Elf on the shelf 2021

Aww how lovely.

Leonie I love your table setting. I keep meaning to try out a North Pole breakfast one year. Maybe Christmas eve.

We do our North Pole breakfast on Christmas Eve but thought why not set these out for this morning. All just stuff I found in the Christmas bag haha!
I put marshmallows and sprinkles in there cereal to jazz breakfast up a bit as didn’t have anything fancy in.

Our elf normally arrives on St Nicholas day (6 Dec), but think we will start a few days early and have him come on Saturday. He will bring the tree and decorations, so we will spend the weekend decorating. With my girls still so young, it limits the things that our elf can do. Will see what he gets up to this year.

That’s great !! Mine have talked non stop the last few days about them coming !

Seth was so excited. I didnt even mention them and pretended I had no idea what he was talking about when he found them :haha:

So sad, I ordered a book on Amazon ages ago which had 24 different stores which I thought was perfect for the 1st for elves to bring but the date kept getting pushed back and I got an email today saying they still aren’t in stock so I’ve just cancelled the order.
I’ve got their little gift bags ready and table is set up for breakfast nothing extravagant as we don’t have time to breathe on school mornings just gonna add sprinkles to cereal haha!

That's so annoying that they kept pushing the date back. I'm still waiting on a ball for ds2 that's been pushed back

Bev that elf on the shelf sweet box looks incredible!

Ours brought the Dec first boxes.

They each got Christmas pajamas, a book, elf on the shelf candy ornament tin, elf on the shelf blind bag and an advent calendar with one toy advent calendar to share.

Love these x

Grrrr so annoyed with myself ! I left the children’s Christmas Eve boxes stacked inside each other , out in my bedroom and they have looked through the top one! It was all old stuff from last year and the lids were turned upside down on my bed so hopefully they didn’t turn them over and see their names!

Was too distracted finishing off our 1 December box ! Hopefully they will just think nothing off it given I’ve got a few big Xmas bags in my room with decorations in !
Really annoyed with myself!

Alex and Holly arrived this morning with their creepy crazy cousin Krampus :xmas13:

aww hopefully they didn’t notice their names or realize what they were, don’t be hard on yourself, these things happen. They will probably forget about it before Christmas Eve :)

Oh gosh DD2 has a memory like an elephant . I’m assuming they didn’t see the lids since they didn’t mention it and I’ve now moved them! Oh well nothing I can do and like you say they will just be excited anyway ! X

Day 2....apple caterpillar (the barbie doll is there to help prop them up :xmas13:)

Day one and two. I think this year's approach will be very much hide them in various places and hope for the best :haha: I have a few things they are bringing and might do something a bit more adventurous as the month goes on haha

Ours are hiding in kitchen ! Ones in the fridge with the milk , one has its head in the cereal and the other is in with the bread !

Tonight ours have hidden candy canes all over the living room :)

Laughing at the krampus!

Apple caterpillar is a good idea! I may have to use that one.

Today she brought cookies for the kids. So naturally 2 out of 3 kids ate cookies for breakfast!

1st Dec I left a note with the calendars saying they'llbe back today
Today I had them in some fluffy socks which I cut, as I couldn't get a coat
Other ideas I have in mind:
Making some mini suitcases to put their clothes in to officially "move in" and the girls have to hang them on the line
Writing the girls surnames on chocolate coins with individual letters on each and they have to find the name in a coin hunt
Birthday breakfast (Otis' (dog) is on 6th) so I've got the birthday cake straws, need some mini cakes, cookies and doughnuts
Dressing the dogs in santa costumes
I'm putting the girls presents from each other under the tree so they're going to open them up slightly
Build a mini santa sleigh and reindeer to ride (bought a little kit)

Some ideas from the group so far - sorry about the XL sizes! she makes some prinables (like the twister for instance) just need resizing

Just seen this so may be too late. We got ours dressing gowns from B&M.
Hope heating is fixed soon (and not too costly) x
Thank you! I could use this for an alternative time - ie a sleepover.

Plumber came out, the whole system needs flushing due to build up of not being used over the past year. We have a magna clean connected to the boiler to avoid this but it doesn't seem to be doing the job apparently. Typical at this time of the year!

Today’s elf minimal effort it’s been a stressful week!
