Breastfeeding Support - 6 months and beyond!

Morning ladies! Can I sneak in a week early pwetty pwease?

I'm Jo and my son, Albert has been exclusively BF until this week, when I started BLW as he is SO ready - proven by the way he took a chunk out of everything I offered him

Family are already starting to think it's a bit weird I don't want to stop - partly because i'm so small and Albert is big (almost a quarter of my weight!) so they think it 'looks wrong'. They'll be in for a shock when we get to 2 years, providing A doesn't self-wean by then!

BF/FF threads- I try to stay out of them. I haven't been on much in the past few days so I've missed any drama that was happening, but I always just roll my eyes and move on when it's a BF/FF debate. To me, there is nothing to debate. BF is better. End of.

Dragonfly- I hope you go naturally this time!!!! And if you still don't go by the time your induction comes around, I hope you can go vaginally and not another c-section. I will be in your position someday since I had a c-section first too. Fingers X'ed for you.


AFU- Emma is still my booby-aholic. DH leaves next week for 7 months so I'm preparing myself for that. I'm fairly used to it by now but this will be my first long deployment since having Emma. Before it was just me so I could cry in a dark room and no one would mind. But now I gotta stay strong for Emma. But I have this forum to keep me occupied and Emma has her little friends that we can go visit every week and Emma in general keeps me on my toes, so hopefully it goes by fast!!

Yeah, I don't get envolved...I just lurk...I was going out of my mind when DH was away for a fortnight, never mind 7 months...

I hope it goes swiftly for you, and I'm sure Emma and us will keep you occupied!! x

Whoa...a quarter...Booby milk is obviously good for him! I don't mind you sneaking in a week early! I hope to go to 2 years too...And, even though he is starting to look more like a 2 year old, I'm getting funny looks in public (he's not feeding so much out now though) I don't care! I think I'm gonner snap one of these days...I had a really dirty look in town 2 weeks ago, anyway, that's a story for another day! Welcome to extended BF

I have a megaboob and a miniboob! (he prefers megaboob...and I can't for the life of me even them out!)

Is there less protection from the law over feeding in public after 6 months? I know i've been protected up until now but am unsure after that!

Kayleigh comes off A LOT now it's crazy, she's nosy like her momma I think! She also hates when I pull my shirt down to my nipple to try and cover, so she pushes it back up, so hiding anything now is near impossible for me! I don't know about the laws though... Kayleigh still looks under 6 months to most people.

Also, and I know I don't mind you coming in early!

OW! I started to write something but Ollie bit my nip! And now I forgot what I was going to write!! He has 8 teeth so it bloomin smarts, he did stop it for a little bit, but now he's starting again...OW..he did it again!

Kayleigh only did it once so far hard... has one bottom tooth and it hurt like a *&^%@#$!! I sure don't want to feel it again, but well, I know I will!

william clamps on mine when slapper its sore! i have had to stick my finger in and unlatch him and thats not pleasant either.

funny as he talks while on boob. mouth full lol

ejs top teeth the new ones are causing him misery so im getting bit almost daily atm, he looks like a 1 yr old ( or so im told ) so i do get some looks when i NIP as he doesnt fit on my lap but likes to nurse cradle hold which means i need a whole sofa to nurse him now

I worry about the top teeth!! lol I know how much the gums hurt when used to bite, let alone teeth!!!!

erin never bit me but owen has and itreally hurt! i am dreading to think what it's going to be like when he gets teeth. maybe he'll wait until after we stop bf (tho that's not on the cards for a long while)
