Had a midwife appointment this morning, my blood pressure has shot up and she is a bit concerned so has told me to finish work now. The midwife will be coming out to recheck my blood pressure tomorrow and has told me to keep an eye out for signs of pre eclampsia I hope it's gone down tomorrow.

Hope the rest of you are all ok x

Harley, really sorry to hear your BP has gone up. That was like me last week when I. Had a water infection - is there anything they think that's causing it? I'm glad they're keeping on top of it though for you - at least there being cautious. I'm sure you'll be fine. How you feeling no now?

Missx glad your first scan went fantastic, it's so nice seeing the baby's heartbeat on screen!

Afm, well I've had a proper nightmare of a day! I've booked a private scan which was tomorrow at 4D4U, and at 2 today, they phoned and cancelled (given that I've already paid it all up front you can imagine how pissed I was on the phone!) turns out they're machines broke. Managed to get in to before the stork on Sunday, so all is not lost, but they told me that they've had women phoning all week because it's been broken since Monday! Got back on the phone to them fuming asking why I was informed earlier,a nd when I could expect my money back. She was really vague claiming that she wasn't involved in the business was doing a favour phoning round and letting people know. When I asked to speak to someone in charge the owner is abroad! What a load of rubbish! Ive lodged a complaint with the bank to recoup the money - so word of advice to anyone not yet booked a private scan and want to don't go there!

On top of that, my tooth kicked off again! Cue emergency trip to dentist, and had no choice but to X-ray it. I was really worried, still am but the dentist was great. said the risks are really small and that if we don't get to the bottom of it, can cause preterm labour. End result I've had a root canal (my first one ever!) so feeling rather sorry for myself!

Gem seems like u had a rubbish few days! Glad you managed to get a scan the pictures are brilliant!
I used a girl who lives locally to me, she's brilliant specialises in newborn and weddings. The picture with the red hat on was one I took on my phone, the other was the finished preview she sent me. It's going to take upto 3 weeks to get the rest but I just can't wait haha!!

Can't believe my little girl is 9 days old, she's settling in now as the first few days I bf but she was up every 45 minutes in the night wanting food and it just drained me physically and emotionally, so she is now bottle fed and sleeps 2-3 hours now.
Still in a dream world I find my self staring at her. Could kiss and squeeze her all day!!

Hey am gutted to say I stopped expressing. The baby wouldn't latch on properly so really affected my nipples and the pump wasn't any better x

Oh Jamie, that's a bugger! Sorry to hear that, but it happens and you can say you tried! Curiosity what where you wearing when you gave birth? I'm trying to work out what to buy whilst maintaining some dignity! Lol! I didn't realise I was a bit of a prude!

Hello everyone

Jamie the pics are so gorgeous!!! I can imagine you are still in a dream world, the first weeks are so special I also had to give up bf, I felt soooo guilty but the latch just wasn't there and I couldn't express enough. It's a lot harder than they tell you!! I felt upset about it for ages but my boy is so healthy and happy, I don't worry about it anymore. You have to do what's best for you and baby, a happy and rested mummy is best for baby xx

Gemz your scan pics are fab, and you really can't tell boy or girl which is good. I wore a nightie from matalan for labour, which was quite nice. Honestly tho, you won't care when it comes to it, lol!!! x

Gem I bought a nighty from primary just a cheap long one, never got round to sticking it on. My waters went while I was running a bath so the clothes issue went straight out of my hands, dignity went out the window, I was put in stirrup things and everything haha x

Susie I had every intention of breast feeding full time, everyone went on about how great it was for baby etc but it drained me physically and emotionally, I was also in really bad pain with what I can assume was my uterus or something contracting when she was feeding, it was awful and my oh told me to pack it in when he woke up one night and I was sat up feeding and crying. I had no milk in so had to carry on until next day. I managed 3 days which I'm happy with x

Gemz - Gorgeous pics hun. We didnt plan on having 3d/4d scan due to having so many on the NHS. We've been seeing her every 4 weeks since 20wk scan so didnt see the point in spending the money. If we wern't having so many we would have. xxx

