I'm on cd 15 today. I had normal cycles before the ectopic. But my last cycle was 4 days longer or so. So hoping to O soon. I hate the TWW but I would rather be in that then waiting to O

Bless me- I check my cervix. More importantly though you should probably be checking your cervical mucus as this is a primary fertility sign. Your cervical position is a secondary sign.

There are plenty of how to guides on how to check your cervical mucus so I will spare you the details but if you combine this with checking your cervical position you have a good chance of conceiving. Only check your cervical position once a day around the same time because it changes position throughout the day. I check for mine every time I go to the bathroom but that's because I'm checking for cervical mucus. I'm in my fertile window now so I keep checking.

I do check my CM... I just don't do it by putting my fingers up there lol... I just see what comes out on my underwear. So my question is... should I be checking by swiping my cervix?

Some might be grossed out by it but I check my cm by cervix only. There are a thousand times that I could swear I was having EWCM but it was only creamy. I didn't think I had the stretchy EWCM that everyone talks about until I started investigating inside. I check cp, firmness, openness and cm all at the same time. I got a BFP after jumping my hubby when my cervix was open and squishy last cycle on o day. Maybe I'm biased because I'm like 100 percent sure that that got me my BFP but along with the OPKs I really get an idea of what my body is doing.

And right now it's apparently giving me the run around lol

I will give it a try! Is there a certain time of day I should check? Or just be sure to check at the same time each day?

I am. Just sitting here chillin' waiting for the eggy. But I've got awhile to go if I don't O again til CD25.

blessme - just around the same time of day is usually what they say. I've been told to avoid first thing in the morning, so I typically check afternoon about the time I am going to do my OPK. I actually check multiple times a day because I'm checking CM but the one I record is the one from the afternoon when I'm doing OPK. It will take awhile to figure out what the differences are between firm, medium, soft and open/closed (I STILL struggle to figure out sometimes if it's open/closed!!!) but after several weeks of checking you'll start to get a feel for differences.

I'd rather be in the TWW. At least then I don't have to worry about making sure to BD and no pressure to catch an egg. Or the struggle of what if I O while visiting family and have to try to DTD on my mom's extremely squeaky spare bed with paper thin walls and my sister and my niece are in the room next door!

I agree, Angel5000. But I could be biased since I O super late and it is way more that two weeks. And my LP is shorter so usually less than two weeks. So funny about doing it while visiting family! There is no way I'd convince DH to BD if we were in that situation. lol

I'm the same way. I don't O until around CD25 and my LP is only 9 days so my TWW is very short and my waiting to O time is very very long.

It took some effort to convince DH to BD in that situation, but after we had been TTC for several months he pretty much was open to whatever I wanted.

mine is more like the three week wait!!! I hate long cycles!!!!! LAst cycle I had was 42 days!

But.... i will be due to test just before x-mas.. so im SUPER excited about that!

Cycle day 8 today. Will start OPK's to catch that egg beginning tomorrow (Thanksgiving). I'm expecting O day to be cycle day 14 (Tuesday).

Totally agree that the "tww before the tww" is the worst!

Unicorn today is CD8 for me as well. Not sure if I'll O this cycle; just came off bcp in Oct so 2nd cycle ttc but first cycle using opks. Should be interesting.

Can someone with charting experience take a look at mine? I'm so confused by it. I assume I O'ed overnight with the dip and negative opk this morning??? If so, why is my cm pattern so off? I don't understand any of this. Or maybe this is going to be another anovulatory cycle? Sigh...

Are you charting at the same time each day? Waking from a solid block of sleep? I have to set my alarm for 5:25am every day, I discarded the temps that were from waking up on my own at different times.

It wont be accurate unless you do it that way. There should be a rise in your temp if you did ovulate?

Are your cycles regular? How many days are you usually? and, were your OPK's really positive? Only because it looks to me like you haven't ovulated yet... keep baby dancing!!! It looks as though you may be just about to ovulate!!
