I asked about the blighted ovum but the nurse said hcg goes up but doesn’t double. I’m prepared for the worst either way though xMummy: my cousin went through something similar recently (the HCG levels were rising, but on a slower than normal basis, had all the symptoms, and have very positive pregnancy tests for a while), she unfortunately suffered a blighted ovum miscarriage. It's where the embryo doesn't grow at all. She went in after her third HCG level (it still was rising), they gave her a scan and found nothing.
I would really see if about a second opinion, especially if you are; it's safer to know about a possible "viable" pregnancy sooner than later. I've never heard of HCG levels being that low in a viable pregnancy; even if they are going up. My sister is pregnant her levels were 375, than 1412 and she was only about 3 weeks.
I wish they would find some answers for you.
Me at the current moment (I got my first AF after birth control) on the 4th of March; so won't be testing at all this month. Good luck to you ladiesMy OB (aunt) looked at everything, and said since I'm so healthy and fit; and at a normal age, it shouldn't take long at all for me to conceive a child (this cycle I would be due about 2 weeks before Christmas), so we will see what happens

I asked about the blighted ovum but the nurse said hcg goes up but doesn’t double. I’m prepared for the worst either way though.. update: because I went into panic mode.. blighted ovum will have hcg levels rise until bleeding and tissue is passed then will drop.. Iv already bled and passed tissue but continued to test positive x
We won’t know until next week hun but I’d assume if I had leftover tissue I’d still have some bleeding or spotting? I don’t know..@Mummy23beauts they say anything about left over tissue that might be left? Could cause positive tests still.?
Was just wondering if they said anything about that. A friend of mine had left over lining after she bleed from a loss had to have a d&c to get it out because of infection. We won’t know until next week hun but I’d assume if I had leftover tissue I’d still have some bleeding or spotting? Yea I had a friend that had the same but she knew it was still there because she wouldn’t stop bleeding and she felt unwell. Iv just read the signs of retained tissue is: bleeding, fever, cramping. I mean I don’t hold out much hope because I did have the bleed. Was just wondering if they said anything about that. Progesterone after ovulation can cause changes in mood such as anxiety. Hopefully it just means you have good progesterone. Try not to worry.@Mummy23beauts I echo everyone else. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m a nurse myself, so I’m especially mad at that nurse for dismissing you like that, as well as the doctor. Lots of love.
Has anyone who’s been pregnant before experienced an unexplained increase in generalized anxiety during early pregnancy? Ever since I ovulated I’ve been super anxious for no reason, and I’m just curious if it could be a pregnancy symptom… might be something else entirely, but hard to know. Still too early to test.
Iv heard retained tissue can be painful, im sorry you went through that.. my appointment is on the 17th so not to long to wait. The main thing i want is to know that i am not going to do downhill with my health as i wasnt that great to begin with, i dont expect them to find a baby and i am prepared to find my levels either dropped or not as high as they would like. xxI had to have left over tissue removed with my 10+4 miscarriage and the cramps were unreal. Pluss I was bleeding extremely heavy
I was doubled over in pain.
What day do u go back next week hon?
It's Friday now so hopefully time will go quickly.
shae my aunt was a midwife at this hospital for over 35years, she use to look after me but she retired and it went downhill, with my second daughter i went into early labour at 31weeks.. was transferred to another hospital (at first they suggested one that was miles away nearly a 4hr drive) but dh argued and we got the hospital in the next town over. once i got back to this hospital and discharged they 'forgot' to send my pain relief prescription and i was left for 3 days in agony after my c-section. So their attitudes do not shock me at all.@Mummy23beauts I echo everyone else. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.
