bit of time with him at home before hand which is nice.
On tues me and Alan have a balloon flight of all things! I bought it for alans birthday last year but we couldnt do it then as I fell pregnant so they exended it, so hopefully the weather will be good on tues morning as we have to be there at 7am! lol
Its crazy busy here lately, looking forward to out holiday in scotland in 2 weeks to relax! :)

Mel what a busy time you're having! It all sounds good though, it's a good sort of busy isn't it?? How was the balloon trip? And any news from waitrose or asda?

Caz how's ajay? Did you have a nice weekend? Soo funny me running into your sister yesterday and thinking it was you! Lol. it must happen to you all the time :)

Hann how was your night out last week? Have you recovered from being knocked over?

Maria how are you? You must be missing holly now schools have gone back - but also must be nice to get back to 'normal' and have some quality time with naomi...

We are fine thanks - Leo is much better although we are still not sure what caused the jaundice and low iron. Last set of bloods came back inconclusive so he's had some more tests and we get the results tomorrow - my mum is coming to look after Sophia so i can take Leo to the hospital, I don't fancy trying to deal with both of them there.

Just wondering do any of you have good ideas of what to do with a toddler and baby, e.g. mornings/afternoons out somewhere? And something I can manage on my own? Does such a thing exist?? We've been to the park but i'm a bit bored of that now...

Oh by the way I am loving my tandem buggy! Totally made up with it, it's so easy to use and fits through doorways etc. And i'm a little wimp but can still manage to push it :)

PS Mel weaning?? My goodness where did the time go! It goes so much more quickly with the second doesn't it!!! I can't believe sophia is over 2 months already.

Oh and how did H's preschool go today?

Hey Simmy, thanks, preschool went really well, he only went this morning but was fine when i left and had a lovely morning by all accounts. My heart felt like it was being ripped out though!
From next week though il use the time to spend quality time with Lucas, we will go to a class or swimming.
Yes Lucas will be six months on 20th Sept! Where did that go! Its crazy!

As for things to do with both of them, its hard isnt it. I go to the zoo, or out for a walk. Or make plans with other mummy friends ie round each others houses, but I cant really do soft play on my own or any classes as they arent in the same age range for them! I guess Im lucky as I have Alan around at odd hours to either come with me or take one or the other.
Is Leo still at nursery?

Aah glad he was a good boy at preschool :)

Yes Leo's still at nursery 3 days a week but i'll probably reduce that to 2 or 2.5 when sophia's in more of a routine. I;m just struggling with what to do with them both on the two days i have them to myself. So far we've been going to my parents' but i need to venture a bit futrher though lol. The zoo is a lovely option, I wish we had one close by. Could do the farm i suppose. Softplay would be great for Leo but obvs there's not a lot sophia can do there yet...

Hi girls,

Mel - wow is Lucas six months - blimey that has flown by! I can't even remember weaning now, feels like a million years ago! Loved H's photo on facebook as well - how grown up.

Simmy - lol about you seeing my sister. You two would really get on, she was worried you thought she was rude, honestly it does happen often and we both always end up talking to each other friends!

Han - how are things?

In terms of things to do, I don't know with two of course but the park is good, soft play, toddler groups, coffee's with friends (hopefully S would sleep!)........ I don't know how I'd cope with two.

All going well here - I'm trying to come off my medication so am focusing on that and trying to ensure that I take things easy. I spent most of the the day today with Ajay obviously but also with a friend and her son who Ajay adores. So that was good - we just chilled out and the boys played together. x

Very quiet on here.....

We are off on holidays tomorrow for right says - just France again at my parents but can't wait for no work!

Had my sister her boyf and her son joe over - was so lovely to see them x

Hey all!

It has been AGES... But just found out DH and I are pregnant with #2 and due May 3! Very exciting!

Jill is doing great. Very petite, incredibly verbal, tantrums are starting...

I will have to read back a ways and catch up with everyone.
Anyone else have #2 (or 3?!) yet? Anything else notable I have missed in the past year or so?

Big CONGRATS, Squeeker! That's so exciting!

