Lookin for NTNP buddy. Just need to CHAT!

Thanks :)
I have a question. It may sound silly. Yesterday I was talking to one of my friend. He and his wife are trying to get pregnant and they are not pregnant still. They are having some issues with egg formation and on medication now.

Btw he said if the hymen is not broken then its not possible to get pregnant. I am not sure whether I bleed or not after my first :sex:. I mean there was a tiny tinge of pink when I visited washroom then but that was negligible. Now I wonder about what he said about hymen !!!! I know this sounds lame. But I am worried because I didn't bleed from intercourse ever. And what I saw was some pink thing and not sure that is blood or not. Now as I am trying to get pregnant every little lame thing scares me.

I don't think I bled after my first time, but most commonly the hymen is broken initially when a tampon is inserted, so since you are already bleeding from period- you wouldn't know, and that's typically before one is even sexually active. Don't worry about that fairyy. Less stress the better, dear.

Ya u are right. I should try not to stress over it.

Btw FF has given me cross-hairs finally :happydance:. According to it I am 3pdo today. Ovulated on cd14. So my expected AF date is 19th instead of 20th. Seems this cycle gonna be 29days long.

So we had a bit of a talk this morning. I think it makes him nervous so he jokes about it a bit, but I think maybe we had a little breakthrough. I don't want to really TTC, I don't like the stress and sex becoming a "science" idea. I just want to make love freely with my husband and hope we fall pregnant down the road. Even if its a year, I'm just so tired of having almost no hope of falling pregnant. Right now the only method we are using is pull out during fertile days, I estimate my ovulation day by how long my cycles are and he pulls out the 2 days before, day of and the 2 days after. Well it's been about 6 months of that (off BCP in february) and still no baby, so I guess it's working
So I have marked on our calendar which days are my fertile days each month. When we talked about it this morning I let him know, that even when people are "trying" there is only a 25% chance of pregnancy each month, and that there is only one egg a month that can be fertilized by a sperm and that it's only available for that 12-24 hours and then it's gone, chance of pregnancy that cycle is over.
He couldn't give me a straight answer of either "no, I want to keep preventing on fertile days" or "ok, we will just ignore fertile days and stop preventing". This was before he had to leave for work, so I asked him to think and pray about it and we will talk again when he gets home.
I told him if he is ready to NTNP to just erase the fertile day notifications on our calendar, so that way he is controlling the next step. I don't want him to feel like this was all me.
Please pray he opens his heart to this idea, it's stressing me out to keep preventing when I have such a desire to be a mom and for him to be our baby's daddy... Oh he will make such an amazing daddy... I just melt when I think about it. I try to talk about how great it will be for him to teach our son or daughter about his passions, Jesus, cars, photography, technology, etc. at first I was going to say how cool it would be for him to teach our son about cars and such and then I thought, well if we have a daughter, he would teach her all for that and she would make an amazing wife to someone some day, and he really liked hearing that. I think that maybe gave him a push he needed to consider NTNP.

Oh i so hope he deletes the fertile days for you hun!! Hopefully you got through to him and he will start to see things in the same light as you.

Question ladies, my opks should arrive tomorrow. When should I start using the opks? Last cycle I think I ov'd cd18 but could've been later if i have a shorter LP than the average.. so what do you think? I was thinking cd17 but is that leaving it a bit late as its my first go at it?

I haven't used them before, but I would think to do like it was a "normal" 28 day cycle, or a little longer since u typically are. So maybe CD 14. That will prob be right in the middle, and maybe just before Ov since ur cycles are a little. I'd wanna make sure to use them before I Ov'ed for sure. Just IMO. Let me know what u decide. Good luck, dear.

And I'm gonna be praying all day that when I come home, I see the fertile days have been erased from the calendar. Oh please please pleeeeease, let us just NTNP! I just want a shot at it, I don't even care if we don't get pregnant for months... I just want a chance. Otherwise I worry that if I fall pregnant, he wouldn't truly be happy cuz he was still preventing. Ya know? Less stress when we can just go for it.

Ica - I never know when I ovulate so I start on CD14 then depending on how dark it is, I do one every 3 days until I get a positive which then I do until it turns negative.

MrsC - FXed for you in that your hubby deletes the days off your calendar.

Geez my memory is rubbish. I can't remember what else was written!

Ooh thats a good idea red, i'll give that a go! Might do every other day instead of every 3 days though just incase I miss it haha!
CD14 it is then! cant wait to poas, even though its just an opk! i seriously have an addiction hahaha!

What time you getting home Corny? Although Im not sure what the time difference is lol it's almost 5pm here
I'll be on the look out for updates, and don't be disheartened if he hasnt deleted it right away, it may take a couple of days for him to come around to it. But i'm sure it wont be long until you're ntnp :) got my fingers, toes, legs and eyes crossed for you! lol!

ica: I agree with Corny and Red start from cd14/15 if its your first time using opk. From next cycle onwards u will get an idea when to start testing. But do it daily from cd16 I would say. U know I get +opk on cd14 normally (I did opk for two months and charting for few months). I start testing from cd12. This month I thought of starting from cd13 and it came up positive straight away. So sometimes it varies. So u don't wanna miss the surge.

corny: I very much can feel what u are going through hun. Looking forward for him to ditch the fertile days calender notification and make love to you irrespective of time of the month. Leave it to God to bless u with a baby.

