does chad valley wooden railway fit tge others?

I'm considering getting the chad valley table for the boys for Christmas. I would like to know if i ask family to buy extra track etc will i have to specify chad valley or can i just say 'wooden train tracks' generically. Alternative is for me to buy the table and ask mil to get the set but i don't want to presume and i also want to have it all set up from Santa. I'm gutted because i have twice missed excellent offers on wooden train sets and this is starting to stress me out!

Pretty sure they are all generic. We have ELC and Tesco and they all fit together
