I'm going through the exact same thing! I've always wanted kids but my fiance says he's never seen himself with kids. He says he'd be more than happy if I got pregnant, but he also doesn't want to "try". The only difference is that we don't pull out, regardless of whether or not I'm ovulating. We've been doing this for 4 months now to no avail, but I've been having a lot of symptoms this month so I'm praying!!
It's great that your husband feels the same as my fiance- this can be tough on guys, especially if you're as crazy about getting pregnant as I am (haha). Luckily, communication is key and my fiance and I were finally able to compromise with the NTNP method (I get to tell friends that we're "trying" and he gets to not use contraception- he hates condoms and I cant take BCP).

Yep. Sounds like we are sailing the same seas! Hubby wants kids, just not right this second. Lol he was more for having kids in our future than me at one point, then we had a scare and now all I can think about is becoming a mom, it's like it flipped the switch or something lol.
I'm so jealous that you guys are really NTNP! I try telling my man that there is only a 25% chance each month of getting pregnant, even if you are TRYing to get pregnant, but I guess he doesn't wanna risk it. Oh well. Our time will come!
What dpo are you on? And when will you test next?
I'm on CD4 I think, my ticker should say it in my signature. Lol my cycles are averaging around 32 days, oh how I miss my perfect 28 day cycle from when I was on the pill! Haha
Anyway... Nice to "meet" you dear. And welcome to our thread. It's been a great one. These ladies are fantastic. So supportive and a lively bunch too! We like to joke around a bit, lol! I hope you continue with us!

I did it! Just ordered 25 hpts and 25 opks and a brand spanking new bbt! should arrive friday-ish!
Fiancés gonna think i'm nuts!! Contemplating keeping it to myself! He's still so far from wanting to ttc!! He wants something to wait for, "wait for his birthday" "wait until after surgery" "wait until blaaahhhhhh blahhhh" i dont want to wait anymore!! I keep thinking what if it takes us ages this time round?? What if we wouldn't get pregnant for a year or more? Whats the point in waiting if it could take that long anyway? Don't think he understands that it could happen that way lol he must think that he has super swimmers and we'd nail it first time, pffffft ahaha think i might try and talk to him tonight if he's in a good mood! i musttt convinceee himmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!! his brothers bubba is due next month, hoping when he sees his first niece/nephew and holds a newborn again he'll get all broody and want another one!! pleeease get brooooodyyyyy!!!!!!

AF has turned into spotting already, shweet loving the shortness of my periods now! havent had any af cramping either!

Sorry - I swear all I do is talk about myself!! How are you all????

CoppoLove: Welcome to the thread. I agree men are always like that. My hubby is not giving his cent percent to TTC thing. If I get pregnant then he is ok to welcome it. But he is not totally involved in the entire baby making thing. Anyways we had a talk this weekend and he agreed to try seriously. Hope he doesn't change his mind.

I am sure I have ovulated. All the post ovulation symptom is here, bloating, slight breast tenderness etc. Temp is also up.

ICs hunni he will come round, one minute Simon wanted to wait the next he didn't! I sent him a picture of my friends BFP but didn't say they weren't mine and he got a little excited and a bit gutted when I told him they were hers, from then on he has wanted to TTC and now he can't wait for number 2! Maybe try testing the water a little to gage his reaction, if you can without upsetting him that is! Lol xx

Looks like all our men are just whatever on the whole deal. Haha. Well, NTNP is better than preventing. There is always a chance which kind of makes it exciting too, just without all the pressure.

Ya laura time will come when our other halves will be totally ready to this TTC thing. If not totally then partially. lol My man said he is up for loads of love making and baby making too after a heated discussion this weekend. Then he made it up to me. Gosh, I'm so broody. My mother in law will be taking care of a 4 month old this weekend for a friend. I hope we get to go over and Ryan can see him for a bit. Maybe it'll help push him along if he sees a sweet little baby face!! I hope I can convince him to hold the baby. I don't think he has ever held a baby before! Lol

So I just started my "Training for the pre/post natal client" course...
As if I wasn't broody enough. Now I'm gonna be reading about pregnant women everyday til I finish this. hopefully I'll be able to put that knowledge to good use for my own pregnancy when the time comes!

Other half said once his business is sorted we'll start to think seriously about it.. His shop is under refurbishment, their deadline to be finished is our birthday (we were born on the same day lol) which is 22nd August! Due to ov on 20th so maybe next cycle...

Aww that's good!! A day to look forward to! It's not fun wondering if its ever gonna happen. My husband's little bro and sis have the same birthday but 3 years apart! Lol they just turned 12 and 15 on July 31!

I'm desperate for hubby to give me an idea when we can actually stop preventing... he said if he gets this photographer job with the BMW CCA we will start putting money aside for a house (after he gets his car's transmission changed to manual...$2300.00 ) I asked if he thought we should buy a house before we have kids, and he pretty much said yes... That's gonna take like 5 years til we have enough money for a down payment on a house...
My heart is aching to see a light at the end of the tunnel, to know we can at least NTNP. But seems like that won't even happen for years. I feel like crying when I think about it. I mean, I KNOW God is in control and will ultimately make it happen when it's time.
But what if we have trouble conceiving? My sister can't have kids- I worry I may go thru the same thing. I'd rather know sooner than later, if its gonna take a while I wanna start now. But he doesn't wanna hear it. I can't hardly talk to him about it. I'm afraid it will push him further away from wanting a baby.
At the family party on saturday, we were sitting on the couch together and his cousin called us "honeymooners" and he says "yeah, we are still honeymooners cuz we don't have kids yet"... My heart was crushed... You can still be madly in love with your spouse when you have kids. Even more so, since you have made another life, a baby together. I guess I'm done ranting... I just don't know who else to talk to... Sorry for the downer today... I try to be so positive about it all but sometimes it just gets to me.

One of my friend gave birth to a baby girl yesterday via c-section. Just saw the baby's pic on FB. Happy for her. She is my childhood buddy, my school mate.