Oh good! U have a plan for the OPK! :) and yeah, I'm tempted to do them too just for the POAS addiction!! Haha but I won't lol
Today is busy busy busy for me. Worked 8am to 12, then worked out- it was awesome btw: 5 mile bike ride, plank challenge, then 100 burpees(squat thrusts) with push ups!! Woo! Gonna shower (cuz I REALLY need it after that :haha:) and clean house, then a couple of youth group girls comin over to hang out then youth group pool party 630-830pm, then FINALLY get home to talk to hubby after 9pm. So I'm hoping he's made a decision or at least has something to say about it by then.
And thanks!! Ur too funny... Even ur eyes are crossed! Haha :winkwink:

Thanks fairyy, ur sweet, I need all the reminder I can get that God will bless me, like he always does!

Mrsc I hope those fertile days are gone from your calendar!

Back home now ladies soci'll be back to pestering you all! Can't decide whether to temp or just let this be what it is and if no BFP temp next month, really don't know!! I want to stay relaxed but I also know what's going on! I might see what happens and if I go over CD37/38 again then temp, really just want to let it happen :) xx

Glad your back Laura!! :hugs: I think let this one be, u just got back from honeymoon, enjoy your first month as husband and wife, worry about it next month!

Fertile days still on calendar, but when I asked, he said we would start NTNP "soon". better than nothing I guess. So here's how the convo went this morning
Me: so what does soon mean? Not this month?
DH: not this month, but I haven't completely made up my mind about that yet either
Me: ok so fertile days could come around and you could change your mind, then? Or not change your mind....
DH: right. But I could.
Me: ok I just don't wanna get my hopes up too high. So telling u about the whole only 25% chance thing and how it all actually works helped you?
DH: yeah :)

So I think that's kinda a step forward, at least I put the idea out there that we should really NTNP. And he didn't seem totally turned off to the idea. So I guess we will see, my fertile days are 8/19-8/23. FXed that he either doesn't prevent, or I Ov a little early and we catch the egg anyway! Haha if we just NTNP, I'd be happy even if we didn't fall pregnant this cycle. Just to be more relaxed about it is all I want.

Corny : That's a good amount of exercise. Keep it up sweetie.
About the conversation u and your husband had was good it seems. Seems he is up for NTNP thing. Hope he doesn't pull out then or as u said I wish ovulate early. Ovulation varies by days each month. Not usually happen on same cd each month. So what u are thinking of as fertile days may not be actually fertile days. :hugs:

Aw corny, definitely sounds like progress Hun! Won't be long now :)

Laura welcome back sweet!!! I agree with corny, just kick back and relax this month! And if there is a next cycle then temp so you know the score! Hopefully there won't be a next cycle though lol

Missed my delivery today! Grr!! Only popped out for five minutes!! Getting re delivered on Wednesday!

Haven't had sex for ages, I'm actually scared about how much it's gonna hurt me :( this is horrible!! Haven't had a letter from the consultant yet!! Tempted to have a few cheeky glasses of wine tonight to take the edge off it haha!!

Mrsc I think you just need to know where you stand and once you do it'll happen :) yh we're just gonna go with the flow of rings, maybe for a couple of months so no symptom spotting and such for me, I'll test at CD33, 35 and 37 I think, just wanna not think about it all, so I'm here for you ladies but not gonna talk about me much if at all :)

Bless ya ica must be horrible :( did you try the gel and stretching? Could always work it into foreplay :winkwink:

We had a break from :sex: last night, was exhausted! I bought DH Star Wars Lego as a wedding preside and he started it last night, he's finishing it tonight, I'm getting tired and he just opened the last bag of it, may not be any for us tonight either! Shattered! Been a busy day and I got 5 orders for soaps tonight so been on the iPad for hours sorting the details for them out! Need my bed...and my husband in it!! :haha: xx

So my mother in law is babysitting a 4 month old baby boy for another single mom, and he is beyond precious!!! I got to spend some time with him and he is the happiest cutest little darling! Oh my goodness, I got to feed him and bathe him.. I am just so stinkin broody right now!! <333333 lol
I nannied for a family last year that has 2 kids, girl was 7 weeks when I started and the boy turned 2 about a month later. Oh how I loved caring for them... I miss them terribly! (They moved to a different state for the fathers job) and now I nanny part time for 4, 8, and 10 year old children, they are wonderful but it's different than the little ones. Although more fun in some ways, I love getting all the experience working with different ages, hopefully it will make me a better mother when it's my turn. Lol
I have just melted today with this little one, he is just too precious, such an easy baby, sleeps well, eats well, happy, loves bath time. *sigh* soon...soon...soon!! Haha

Just posted some wedding pics in my journal ladies :) xx
