Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

I heard on the news somewhere that she was complaining that the school driver took to long to pick the kids up (talking) but read somewhere else that the child the driver picks up at that stop is handicapped which IMO would probably mean a longer wait time. Regardless though she should not have done that ever let alone multiple times!

Our usual bus driver waits for a bit for any stragglers (there is a little girl who is late pretty much every single day ), he's not visiting with the parents (we're not even allowed on the bus) but being a nice guy/doing his job.

Wow. I can't believe that video!!!! SO glad that she got caught, what the actual eff????

Can anyone fill me in on what exactly started that rioting/protesting that 21 different countries were in on? P and I saw it on the news in Mexico but half of it was dubbed over in spanish and we couldn't understand.

:hugs: Tina. Sometimes you just gotta vent! While we might not totally know/understand everyone on this thread is always here to listen (read?) if you need it. We know you love your girl :cloud9: but it IS hard having an Autistic kiddo! Always around if you need to talk.

Oh, and the name of the resort we transferred from is called Ocean Spa Hotel. If you are going there I'd suggest to RUN. Fast and far! Aside from the disgusting pictures that I posted on FB, there was a dead cockroach on the floor in the other room, not to mention spiders everywhere and the water was disgusting.

It wasn't safe to drink, so they chlorinated the heck out of it for shower purposes. When I had a shower my eyes went red and burned from all the chlorine.

Oh my God, that video made my blood run cold! Well done for that bus driver for taping it and get the cops involved asap. Sounds like she does it every day.

the pictures on facebook were bad  glad you were able to get switched!

I don't know what the riots/protests are about I'm afraid  Only seen bits and pieces of the news

I don't watch the news...I hate it, it depresses me. Nathan usually just keeps me up to date on current events

That video is crazy. Who does that?!?

I don't watch the news either, there are a few things of interest I keep up to date on myself though.

Hi Ladies!

I'm new here and I wanted to say Hi and see if any of you ladies have had any experience with fertility specialists associated with the Markham-Stouffville Hospital. My GP is referring me to someone there. From my google search it looks like there are 2 fertility clinics in Markham, and both have OB/GYNEs that practice at the MSH.

I actually live in Bowmanville (Durham Region) but my family doc who is in Whitby (where we lived previously) is more familiar with the FS docs in Markham.

Any good or bad experiences. Doctors to avoid?

Oh, and I'm being referred to investigate my irregular periods, rule out PCOS. My GP and me think I need Clomid but my GP would rather a fertility specialist prescribe and monitor that.

P.S. that school bus dodging sidewalk driver video is insane! That woman must be crazy.

Hi & welcome! Sorry have no idea about Ontario health care, I'm originally from Nova Scotia. Most of the ladies here are from Ontario though.

Well day off today, doing some cleaning and laundry. Only have 4 days left till Jack's birthday party and a list as long as my arm! And work tmr and Saturday so will be busy busy! Plus leaving a list for DH to do when I'm at work on Saturday. A bit scared of that though as he's pretty decent with cleaning but scared to leave him with too much cooking responsibility! LOL

Hi activemom!!
Not sure about the doctors in that area...I'm from a couple hours east of there :flower:
Good luck and welcome!

MAggs I can't believe Jack is turning 1  Is Joni next?! Nooooo!

I hope the party goes well Maggs! :)

I live closer to that area but I don't know much about the doctors there/specialists I'm afraid.

I'm not sure either, but you can go to this site Rate MDs and check out ratings from there?

MAggs I can't believe Jack is turning 1  Is Joni next?! Nooooo!

Gulp. I'm not sure I'm ready for my last babies to turn 1!

And Andrew has his first day of pre preschool today! It's only 1.5hrs once a week, but once he turns 3 he'll be going twice a week for 2.5hrs.

I know it's just flown! Getting all nostalgic with DH tonight. Remembering him in the moses basket next to us and when he and I spent so many weeks co sleeping and the day time naps he took on my lap on the couch cause I couldn't put him down without waking him. I'm glad now I did all those things to get those extra snuggles

Well, K went to play group today, which was fun. Tomorrow she goes to gymnastics. J and M had swim club...busy busy. This weekend, my monster in law, my psycho SIL, my niece, and her son are allllll coming for a visit. God help me! No, literally.

Hope Andrew had a good first day!

What a nightmare having your inlaws visit Jasmak! I couldn't stand having mine here to stay either.

Good luck with the visit :hugs:

I think Alia has croup :( She woke up last night with a barking cough that kept waking her up all through the night. We let her sleep with us (oh man does she ever move around!!!) just so we could give her water when she needed it. At first I thought it was whooping cough and was scared but she's vaccinated so I thought it was unlikely and googled what else could have a barking cough and it sounds exactly like croup.
Question: Should I take her to the doctor or is it one of those things that just mends itself? From what I've read online I only need to take her if it persists for more than a few days.

Oh no poor Alia! :hugs:

Andrew's first day was great, but there were only three kids enrolled and so I'm worried it might get cancelled.