I'm currently pregnant again, I'm 26 weeks along and due 12.12. Many of the ladies on here have had their next babies since the July ones already.

Huge congrats squeeker! Amazing news. Still only Ajay for me but as SB said lots of other babies have already arrived!

Congratulations squeaker!

Sorry I've been off here, had my bill wedding on fri so been at a hotel and inlaws last week, back late late last night. It was a nice wedding, both annabelle and Henry were amazing.

Preschool going well here although she's cried after I've left both times. They have cuddled her and read her stories which has helped. When I picked her up today she cried when she saw me I think from relief that I had come back. Feel so bad but I know she will love it.
Henry's doing great too - starting to do lots of rolling around so have to be careful where I leave him!
Activities we do tend to be tiny tunes, rhyme time at library, park and people's houses. A lot of the time we are at people's houses. Tomorrow morning annabelle is at preschool and Henry and I are at a friends then we will have a quiet afternoon. Weds seeing a friend she weds pm seeing another friend, thurs preschool again and got an Nct meet, thurs pm no plans, fri seeing a friend again. Now we have preschool three times a week I think our days will fill up! I'm also going to send her one afternoon a week from half term onwards as really like another preschool.
Right got to run as got no food for dinner so off to the shops in the horrible rain!!

Congratulations squeeker, nice to hear from you!

So what's the difference between a preschool and a nursery? Am confused. Is it basically the same but only open during the term time? It must be nice for you Mel/Hann to have the toddlers off at preschool for a few mornings while spending quality time with the baby :) Hann when leo first started he used to cry when he saw me as well, it's as if he remembered that i'd been mean by leaving him there.

Caz, hope you're having fun in France, so jealous!

We're good here, Sophia has started to really 'chatter' and respond, it's just lovely. She is still quite clingy, so i finally ordered a Boba 3G - went to a sling library on monday and tried a few on, that was the one i got on with the best. So excited for it to come!

Other than that, Paul is on his travels again so we're staying at my parents place - he's in norway this week and south africa next week. Am enjoying being at the rents, much easier than being home alone with the two of them!

I bet it's nice to be with your parents Simmy - it is tonnes easier with more people to help! How is Leo?

Han and Mel glad that preschool is going well. I don't really know what the difference is between preschool and nursery. I heard they follow the same early years foundation but not sure. Ajay can stay where he is until school and he is so happy that in reluctant to move him.

Holiday is fab here - great weather. My parents left yesterday so just the three of us now. Neel and I went for dinner last night and my parents baby sat and we are both hungover today which feels rubbish x

Sounds fun Caz, must have been lovely to have a drinker night out with neel :)

Leo is fine thanks, he is a lot better and not yellow any more. He had a follow up blood test and his haemoglobin had come right back up. He definitely has this condition called G6PD which is a blood enzyme deficiency. It basically means he has to avoid broad beans, mothballs and a bunch of random drugs (but those that aren't used too widely). If he avoids those then he is fine. The paedeatric haematologist said that if you're going to have a blood condition, this is the one to have as it's really not a big deal. So we're thankful that it was diagnosed and is manageable.

Other than that Leo is brilliant - my hilarious 2 year old :)

Simmy - I have a Boba 3G and love it. I've been trying it out on Katie and it's so comfy! She loves it, she's always digging it out and buckling herself in it and then saying she's ready! I can't wait to use it on the baby, I"m sure it'll be even more fun with someone so lightweight!

AFM - I hit third trimester tomorrow! It's going so fast now, I can't believe I'm nearing the end! I'm both so eager to have the baby as well as getting that "oh my gosh, I have to go through labor again!" fear.

Those with babies since their toddlers - can you explain how it was for the toddler to bring a baby home? I'm just curious as to what to expect from Katie at this age. How long did your toddler regress? Did they get possessive of mommy? How did they react to a baby suddenly being there every day? How long did it take for them to adjust?

SB wow third trimester that has gone quickly.

Neel's parents have offered to have Ajay for a weekend so that we can go away just the two of us. Am nervous and excited at the same time. We are thinking Iceland as there are some good deals on flights....
