I wonder what other women have experienced with CM just days before AF arrives. Right now i am 3 days until AF is supposed come ( Monday 1/8/18). When i checked my CM this morning it is still creamy and had some stretchy CM (milky egg white, i could stretch it about a inch) and the opening of my cervix seems hardened just on the tip, every where else still squishy. This is my first month of paying attention to it but i dont think i remember still having the stretchy CM so close to AF and i have heard of the "dry days" but i dont seem to be dry.

i did take a HPT this morning 1/5 and it was negative, I took a shower and got ready and looked again before throwing it away and there was a super faint positive. Since i checked it outside of the 10min window after taking test should i just disregard the faint positive

Keep faith - my CM is usually thick and white and crumbly before AF.

So far I haven’t had any more spotting and had a good progression on tests. However I know the spotting can return at any time and full bleeding at any time so I’m resting as much as I can. I am praying for this baby to stick and stay around. It’s just that in the back of my mind I know that the little bleeding I had can’t be a good sign

Cookie dough, omg, call for a beta! That is great progression! I know the 'back of your mind' feeling but maybe they could get you on progesterone or something?

They won’t do one here if I have more spotting over the weekend I’ll go back and ask for more tests x

I’ve had bleed/spotting though this pregnancy so far. It showed on scans that I’ve got a bruise they said it could be from were baby implants

I had a SCH during my last pregnancy and the sonographer did say if I get a little bleeding then that will be it, but I never did. So I could have possibly had another that bled early. I haven’t had any more since yesterday afternoon so I’m keeping everything crossed that it stays away x

BBT took a bit of a nose dive this morning and ICs aren’t progressing so not sure what’s going on. I do have a cold and sore throat so been sleeping with my mouth open so I know that can contribute etc.

Argh I hate this waiting! I’m gojng to take a FRER tomorrow to see if there is any progression there. Then AF is due on Tuesday so we’ll see what happens between now and then.

I just have a general not great feeling about this pregnancy. I can’t explain it but it’s like whenever something happens (spotting, BBT drop, non progression etc) it’s like I was just expecting it. I’m always surprised when I go to the loo and have no more spotting! I know I need to wait until tomorrow’s FRER to have a better idea but that seems so far away!!

I think I’m too anxious and emotional!!! I took another IC with SMU after I’d had breakfast and a drink and got this. Slightly more diluted urine.

I know I need to calm down but it’s so hard! I’m really sorry if I’m annoying anyone with my posting, I’m just struggling at the moment with having faith this baby will stick after losing my son last year

I wonder, looking at the huge difference between fmu and smu, whether you need more diluted urine to use with those ICs. I'm assuming they're the 10mIU tests? People talk about the hook effect, perhaps it's that.
Your temp will likely be the fact you slept with your mouth open - this is why I swapped to vaginal temping because my temps were all over the place (I snore and talk in my sleep)

Yeah I was thinking that, my urine first thing is usually very dark as I don’t drink that much in the evening or I’m up to the loo several times a night. But I have a drink first thing with my folic acid etc so my urine for the second test was much lighter. I’m not exactly sure how the hook effect works but it may have something to do with it.

I’ve got a FRER to take tomorrow so we’ll see what that shows. I’m really hoping it’s very dark given the 48 hours since yesterday’s x

Also, does temping vaginally differ much from orally? As in do I have to get a new thermometer? (Obviously wouldn’t use it orally after vaginally lol!) do I just insert the tip into my vagina and temp like usual? Just so I know for any future cycles.

How are you doing happycupcake? Anymore news on tests or are you waiting for after AF is due?

The hook effect in a nutshell is where there's too much hCG in your urine for the test to work properly, so when you dilute your pee the test then works properly and you would have a darker line. They aren't designed for huge amounts of hCG.

Vaginal temping varies a lot from oral because you have much higher temps vaginally than orally, but it's more stable than taking them orally as your vagina can't snore or leave itself open or talk in its sleep like a mouth can. You do precisely what you say with the thermometer, and you can use the same one, just if for any reason you wanted to take temps orally again try to remember where it's been lol

If I go though mid cycle spotting again this cycle I think I might lose my mind. I need to book a fasting blood test and waiting to my cd 21 blood test as I’m being referred to fertility specialist.

I don't know if you know this (I didn't have any idea, no one told me!) but with your CD21 it's important you don't eat until after you have that done too otherwise you risk lowering your levels

Joining the party here . Been waiting to ovulate for two months, and finally did five days ago . I'm expecting AF on the 17th,so I'm going to hold off testing until the 18th, unless the Dr says to test earlier.

Currently cd 14, not sure when I ovulated but i have been tracking cm and symptoms. experienced ewcm on cd 13 and had cramping and dull pelvic pain yesterday and currently now. I'm hoping i have a chance this month because i only bd 2 times during my cycle window. Keeping fingers crossed because with my first pregnancy we only bd once the whole month and i got lucky after ttc since 2012-2014.

I also stopped my birth control method the week before my last period. Do you think i still could have a chance possibly?
