Lovely Ladies TTC

Fingers crossed that we all O this cycle and that we all have "normal" cycles this month too!!!

I'm having a costume party tonight for Halloween/my bday (which is Tuesday) so I think some fun and a little light drinking is in order! I've gotta celebrate being pushed into a new decreased fertility age bracket, lol. Just kidding :) Good bye 35 :haha:

AuCa I don't know anything about CBFMs I'm afraid :( How long are your cycles normally? Sorry if you've already answered that question a million times!

Well, anywhere between 30 and 40 days. My last two cycles were 39/40 days, and I didnt ovulate until CD25/26. But maybe my body is trying to make up for the two longer cycles this time and I'll have a 28 day one :happydance: I'll keep testing I guess...

Awesome that you got some great O-news :happydance::happydance:Happy BDing to us all :haha:

Nice! :happydance::happydance: Definitely time to celebrate!

AuCa have you ever had 28 day cycles? I always think it would be so weird...by CD28 I'm still gearing up :) Well I really hope that it was an accurate reading and you're going to ovulate soon.

Ah your party sounds fun AngelNoelle :) Def wouldn't worry about having a couple of drinks!

I was just thinking it would be so weird if I did o in the next few days and get pregnant. The last time I fell pg was actually Hallowe'en 2010 and we had a party, DH liked my witch outfit a little too much haha :) So if I fell pg this cycle the due dates would be nearly the same....thinking wwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too far ahead here! Just thankful 100mg clomid is working, I'm happy with that for now :)

So I already got a "high" reading on my CBFM today (CD8). Which really confuses me, as my last cycles have all been fairly long, and as far as I understand there should be only max 5 days of "high" before ovulation.

I guess this means that either this cycle will be short/normal, or that the monitor is getting used to my body still. Hmmmm.

Can you use the CBFM w/irregular cycles? I was looking into them to see if it would work for me. I thought I read you have to start using the test when it tells you to but if you have long cycles then you'll be testing a long time and the tests are kind of expensive.

Have a great party Angel. I'm saying good bye to 35 on Thanksgiving. Everything you read says..once your 35 it's harder, it'll take longer- blah blah blah. Ah phooey on them :haha:

Happy :sex: It would be neat if it works out for you. Maybe we'll all have Halloweenie conceptions <3 or close to it.

I doubt it, lol. To be honest I didn't really pay much attention to my cycles for many years, as I never had the "right partner" and therefore didn't want kids at the time. I do know that they were always longer than the 28-day average though, but since my mid 20s or so not that much longer (somewhere between 32-35 days). When I was younger (than around 25) I had extremely irregular cycles. Not sure what happened that made them more regular (it wasn't BCP, I know that).

Fx'ed for a Halloween baby! :happydance::happydance: My brother in law was born on Halloween, and everybody always makes fun of that, poor guy, lol.

Well, officially the thing says it works for cycles of a max length of 35 days. And on average I do fall into that range (I still blame my last two 40 day cycles on us moving to a new house). And then I've read that women with longer cycles will just set the monitor later. You are supposed to set the start on CD1, but in theory you can set it to whatever day of your cycle - so eg set CD5 as your CD1. But yeah, that works only if the cycles are more or less regular, as you have to know what your approximate length will be.

To be honest, I was contemplating to set CD1 to a later day, but now I'm glad I didn't since I already got the "high" reading so early on. I think I might back up with OPKs this cycle though...I am guessing my body might be making up for the last two unusually long cycles, but who knows.

I'm "only" turning 33 in December, but in my DH's family I am the "super alien", lol. They are living the "Indian-style" family model - brothers and their wives (of course Indian and about 10 years younger than me...) living in a house with the MIL, none of them working, and SIL pregnant now at age 24 or so.

I'm "only" turning 33 in December,

Hey I will be turning 34 in December .. One more year to be pushed into low infertility age bracket ..

I am ovulating today .. But DH's sperms are not good at directions :( .. Still waiting for the tests as we are having few days of public holiday now ..

Happy Burp day for Tues fellow Scorpio :D Hope the party went well last night :flower:

Hello ladies I'm back! I hope all is well with everyone! Ok so I started temping for the first time this month and I'm not too sure if my thermometer is broke :-/ my temps look very weird is there any certain way they're suppose to look? Please help I'm so new to this!

BeingPatient have you been logging your temps online? I use FertilityFriend, if you're not already on it I would recommend it, and then you can post links to your chart so people can see it and comment on it :)

How weird is weird? How many days have you been doing it? Temps can be a bit rocky particularly during and immediately after your period as there can still be some progesterone hanging around. Also if you have trouble sleeping, sleep with your mouth open, are ill, etc etc these can all affect your temps.

It is hard when you first start, my first chart was a total mess haha :) As you get a few more cycles under your belt you'll start to see what's normal for you x

I think Smiler82 said it all  I have a link to my Fertility Friend Chart in my signature for example (if you click on the bar, it will open my chart in a new window). I used to chart on paper but just looove Fertility Friend. I also have the app on my phone, so I don't have to search for pen and paper every morning. It's so convenient!

Do you take your temperature the same time every day? If you don't your temps will likely be all over the place. You are also not supposed to get up/move around before taking your temp. When my alarm goes, the first thing I do is to take my temp, before anything else.

Do you ladies that use FF use the VIP version? My trial is running out and I don't know if it's worth paying $45 for the extras.

Ya, I signed up for the VIP version last month. Personally I love all the additional little gadgets/statistics etc, but I really think it depends on the person. I'm just very "nerdy" that way - love the overlays and statistics etc.

I haven't signed up to the VIP features, I seem to get on fine with the basic. My cycles are so irregular and my temps can get so crazy the overlay features etc are pretty pointless for me. Thinking about it though, that kind of stuff might be helpful now I'm on clomid.

I've been on FF for over 2 years and that entire time, they've been saying that $45 is a 'special offer' :D

I figured they just do that to make us think that we actually saved money, when in reality we really didn't, lol.

Hello ladies..been crazy here. But I am on cd 10...seems like it's taking FOREVER to o. Due to O on Halloween. Bd on Thursday day 7, Saturday day 9 and today day 10. Take a break tomorrow and then start up Tuesday day 12 through Friday!! Using pre seed. hoping for a Thanksgiving surprise!! Good luck!!! Kepp you all posted!!!

Smiler82,AuCa: thanks so much for the info! I've been temping since the 18th so about 11 days I always take it every morning at the same time and I do it while I'm still in bed, I use fertility friend! I have the mobile app too since I don't have a computer and its so easy but my only concern is it looks like my temps were up and down I'm still new to the website so I'm not sure how to post especially since I can only do things with the Mobil apps I'm thinking I O'd yesterday but not sure if it is too early AF left on the 22nd is it possible? Idk please help me ladies! :-)

Hmm, I think it would definitely be possible that you O'd yesterday considering your AF timing. What day of your cycle are you on, and how long are they usually? Did you notice any EWCM?
It would be much easier if we could actually look at the chart though. When you say "up and down", by how much do you mean? My temps are also not always the exact same, the still fluctuate a bit. And once FF detects that your temperature was rising and it stays up for 3 days (I believe) it will indicate that you ovulated.

So I decided to take a cheapie opk tonight now that I'm getting closer to my expected O date and it came back so positive. I took one around 12 this afternoon & it was still so light! I quickly grabbed my CB opk and that came back w/the smiley face positive. So I guess I'm going to O early but I wonder if I'm on the upswing? I have no ewcm but my cervix is high. I can never really tell open vs. closed. We planned to bd anyways so I guess I'll be covered either way. I'm glad I tested twice :)
