Canadian Ladies!! 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimesters.... Now everyone can stay in touch!

If I can make a suggestion, try on clothing in the regular clothing sections but in bigger sizes. I know this time around I actually wore more yoga type non-maternity clothes vs the maternity ones I had bought when pregnant with LO. Also, don't go overboard, the cost of maternity clothes is not worth the long range wear. Good luck with your shopping!

As for me, I now no longer need my maternity clothes as my little boy was born on September 24th! I'll try to post a pic later (he's a good sleeper so far so it's just a matter of getting organized). We had a fairly traumatic birth but overall came out unscathed and everyone is happy and healthy. Will fill in the details soon.

I did that. I would go to super store and buy normal clothes but in bigger sizes.

Congrats lilosmom!

Congrats lilosmom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope I am early like you

Who is next?! It can't be me, can it?!?!?

Congrats lilosmom!! Awesome.

I can fit into non maternity shirts but pants no way lol. I carry all my weight in my front normally so if pants fit my legs I don't get muffin top in the back but my stomach hangs out- so maternity pants are wonderful!

I agree. I only bought maternity pants and then just larger sizes of regular tops. But now I'm finding my fall jackets don't fit!! If I wear something bigger, it bags in the arms and the sleeves are too long, but it fits across my belly. For now, I'm still wearing my regular fall jacket but can't button it.

I certainly don't want to be wasting money on new jackets. I'm not sure if my winter coat will fit either. I'm due Dec. 31 and have a couple of winter coats, but I doubt any will fit around that time. I think I'll check out consignment shops for something.

I just HAVE to share...it's my last day of work! I'm a teacher and I'm so done physically and mentally so I'm doing 2 weeks of sick leave (using banked sick days) and then starting mat leave at 37 weeks! Woot!

Yay Gaiagirl! I've been at home for a couple weeks now (medical leave for my back) and it has been awesome!

conrats on the little man lilosmom :D Cant wait for my time to get here already :)

Hi Ladies! I am 6 weeks and from Southwestern Ontario! Nice to see a canadian group of ladies on here!

Woohoo!! Just bought a pair of maternity dress pants and five tops for $46 from a girl on Facebook. I love this online garage sale idea!!

Thanks guys! Im super excited to be over in the pregnancy forums now! We tried for 11 months and were supposed to go see a specialist in november but instead we get to tell everyone our awesome news then at 12 weeks! So excited!

Welcome Magan and Congrats lilosmom!

Somehow my city has two maternity stores: Thyme and Motherhood. I know you can buy online with Motherhood and they occasionally have decent sales. I haven't (and don't plan to) bought anything regular priced at Thyme, I was lucky when I went in in August they were clearing out last year's fall and winter! I'm wondering where you ladies are buying your bras and if you are just buying larger sizes or if anyone is buying nursing bras?

Surprisingly, Thyme had a "maternity" ie, regular, bra that fit me! I was a 32 G before getting pregnant and went up to a 34 H, but their 36 DDD fit me (I think their sizing is way off) and it was only $50-something, usually my bras start at $100 so I was pleasantly surprised. I'm waiting till the end of my pregnancy though to buy nursing bras, as who knows how big I'll be then!

Wow lemongrass - those are some serious girls!! ;) I am still fitting into my 36C bras... and kinda wishing they'd pop! LOL
