Here in New Zealand we use a bit of a combination of phrases It's been so interesting reading through this thread, what a good idea I'd say overall we use more language from Britain, but not everything.
We call our potato chips/crisps chips, but we also call our chips/fries chips (though we call them hot chips if wanting to elaborate).
We use the spelling 'tyres'
We call candy/sweets lollies
Our popsicles/ice lollies are called ice blocks, though we do have a brand of ice blocks called Popsicles
We have our french toast/french bread with either sweet or savoury, I think it depends on the person. I prefer it with salt though!
Oh, oh, and we have McDonalds playlands! There have been some really cool ones over the years...Space themed ones and whatnot. Most McDonalds restaurants you go to, provided they're big enough, will have a play area.
