Girls with Endo............. :-) :-) :-) :-)

was this your Gp or Gyn? I would get a second opinion . xxx

It was gp, he was very unsympathetic I think. Do you think mid cycle bleeding is normal? He said if it keeps happening to go back after a few months. Appointment to see my gyno in march so guess I'll just have to wait until then xx

I would def highlight it would your gyn , I hate drs that r like that ! They dont seem to care how the whole situation is making you feel ! Ive never had mid cycle bleeding with my endo. Is there a woman gp at ur practice that you could maybe see or another gp ?

I wanted to see a woman but struggled to get an appointment with the lady so thought I'd see a man as I didn't want to be fussy. He said mid cycle bleeding is normal for all women from time to time and it's probably irrelevant that u have endo. I am due AF on 14th so may see if it's normal when she comes around. Pretty confident my chances of conceiving this month are zero as the bleeding must have a negative effect on TTC! It's still not heavy bleeding but a noticeable amount and switches between red blood and brown blood xx

Oh Princess I think you should see someone else. I have never had that happen to me and a gp just won't know for sure. By the way, I may have added two months to how long I was ttc when I filled out papers for the RE. I just knew something was wrong and low and behold....I was right. Trust your own body! Good luck hon.

Hey labmommy. Well I still have light bleeding but it really feels like AF is coming so maybe she'll just come early or something. I had severe aching in my lower back yesterday but it's not so bad today so I'm pretty sure AF will turn up. The doctor didn't seemed bothered that I burst into tears, apart from looking at me like I was a crazy woman, he kept pointing out we've only been TTC for 4 months, I don't think he understands how emotionally draining it is when TTC especially as the gp and gynae have scared the crap out of me making me think there will be problem! I just feel exhausted at the moment and sad that I'm out for another month :(

Sorry to chime in, but I have had mid-cycle bleeding for many years. Finally had a lap done in March of 2010. Dr found stage 3 and 4 endo. After seeing 6 different dr's in the past 4 years, I have decided to take things into my own hands. I am also told the my spotting, starting around 6-7 days after ovulation and continuing to a full bleed is normal- I am disagreeing. I believe that my endometrial lining is breaking down to soon, not allowing a fertilized egg to implant!! Many things can cause this, most importantly low progesterone. So with this cycle (I ovulated today) I will be applying over the counter progesterone cream once daily....fx that it will help!!

I don't think mid-cycle bleeding is normal at all!
Unfortunately, gps are forced to act as stop gaps and try to discourage people from seeing specialists. That often leads them to talk absolute rubbish. My doctors at the hospital say I am lucky I'm alive after how I was treated (or rather not treated) by a number of gps.
On the ttc front my gp and his nurse both tried to tell me that painful bd-ing was down to my mindset even when I cried at the situation. The only reason I got help was because one day I went and saw a locum who agreed to refer me to a private gyno.
I've since been seen by an endo expert on the NHS who said I should seek help after only six months of unsuccessful ttc-ing. Unfortunately, my problem isn't getting pregnant but staying that way. But you ladies should know that you are entitled to help earlier than the usual 12 months!

Thanks for the support girls, I'm waiting for a call back to speak to a female doctor and maybe I'll be a bit more pushy. I refuse to believe it's normal to bleed for over a week before AF is even due! I get really fed up with this whole thing, especially as the gp admitted it could cause me problems then in the next breath told me to relax and then nature will take it's course, make up your mind!!! I think the irregular bleeding could be a hormone imbalance like you guys say, I just want some answers! Xx

I am a nurse, and I will be the first to admit, that once you are in a specialized field of healthcare, you look at a patient and assume that because of their symptoms, they will get better with the plan of care that everyone else with those symptoms have benefited from!!! This is not the case....each patient should be looked at individually and the care plan should be indicated that way....So far this cycle I have taken vitex, B complex (with extra B 12) and now that I have ovulated, progesterone cream. The only difference I can tell so far is that I am having hot flashes and my breasts hurt already- which normally doesnt happen till my full bleed starts.....we will see if my spotting starts or not, which, in the past would be in about 5 days.

Oooh, woundnurse, your symptoms sound promising! Fxfxfxfxfx

ok, so almost 4 days past ovulation, temps are staying up, no spotting and light cervical cramping with sharp pains in my breasts...not normal for me, but also wondering if it could be the vitamins and progesterone I have been taking..........ugh- i hate the tww!!!

Hi girls, can I join your thread please?
I've just been diagnosed with mild endo on my right ovary during a lap, but the Consultant didn't remove it.

Been ttc for over a year now, and I'm being put on clomid next month.

Hey sugarlove :hi: welcome to the club!

How is everyone doing?
I've gotten myself knocked up for the fourth time in twelve months and have everything crossed that this is my sticky one!

that's fab news. Congrats! What stage endo do you have Petitpas?

Consultant said it wasn't fair on the other girls who were waiting for their lap! Really hacked off about it, if it's mild, surely it wouldn't have taken that long to remove!

Hello Everyone!! I would love to join, if ya'll don't mind <3 I have recently been diagnosed with stage 2 Endo after lap surgery last month. The next step is 6 months of Lupron shots,

Has anyone taken the Lupron shots before? How were the side effects?

Baby dust to all!!!

Sugarlove, that's so annoying! :grr: at your doctor.

I'm stage one. My first lap they removed it from my bladder, my tube and my side (all glued together). The second and third laps removed endo from my uterosacral ligament (painful bd and discomfort sitting up e.g. driving/ desk work).

Thankfully, even though I've had some niggles to remind me of the problem I've been pregnant almost continuously over the past year and that has undoubtedly helped my endo tremendously. What's your story?

Hi babybirdangel, sorry no experience with lupron. Welcome, though
