    Hi ladies

hubby and I were considering ICSI as hubby has poor motility from a vasectomy reversal. All my bloods were normal though FSH was 9.2, anyway got AMH done and it's less than 1.5 which is pretty bad. Saw the specialist this week and he sad i have the ovaries of a 50 year old so having ICSI with my eggs would give us a 1-2% chance of a baby.

But he did mention egg donation ICSI and said there was a 3 year waiting list in UK but most people go to Spain and the chance of success is about 50%. It's kind of blown my mind I thought we had come to the end of the road and now there is another optrion. Although we are lucky enough to have 2 children with us (my first dauhter emily was born sleeping) we feel our family is not complete so it was either IVF or adoption for us.

I know I have the capacity to love any child but is it crazy to pop on a planer to spain and have donor egg IVF?

Has anyone done it? Or is anyone thinking about it, I'd love to hear your thoughts/stories.

    Sending you all

I haven't done it, but I know my clinic in Jerez (Spain) has a donor program. Good luck!

It is quite common, yes. I personally would stick with UK clinics, but thats just me being nervous of going abroad for things like that, and the laws are different.

My sister and her hubby did egg donation in Spain and it worked 2nd time. Beautiful girl now, almost 3 yrs. He was 60 and she was 44 at the time it worked. TBH, I would go for it. Apparently they are far more advanced. She lived in N.Ireland by the way and did try treatment up there first.

I'm living in Spain at the momment. If you do I would recomment IVI clinics, they are all over Spain, a bit pricey though but people say they are the best.

There is also a hispital in Madrid called Quiron, and they seem to be excellent too. They have it all over Spain, but I've only been and heard about that one.
