Breastfeeding Support - 6 months and beyond!

lol just found out today myself lol, this is the one site im allowed to say anything about it but it would drive me nuts only being able to talk to DH for the next 8wks about it

It drove me nuts lol, I found out when (we thought) I was 6 weeks, turned out I was 9, but we only wanted to tell close family (our mums, and my nan and granddad) until I was 12 weeks, so I held out for 3 weeks loner than I had to, and it killed me not telling everyone, I just wanted to blurt it out!!

Congratulations Lynnikins and AnnaBanana! I'm really delighted for you both. Very exciting news!

And welcome Buttonnose - congrats on your six month milestone.

Congrats Lynnikins :happydance:

Welcome button & well done to you and Flora on your milestones :happydance:

thank you!

We will be continuing for a while yet :) Little Man has refused EBM in a bottle from day 1, he will drink water from it but try give him milk and he looks at me like I have 2 heads ...... makes me feel good though lol

All these milestones are so exciting! :)

I know! Our 15 month is in 5 days!! I can't wait...15 months is such a biggie to me, don't know why, but 15 months sounds huge! I hope we get to 24 months at least!

I hope you do, i dont think we will somehow EJs feeds are only 10 min and hes not interested except at those 3 times of day and if im not here he happily takes a cup of cows milk or a bottle off my OH

If I'm not here LO happily takes cows milk too, and he really only feeds for 5/10 mins unless it's a sleepy feed, then it's for ages, but yesterday, he was having 1 minute (if that) feeds all through the day!

Alyssa has been happily taking cow's milk since she was just over a year old, but as soon as I'm around, it's "mummy milk" all the way :)

i also even with supplements get quite anemic in pregnancy so dont know what affect that will have on my supply,

JellyBeann was your LO born on the 11th? We hit a milestone in 5 days too on the 11th! :D 20 months. It's going to be so weird having a 2 in front of my milestone number. Feels like I've made it so far.

Yep, January 11th!...his DOB is binary! 110110!! (11.01.10)

US dates really confuse me, lol!

So, yep harry is now 18 months old, 18 months of boobie juice & also got him weighed- little dude is now 22 lbs 1 oz :happydance:

Aww! It's amazing hearing about a toddler even smaller than Emma. She's usually the smallest. :haha:

Why is us dates confusing? Lol u would say April 6 2011 right? So that's how we write it out 4-6-11

I think that's why it's confusing because we actually wouldn't say April 6 2011, we would say 6th April 2011, so that's the way we write it out! Neither is more or less confusing really, it's just whatever you are used to. :flower:

That's awesome! Although here in the us it's 011110 :haha:

Oh, yeah, that's still binary though lol!

Sometimes I get mixed up, and sometimes, if I sign up to a website/forum and it's America based, I go to enter my DOB which over here would be 24/09/86 I get confused then lol

We'd say 6th April so 6-4-11 lol...it's strange how things like this vary...I've always wanted to live in America for a month or two, I'd love to!!

Ahh so we even say it out different. Weird. :haha: DH uses the dates the way you ladies do in the military though. I've noticed a lot of you ladies use military time too when you are saying the time. Which pisses me off.
