+++ February 2020 Testing Thread +++

Yeh I joined this site when I was pregnant with my eldest and so glad I did, its great to have somewhere to come to vent or ask questions!
Thankyou! I told my best friend because I was getting her to double check my tests for me just to be sure! OH has told his sister because he felt he needed to say it out loud to someone to get it off his chest. Now we are keeping it quiet for as long as possible. We don't want to tell everyone without telling the kids first but we know 9months is a long time for them to wait so we are trying to cut down some of the waiting time for them. We will start telling people when I start showing and it gets too hard to disguise I think xx

Whenever I do get a bfp think we will be doing the same , I know my family will have their opinions and I don't want it ruined so going to hold off as long as possible and enjoy it for a while , I'm not good at keeping secrets but I'll have to wait it out and your so right it's such a long time for them to wait , I agree with you xx I don't know how I'm going to do it but my partner wants to be surprised so if I do get a good bfp in the next few days I'll have to keep it to myself and tell him the strips were wrong and must have been faulty and I got him his Nike shox he's been looking at for ages there hidden away and I had finally found a baby pair too so going to give him them with the baby shoes stuffed inside them lol he's a size 12 so I'm almost sure they'll fit in lol really hoping this is it . But still filled with fear . My eldest was a twin , then had a misscarriage before my youngest son came and I didn't think I'd be this nervous and scared thought I'd be ok . Always have to go to through the early pregnancy unit since I lost my eldest son's twin then the misscarriage just hate waiting in that room with the memories and praying everyone's comes out with good news x

Poas addict - I can see lines too!

I hope everyone is doing well today. I'm 8dpo and haven't felt anything for a couple days. I was super fatigued at 6dpo but haven't felt it since. Most probably related to progesterone increase. I don't have any of my usual PMS symptoms but they don't usually hit until 3-4 days before AF, so I'll just have to wait and see, 5 days to go before AF is due. Good luck to those still waiting... it's such a long wait lol.

Hi Joanna xx thank you so glad u can see them too x if it's any help I was exhausted around then too and felt nauseas I know it was ridiculously early for that but so I just brushed it off x got sore boobs every now and then but it never lasted x so if I wasn't actively ttc I wouldn't have noticed anything I don't think also had hot flushes xx keeping my fx for you hun xx

I know I'm obsessive but it's 4th time to with 2 hour hold and it's still there starting to question the tests. Going to stop now and just do 1 in the morning

It looks like it has colour to it. Hopefully the start of a BFP. Good luck!

I can see a line :) did you read the test within the time frame ? I haven't a clue but I thought that iud needed to be renewed every 4 or 5 years to stay effective i could be totally wrong xx
Yes, I’m due to get a new one placed next year. 5 years for mine.

And no NOT READ WITHIN TIME FRAME! With sick kids and dinner plans last night, I looked this morning when my daughter brought it to me so will be retesting

Let us know how you get on hun xxx we will all be wondering how you get on x I've never used that test before x

Sasha - yeah try again, could be an evap line. I hope you get the answer you want either way.

Poas addict - what a cute idea with the Nike shoes and telling DH. I've never surprised my husband with a pregnancy, I've always just told him as soon as I get a positive. I did buy a cute baby onesie that I'm saving to show him with the positive test. Perhaps I can keep the secret until Valentine's Day (if I get a BFP over the next week)... but I'm TERRIBLE at keeping secrets! lol.

We tried for our first but I ended up doubled up in pain that woke me from my sleep so he made me go the doctors the next day I went and she seen a faint positive and thought it could be ectopic so she's writing a letter for a+e and I was like oh ok do i just post it in and wait for an appointment. She looked at me held my hand and said no you need to get in there now. Through early scans realised my son was a twin and had lost 1 .then he said he wanted to be surprised on the next one but never mind him I was the one in shock lol but I got my son a big brother t shirt and his face dropped for a minute lol 3rd ended in misscarriage and my baby boy was another surprise but I let him see the digi test that said positive before I looked at it. This might be the last one so I needed some big idea . He looooves Nike shocks only got him a pair for Xmas he hadn't had them in years. So I was thrilled I found him another pair and the baby pair hoping I can do it for vday too keeping my fx for us both xx

The shoes idea is such a cute idea! I didn't plan on telling my OH straight away and was going to think of some surprise but I failed at that, I met him on his lunch break the first day I got the faint positive and he asked how my morning had been, did the kids get off to school OK etc and I literally just blurted it out xx

I caved and :bfn: 7dpo today. I want to be patient but apparently I dont know how to be. And I know the stress isn't gonna help anything. I'm just so frustrated with everything.

I don't blame you one bit lol I don't even know if I'm going to be able to hold it in if I am lol I saved a negative frer test from a few days ago so I can show him that and pretend it was negative lol I'm thinking all this and still not sure if I'm going to get darker lines lol but I'm so glad I get talk about stuff here I'm hoping it will help me not to blurt it out to him lol with our first he didn't want to know the sex so I went along with it cause we weren't living together but with our second I told him he had to know cause we had bought a house just after our son was born so I wouldn't want to be hiding stuff and I wanted to prepare stuff but it took the surprise away for him so kept the gender on the 3rd a secret too but it's so hard and I know he wants to do the same again lol I'll have to stash stuff in my mams house lol

Here's a pic of the shoes there tiny and so cute

I know it's hard and frustrating hun I tested from 6dpo and got so down everyday kept getting faint positives on one steps 10miu so ditched them and got wondfo 25miu and got lines yesterday morning and today but there still not dark enough for me to believe it yet. I thought cause every post I seemed to read and every YouTube video I watched people were getting positives from 7 and 8 dpo so I was giving up hope but take a breath it's ok might just take a few more days xx xx were all here feeling the same so vent and let it out xx

Those shoes are adorable!!

I like to keep the gender a surprise until birth... It keeps me going in labour at the stage of pushing when I want to give up. My nosiness kicks in and I need to know wether it's a boy or a girl so I find the energy for the last few pushes, haha! xx
