January Hopefuls...What's next for us???

I am TTC from past 3 months, I really hope I get BFN this month. I used OPK first time and BDed continously for 7 days before O day and on O day too.

I now have sore nipples and getting cramps from past 2 days. I am on my CD22 and usally have 28 to 29 days cycle.

I had some pimples on my face other then that no other symptom... Do you think it can be my month? I really hope it is!

Hi there. It could go either way. :) If we girls have learned anything on this journey, it's that no matter what our symptoms are, it could surprise us. I had cycles with symptoms and didn't get prego, and the cycle I had no symptoms, I did get prego. The only thing that made me suspicious was that I didn't have the usual brown spotting I get leading up to AF. It's a heck of a journey, lol. GL girl. If you never get pimples, could be an awesome sign. :flower:

Beaglemom, that's cool you got another reading. Although I'm more pleased with your Cheri reading. :winkwink: Is this new one correct about your LP? I know you wouldn't know for sure about your uterine lining, but since you track your cycles, you'd know about how long your LP is. I say go with Cheri's prediction and I'll keep rooting you on for this month! :)

apms, I agree with ERose. If you never get pimples/cramps/sore boobs than they are good signs...every girl is different and has different symptoms or even none at all. Keep positive and good luck!

Beaglemom, it is fun to get another reading but I am still thinking Cheri is correct! It only takes one perfectly planned night of BDing and that is exactly what you had this cycle. It has been freezing by me too and now they are predicting 12 inches of snow over the next 36 hours...so ready for a vacation!

Now I regret not using opk's this cycle...I didn't think of it before but now I have no idea when I ovulated or if I even did yet. We are still planning on BDing every other night until I get a positive. Trying not to symptom spot since I have no idea where I am at in this cycle, but yesterday and today my lower back on the sides are hurting a bit. I looked back at the November thread and I had the same achy feeling...

Savvy, hope that's a good sign for you. have you had any O symptoms? Sometimes I feel like AF during O time.

Thanks for the encouragement. I hope it is this month...but if not, Cheri would then be predicting April as a conceive month (January delivery). I def like my other 2 readings because even though the sex is different, the months are close. My husband read that on New Year's Eve 2 sets of twins were born with different birthdays (31st & 1st). So maybe I will have twins, girl & boy, one in Dec & one in Jan :D

I don't think my luteal phase is an issue. While on clomid, I was at about 15-17 days. Before clomid, I would pretty much be about 14 days. Towards the beginning of TTC again around July my O date seemed late. But then I would have a longer cycle, so it all balanced.

I have had a fear of the thin lining & progesterone only because of how long I have been off bc without a positive. My dr did a progesterone check, but it was not specific to a cycle date. I have considered buying cream, but am so nervous to use it without talking to my doctor.

Again I appreciate your encouragement, I really think the specialist is my future & this is not my cycle, but who knows? Anything can happen.

My dr appt is tomorrow. I am nervous. I have a feeling she is just going to refer me...so we will see. I wouldn't mind a couple more months of meds vs going to IUI. But based on previous appts, I just am not confident she will take me down that road.

Beaglemom, thanks, I am hoping it is a good symptom since I rarely have back pain...but I could have slept wrong or another reason for it. No other symptoms yet. Never had O symptoms unfortunately. Guess I am bummed now that I didn't use the opk's last weekend and then stopped them all together. I am such a planner and not knowing when I O, if I O'd yet, when AF will return, etc. is driving me crazy.

I love that thought beaglemom!! I always wanted boy/girl twins! Even though I am hoping this is your month, I like your idea of the twins.

Good luck with your doctor appointment, I hope you are able to work something out that you, your hubby and doctor are happy with.

Thanks...honestly I will be happy either way...I have no issue going at it a couple of months with only meds. But if they send me on to a specialist, I am okay with that. I will just view it as a sign to just move on. But I def want IUI first before IVF.

FBG, remind me, you were taking FertileCM this cycle, right?

FBG, remind me, you were taking FertileCM this cycle, right?

I was. I only took it twice a day when i remembered; which i was kind of bad at. This cycle was just more fun and i think that gave me more natural cm. i don think it helped a little the other thing we did that i truly think helped the most is i used soft cups to hold everything in overnight. i didn't even know they were in once they were in.

We use the soft cups too. I really like them.

I have thought about trying the soft cups but was too scared I wouldn't put them in right or it would get lost inside or something. I know this is way TMI and I don't expect an answer...but are they easy to insert? I usually wear tampons but usually end up with cramps from inserting them.

FBG, how are you feeling, any symptoms?

If you have issues with tampons, you may not want to use them...basically they are a circle. You push 2 ends together & start by inserting one of the ends inside...once in, it will expand...you may need to slightly adjust. When you are ready, you pull it out by inserting your finger & pulling the edge. I think it is really easy. I am usually doing it while lying down.

However, I cannot imagine using these for AF as they are intended. Seems it would be messy.

Thanks beaglemom for such a detailed explanation and video - that really helped me get how it works. I completely agree that it seems like it would be really messy for AF but work excellent for BDing. We usually BD at night and we have one of the adjustable beds, the feet go up pretty high, I just slide down and it seems to work better than laying on lumpy pillows. I just fall asleep like that. The soft cups would be nice for BDing at other times throughout the day.

I used soft cups after BDing and they gave me my first UTI. Which sucked! But my DH and I did it 2 nights in a row and after each time I used one. It was too much for me. Just be careful when using them.

Ok ladies I think I am ready for this month without IUI. I have purchased items for the baking soda douche. I have also bought mucus thinning pills that only has guaifensin in it. I am not sure when to start taking them though. I read online to take 200mg every 6 hours. But on what day?? And we will use preseed and probably the soft cups too. I bought a saliva ovulation test and DH countboost. I have already taken my femara too. I am also going to try ad drink a lot of H2O. I hope all these shenanigans give me a :bfp: has any one taken fertileCM and noticed a difference? Thought about trying that too.

Thanks for the warning, I think I will skip them for now but keep them on my list for another cycle.

Sounds like you have a great plan and you are all ready for some fun BDing! Are you going to temp or use opk also? Wishing you lots of luck...keep us posted!

Never tried fertile cm but I think you start cough medicine 3-5 days before O.

Sore breasts today. Can't recall having them this early in my cycle. I read online it is probably just progesterone.

I am going to use opks too. I will use them at noon everyday. Don't know about temp. I really don't understand how it works. Makes me sooo confused. I also am going to ask about using the trigger shot. I hope my 'RE will prescribe it. But if not I hope I get a + on one of the opks.

FBG, how are you feeling, any symptoms?

Savvy I feel really good. i have a head cold but i have had it for a while now. I dont have any symptoms. Honestly I feel like i have miscarried bc i have no symptoms yet. i know that sounds silly and i should just enjoy this time but i really am scared to miscarry no matter how much people say dont worry. i dont have any cramping or bleeding, so i will keep saying my prayers for a healthy baby and for everyone to get their bfp soon.

Oh FBG, I'm sorry you're worrying. I want to keep telling you not to, but I know it's easier said than done, and it doesn't help when people say not to. Please do keep in mind though, a friend of mine has two kids and literally had no symptoms at all in early pregnancy with either of them. Any symptoms that she did get, didn't come on until she was six weeks or so, and even then, she didn't have much except slightly sore boobs. No nausea or anything like that. A LOT of women don't start having symptoms until they're a bit further along. Think about all the women who get prego when they're not even trying, and they have no clue they're prego until they realize they missed their period!
