cdelmar and melewen, my DH was also keen to start TTC much earlier but even his enthusiasm flagged after 7 days of sex Skipping one day shouldn't make any difference from what I've read. We need to remind them that only the end result counts!

Had another scan yesterday. To my utmost surprise, there is an embryo (3.8 mm with a heartrate of 118 bpm) - I asked the OB/gyn "where did that come from!". He pushed my dates back by 9 days (to 6 weeks 1 day instead of 7 weeks 3 days) and said I probably ovulated late, but I've never ovulated so late before, and I noted the dates we "tried" so it would mean my DH's sperm was just hanging around for 5 days??? My gestational sac is also measuring very large, 38 mm.
So while I'm obviously happy we found an embryo with a heartbeat, I still can't stop stressing about measuring 9 days behind and the large sac.

Hi Ladies,

I'm new to the Baby & Bump forums...although being an avid followers the last few weeks and months. DH and I are TTC #1 and I'm really nervous, excited and looking for support. My DH has just returned from a military deployment, so I've used this time apart to tracking my cycle(s) using an app called "Monthly Cycles" (has anyone else used this app?), carefully watching my CM and other bodily indicators. I haven't used an OPK yet. DH and I have been really trying this cycle. We BD every other day during my "fertility week" (Sept 24-Oct 1st). I'm really hoping we're successful this cycle. But I think AF will be showing up. I've been experiencing all my typical PMS symptoms (except, they started really early this cycle). Except today, I woke up and its as if ALL my PMS symptoms stopped. My BBs no longer hurt, no cramping or lower back aches. Just a few twinges. So strange.

I'm really hoping to find some TTC #1 sistas' to lean on and find support!

Fleur you're so right. I remind him sometimes about what all I do too and then he's like yeah ok you're right.... I don't want to temp, I'll just f*** you. Hahahaha!! I try to use the F word as often as possible to keep it um..... More like the beginning of our relationship and less clinical as it is now. I inject myself with a syringe of Preseed right before we DTD for crying out loud! Lol

And that is amazing!!! Congrats!!!!!! It is so normal to be worried but we all have FX for you!!

Hey Ladies!!!

I'm new to the site, so searching around some forums! I'm 26 hubby 27, and were ttc #1! This is the start of our 3rd cycle trying, but for a year before that we were NTNP. I've always been a little disappointed we never "accidentally" conceived during that year. I started taking folic acid, along with other vitmins, about 3-4 months ago, to get my body ready for baby. It's just so discouraging at times and depressing when I get my cycle every month. I used OPK this past cycle, not was unfortunate and did not conceive. I'm always interested in people's advice!!

Thanks so much ladies! Have to admit I'm not feeling very confident after reading up about similar cases online but can't do anything except wait till the next scan and hope for the best.

melewen, you're right about trying to keep it exciting, otherwise it does get very clinical. I have to admit it did get to be a bit of a chore as the days went by and we had to do it yet again. But we've got to do what we've got to do hey!

Yeah I hate to admit that over the last couple days I was like please GOD let me get pg on this cycle so we don't have to have sex anymore! Lol. Just not so forced, at the same time everyday! Last night we were both so sore and actually thought of icing �� but we are giving it our all this cycle!

Not due for 3 days and I never pre spot. But im super tired since ive been up working since 5. so maybe i didnt see it???????????

First post after just joining so I'm not really sure what I am doing since I've never been on a forum before! Just been reading them a whole bunch and decided I could use the support. I am ttc #1, cycle #5, 4dpo (I think I got those acronyms right!). I feel like my family are probably sick of hearing about it so I thought I'd turn to some other people going through the same thing for some support. I know it's still early, but I'm getting discouraged.
I've been so emotional lately - babies and pregnant ladies everywhere!!!

Welcome Skywaitress! I am 3DPO today. So, we are buddies this cycle. Been having some weird cramps and peeing in the middle of the night (which rarely happens).

I guess I am 4dpo TODAY (not yesterday) so we really are cycle buddies, zen & melewen! At least I think. My fertility tracker apps and my opk are way different so I'm going by the opk! Yesterday everything set me off sobbing (even when I read everyone being nice and welcoming to this thread LOL), but it was also the 1 year anniversary of a really awful event so I think maybe it could have been related to that too. Also been tired, but can't fall asleep and having a rapid heart rate (more so than usual). Maybe I'm just coming down with something.
Thank you guys for being so welcoming! Is your appointment for fertility testing, bubbles?

Ten months for us. With alot of supplements, preseed, etc . I was just waiting for our inurance to kick in

I'm glad you're going have a list of specific test you want done to present if they don't take you seriously. I think they will, but just because the receptionist was so crappy the last time you called.

I already have my charts, my list of supplement with uses, and
my tests wanted (my thought is im not ovulating or cm not compatible with sperm). Im on my second cycle of soy iso this time so we'll see. How are you doing khigg? Hows the house and this cycle for you?

I have been lurking for a while now, lol.
A bit about me....I was on here about 3 years ago when I was experiencing an early and unexpected miscarriage...now I am back at age 38 newly married and trying for number 1.

I am so worried about getting my hopes up with my advancing age but with every approaching AF it is hard not to get your hopes up....especially when everything feels like a symptom.

Everyone seems really warm and welcoming here and I hope I can join the fun!
