Why do all these babies seem to enjoy teasing us?? Two days of teasing and I'm already going crazy.

I know, it's day 4 for me and I think we are both going through the exact same symptom teases.

I hope so, I never knew this could be such a long drawn out process. I was so naive.

I wonder how BV is doing.

Yeah, haven't heard from her in a while. I have a feeling she probably had her baby by now and is just too busy with her little girl to update!

I had heard of laboring for days being common...it just never occured to me that I could be one of them! As soon as I started getting contractions and was told I was in labor, I prayed that it wouldn't stall out. Honestly, at this point I can't tell if it has or not - my cervix is still having shooting pains, I have cramps and the occasional contraction - it's just very far from being active labor!

I'm in the exact same situation. After 4 days, they seem to be tapering off to cramps and an occasional contraction, getting lots of cervical and back pain and I'm feeling pretty sick. Ugh. I hope something happens by the weekend for both of us.

With all the baby things going on, I feel like I'm in baby land, which must be far from reality! I couldn't figure out for days why there were all these large firework tents being set up all over the place. And everyone kept saying it was a holiday weekend, and I didn't understand why. After about three days of confusion, DH looked at me and was like "you do realize it's almost Independence Day?" No, I had no idea! To me it was just "3 days to due date", "2 days til due date" "possible going into labor day", etc.

I have all this to come I think in a couple of weeks! I'm the same, I always thought labour would be a (relatively) quick process (.i.e maybe 24-36 hours tops) and didn't realise that it could start/stop so much. Soooo naive too!

I'm thinking of you all and wishing your babies will come soon! Us mid-July beach bumps have a little longer to be patient for I think!

hey girls i'm gonna be still very slow at posting because i had bad news last week about my dad his cancer has come back and its in his back now and he is saying that he will not be having any treatment now and will be just living every day as it comes.... so i will be here and there trying to get the kids to have as much time with him as posable

Anna, i'm so sorry to hear about your dad. That is really sad. You are doing the right thing by getting the kids to spend as much time with him as possible- that will really cheer him up. Big hugs to you and your family - we are here anytime for you

thanks hun its just come to quick what with Flynn being born then my dads news, just hope they can tell him more thursday at his appointment

That's really tough hun, it's hard news to hear at the best of times but especially with a newborn. I hope the next appointment brings some more positive news