Suzie - how are you and your little boy doing hun? xxx

Zoie - congrats on the scan and seeing the heartbeat its amazing isnt it xxx

AFM - Had 32 wk scan on Tuesday and all looks good. Peanut is still head down and her growth has slowed down slightly. She is now 90th centile instead of 97th so thats good and means the diet is really helping She is still big Fl and AC measuring over a week ahead and HC is measuring over 3 weeks ahead. They wont tell me if/when i will be induced until my next scan on 17th December when i will be 36+4. Seen Diabetic consultant today and she is happy with my numbers even though i have had 3 highs in the last 2 weeks but she said the odd high is fine aslong as most are within normal range

AFM, the midwife has been out every day or 2 to check my blood pressure, which keeps going up I spent a couple of hours at the womens today being monitored. The nurse said they would probably induce me in the next few days, but the registrar overruled her and said I need blood pressure medication and has beaked me for induction in 10 days. I have to go back on sat for more monitoring. When we got home I read the leaflet with the medication and the possible side effects to baby have terrified me , I've decided not to start them, I'll speak to my community midwispfe tomorrow when she comes out to see me. Feel a bit deflated as had started to think we would be meeting our little boy in the next few days .

Oh, also, baby is engaged and cervix has started to move forward and soften and has begun to open. My midwife attempted a sweep, and although she couldn't completely get her finger ally eh way in she said her rummaging around May start things off.... Fingers crossed! X

Ah Harley sorry to hear about your blood pressure! But you may get to see your little one very soon! How exciting! I can't wait for you all to have your babies!

Me and oh popped in to the women's on Monday to take some flowers and a thank you card in. I'm so grateful to them x

Wrighty, the odd high isn't too worrying, but glad they're keeping an eye on you! We weren't going to have a 3d/4d scan neither but as hubby has missed all the extra scans because of work it was an opportunity to see little one

Harley, I'm sorry your blood pressure is still creeping up. Look on the bright side thou they're keeping a close eye on you and you'll soon be having snuggles with your little man! My bp was 137/91 last week so they've been monitoring me too. At midwife tomorrow so will find out what they're planning on doing with me

Jamie, that's such a lovely gesture! Dr kingsland was brilliant when we told him we were expecting, telling us he expected us to come in and show the little one!

Janey it was awesome - thanks hun! Totally recommend it! How you doing now? Have you announced pregnancy to friends and family?

Hope everyone is doing well, I've got an extra weight on my stomach the last few days as the cat is determined to make herself at home on my stomach. Also had a surreal day interviewing for my job - so strange!

Well, got sent back in today (4th time in 5 days!) as my Bp was rising again. They have decided to keep me on the same meds, but they think baby is just ready to come out now, so have brought my induction forward to Thursday night, how exciting!

Ah Harley how exciting. We will soon have another baby on board!!
I never wanted to be induced but was glad in the end I knew she would be here on that day, well early hours the next!

Hi all... Just had to say how amazingly lucky I feel, just reading some posts about 2ww brings back memories of me being a nutter... Would not wish this on anyone but feel so appreciative of the position I'm in, I do feel a little guilty!
Hey Gemz... Yes we've told everyone & I've not been secretive about what we've been through & already I've had people wanting to sit down & discuss the process as they're going through it too!
Otherwise I'm ok, still no symptoms apart from weight gain... Got midwife appointment next week, so looking forward to hearing babas heartbeat! How are you doing?

Hey janey, I had my health visitor out yesterday and she was talking about the ivf and saying "aw what an absolutely beautiful story, I'm so happy for you" which of course nearly makes me cry ha.
Hope your doing ok, be glad of the no symptoms for a while, I had really bad ms from week 9 to 22!! Xx

Afm nothing new to report really apart from my little missy is doing fab!! I just love her so much, I told my oh it's not even close to how I love him haha he told me the feelings mutual! Strange how you can have so much love for someone you only just met! Xx
