I just got back from my first prenatal appt. I saw my fertility specialist the first 2 times. Doc did a real quick ultrasound and said everything looks perfect. HR 164 and measured 12w 2d. I get to stop the progesterone suppositories but will continue on the aspirin. I go tomorrow for the NT ultrasound and blood work.

I'm so excited to finally hear a heartbeat. They didn't let us hear it at the first appointment 6 weeks ago, said it was too early.

We may be able to find out the gender tomorrow. I'm PRAYING we can because that would just be so special.

No, I haven't felt any movement yet that I know of, just pangs in the pelvic area and a lot of pressure is all I feel. Hopefully that will come soon. I've heard it's really special. This is my first though, so I expected it to take a little while.

How are you otherwise Audra? It seems like time is passing quickly but standing still at the same time.

Audra - so cool that you're feeling a bit of movement! I think I might be starting to feel a few little flutters as well. Not 100% sure yet as it seems a bit early, but I don't think it's gas or anything else. Aww love this stage.

I have another appointment and ultrasound this afternoon. Still lightly bleeding- been this way for 7 days now. I am hoping the dr is able to find the cause. Hoping for good news this afternoon. Other than that, just extreme nausea, lack of appetite, and fatigue.

Everything is okay with me. Had lower back pain yesterday tho for most of the day. I ended up finally telling my supervisor at work. But we have a big inspectionn coming up next month for my department so I'm trying to focus all my time to work. I don't want my pregnancy becoming an "issue". Luckily I have been feeling a bit more energized so I'm thankful for that. Today marks 11w5d so its moving a long.

Tomorrow I hvae an ultrasound appt for the NT testing. Then my normal OB appt is on Thursday. I'm hoping to be able to hear the heartbeat. I think it will make it so much realler... ( not sure if thats a word or not lol.)

Audra ur bump is super cute. Wow no hiding ur pregnancy.

How's everything else going ladies. Has MS kind of drifted yet?

So everything went perfectly today. Baby looks great so far. AND we're having a little BOY!! WE'RE THRILLED!! We can't stop smiling!! My face hurts from smiling so much!!

The tech was pretty sure and I found out early with my other two boys. Well see for sure on the 7th. But I've seen quite a few early boy scans as i was high risk and got a US every two weeks with my others ☺ I'm pretty sure she's right ☺❤❤❤❤❤

My baby decided not to coopertate s/he was sitting on it's knees and hiding all the private bits. Haha... it was a great visit though even though I cried after we didn't find out. HR was 155, and everything measured ok. We did blood testing today, so those results will be in this week. We had an active little baby during our ultrasound though, so I'm happy/anxious. They will be doing a 3D ultrasound and anatomy scan on May 13th, so I'll just have to wait until then.

Awwww man! Mine wasnt either, it took over an hour and two trips into the US room, lots of juice & cold water to get the correct measurements and the first 45 minutes he was sitting Indian style. Lol. Eventually it worked out though. The tech was very patient and very sweet. I have an elective US on May 7th and a level 2 on May 12th because my little brother and his son had a small cleft pallet at birth. None of my kids have it or anyone else in my family but they want to be sure... I'm on another board and there's a lot of really mean snarky people on there, constantly trying to burst other women's bubbles about everything. I'm getting tired of even posting there. One of them said "there's absolutely no way you can tell a baby's gender until atleast 16weeks, you're stupid". Which I know from experience, that is bullshit but the comment was just rude and mean... they'll tell other women their "bumps" are being faked and its all bloating, blah blah blah. Just to be mean. It's horrific that they act this way and are so mean to some of the first time mom's. It's baby center. I think I'm done with that site... sorry for the rant....

Congrats on your baby boy Audra! That is awesome that they are able to find out at 12 weeks- I am hoping for the same. Technology is so different than what it was 7 years ago when I had my last son.

I had my follow up appointment yesterday and have been placed on bed rest until next Wednesday when I have a follow up appointment and ultrasound. Baby looks good and heartbeat was 165, however, my doctor cannot figure out why I am bleeding. So she said I am dealing with a threatened miscarriage- 50% chance I will continue on with a healthy pregnancy; 50% chance I will miscarry. Fortunately, the bleeding has slowed down alot since yesterday. So hopefully it stops completely and we can continue on. Prayers are greatly appreciated.

And yes, I agree with Baby Center. This thread is definitely one of the best ones I have seen. So much positivity

Thats so sad that other sites are like that. This is the only site that I've really been on so I cant imagine hearing other ppl be so damn negative. Kinda sad if u ask me. That just says a lot about theyre lives. Get off that thread Audra. They are probably just jealous that u were able to find out so early! What losers lol....

Yes BBC has got to be the worst site I've ever been on and the only reason I tried it is because my pregnancy app is BBC. Does anyone know a better android app? I'm so freaking over it.... always negative! And most of the time, the ones print people down are first time moms! Saying "well you're stupid because MY doctor said....." blah blah blah....ugh...gross....
